Chill out.

@QUENTOPOLIS and then what is the point of all mods for a large number of loading screens IF THEY SHOW ONLY ONE SCREEN? It takes the longest to start the game, and I often don't use saves, so 99% of the time I see only one screen (now it's Chinese). I am changing these mods from one to the other in the hope of finding a mod without this problem. If you can't fix it, please specify it in the description in capital letters!

I love this mod so much, please update, thanks

does anyone know why this might be?
rv Dec 23, 2024 @ 5:36pm
this works fine and is amazing, but it literally only displays a single photo during starting the game, it doesnt switch at all, when i load into a playthrough though its fine

@Quentopolis, these are fantastic, thanks mucho! Was sooooooo tired of looking at the dead chick in the canoe.
QUENTOPOLIS  [author] Jul 24, 2024 @ 8:41am
@Hex -- The game has a necessary function of picking a starting loading screen to always show first, which is used by the vanilla game to show off new DLC loading screens, and is replaced in this mod for a change of pace. In the next update I'll remove this mod's starting screen pick to keep the vanilla rotation there for a new break.
Hex Jul 24, 2024 @ 2:41am
The first loading screen when launching the game is always the same (a snowy siege). Is that intentional and is there a way to fix?
Ferchu Jul 12, 2024 @ 7:26am

Great mod. Loading screens are really beautiful and inmerive. So close to the game art style.
WholeLottaWhiske Apr 21, 2024 @ 12:08pm
amazing mod, looks very similar to the base game loading screens also very detailed
scott4dges Apr 8, 2024 @ 12:11pm
@Quentopolis, thanks I was just really confused when I posted this and since it's a loading screen, that was my first thought. No disrespect intended. Thanks for your great work!
QUENTOPOLIS  [author] Apr 7, 2024 @ 2:31am
@scott4dges -- It is not!
scott4dges Apr 6, 2024 @ 4:41pm
Is this mod responsible for putting the ad for "MoDCon3" in the loading/initialization screen?
T Mar 24, 2024 @ 9:52am
damn, I've had this active so long that I didn't even realize some of these loading screens were modded in. I legit thought most of these were vanilla, good job!
QUENTOPOLIS  [author] Mar 24, 2024 @ 9:25am
Updated!
All the loading screens now properly appear in the pool and will replace the first loading screen, but not override all the vanilla ones from appearing.

Requires an update since LotD came out.
For loading screens to be used filenames needs to be added to loadscreen_settings.txt file.
rayancoelho Mar 4, 2024 @ 10:59pm
Could you please update the mod to the new patch, 1.12.1? Many thanks in advance!

@SWORDS -- Yes!
Swords Oct 27, 2023 @ 1:15am
Does this stack with other loading screen mods?
wKavey Jun 21, 2023 @ 2:53am
Is it possible to export these images for other uses? E.g. I'd love to have them as my desktop wallpaper slideshow.
Marv de Marvenlöse May 29, 2023 @ 11:55pm
Bravo for this mod ! Award awarded! Please add more in the same style. Thank you

I've been using this mod for some time now and I must admit that the mod is simply great. Applause, for a great job.:steamhappy:
Thank you to the creator of the mod for the time and contribution he put into this mod.
Pazerna Łasica May 17, 2023 @ 11:37pm
I also install IrfanView and after open it's only black. Also image information show color count = 1
QUENTOPOLIS  [author] May 17, 2023 @ 11:34pm
@Pazerna Łasica -- Thanks for the heads up, I'll look into it. I believe it is due to the file's large file size that it may not be properly displayed, particularly in media explorer. The conversions alternate between ~1 MB and ~10MB for little reason, so it may be worth re-converting them to DDS again.
Pazerna Łasica May 17, 2023 @ 11:33pm
I also resubscribe. Same problem with: q_dlsp_screen_152, q_dlsp_screen_153, q_dlsp_screen_154 - other works.
Pazerna Łasica May 17, 2023 @ 11:19pm
Unfortunately, I can't paste the link to OneDrive to show it because it's being removed. I will describe it this way, after entering the gfx/interface/illustration folder, the file q_dlsp_screen_1.dds is not loaded correctly by the system.
QUENTOPOLIS  [author] May 17, 2023 @ 10:37pm
@Pazerna Łasica -- How do you mean?
Pazerna Łasica May 17, 2023 @ 10:26pm
It is problem with q_dlsp_screen_1.dds?
Rhaeven May 1, 2023 @ 5:39am
Awesome! Thank you for the help and for sharing your work here.
QUENTOPOLIS  [author] Apr 29, 2023 @ 3:30pm
@Rhaeven -- No they do not! This mod doesn't replace any of the vanilla loading screens and is compatible with other loading screen mods.
Rhaeven Apr 29, 2023 @ 2:46pm
These are beautiful. It doesn't replace the vanilla ones does it? I would like to keep both :)
Scrivener Apr 13, 2023 @ 6:59pm
@Akyyka, I've found ways to convert .dds to .png, but they aren't what I would describe as fast or convenient.

Good if you want a specific image though.
Akyyka Apr 9, 2023 @ 3:36pm
@fisher @scrivener you can add your own images to the loading screen by converting jpeg or png images to dds with this website [www.aconvert.com] and I'm sure you can find a website that converts dds to jpeg or png.
𝓕𝓲𝓼𝓱𝓮𝓻 Apr 8, 2023 @ 10:26pm
yes, i want to use them as my computer wallpapers ,but it can't work actually :bad_beauty:
Scrivener Apr 5, 2023 @ 3:14pm
@Quentopolis, thank you for point me directly to the files. Unfortunately, windows didn't like the .dds file type.
QUENTOPOLIS  [author] Apr 5, 2023 @ 1:45pm
@Scrivener -- If you're running Windows, then it should located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\2931089429\gfx\interface\illustrations\loading_screens or something close depending on where you have Steam installed.
Scrivener Apr 5, 2023 @ 1:05pm
@Quentopolis, where does this save loading screens to (file name)? I might as well just point to it as my screensaver/background folder.
jojo_star Mar 16, 2023 @ 6:04pm
oh beautiful
nakaz101 Mar 8, 2023 @ 6:56am
Wow this is great, hats off to the artist and thanks for making it into a mod. Small things like this add so much to the game.

w mod
HeirandtheSpare Feb 14, 2023 @ 8:12am
Ok, thanks for the explanation.
QUENTOPOLIS  [author] Feb 14, 2023 @ 7:05am
@child_of_air -- Nothing to worry about!
The game version of the mod is listed as "1.*.*" rather than something like "1.8.*" or "1.8.1." The game doesn't officially like using "1.*.*" since it sets too wide of a supported game version boundary, over a specific supported game version. But, since this is a visual mod, the likelihood that it will ever break with a game update is very small, so having a wide supported game version range just makes it more convenient for everyone so that the mod doesn't throw any 'unsupported game version' errors every time there's an update.
HeirandtheSpare Feb 13, 2023 @ 5:57pm
I'm getting an error from this mod: [15:51:28][dlc_descriptor.cpp:70]: Invalid supported_version in file: mod/ugc_2931089429.mod line: 10
