Would it be possible to make the turret fire on its own just like all the others? That manual activation "feature" really puts me off of the thing, to the point I've never built it in over 3,500 hours in the game.

i think its not mod issue my mod list is rather clean and i dont have any diffrent turret mods and swarm cant shoot over walls

tylermburns62 it does by default ingame, the mod just changes range, if its not firing over walls, it might be mod issues
