Everyone should now use the "Unit Voice-Overs Expanded - factions plus" instead of this (backup) version as it includes more supported factions and is basically a super edited upgrade to Teamson's version (and involved other existing UVO factions).

@Antonidas wanted to do, but the quality sucks. Same with BF3 etc. Which is a shame, as the voice acting is quite good.

Strange. Maybe it was another UVO mod that did that then. Or Teamson could clear this up if there was ever support added for GM. :jake::steamthumbsup:

unfortunately does not work with dlc global mobilization, German units have English voicing(

Hi Marc, I understand that that works locally, but if I were to host a mission on a dedicated server this edit wouldn't transfer over to clients would it? Every client would have to change his PBO, correct?

You can add voices to factions without needing to repack the mod. Add this code to your mission's init.sqf:

"Get yourself a .pbo manager -> extract the files -> find voice_asia.hpp -> open it with notepad -> add those lines (dont forget the ; tho) -> install arma tools via steam -> pack them again as .pbo -> done.

This is literally like opening a zip file, changing a sentence inside and then zipping it back up."

@Looksmaxxing More or less. There is a "alibi" arabic. Which isnt great, but works if you dont understand the language at all. It could be that its not even arabic tho, i couldnt tell the difference

havent done this for a while but google will help you. Right click -> config viewer -> search for cfg class. Something like that

What do you mean by "right click on a unit > CFG class" ? I have nothing with CFG class when i right click on a unit

It's odd it doesn't work for you with 3CB since those are based off RHS- and in turn should be supported. You can follow the steps of the original description to add them if you need to get that to work. Try disabling the UVO Main options.

How to add compability
Find out the faction class id for the desired faction: Go into Eden Editor and right click on a unit out of the desired faction -> CFG Class. Now you will see a lot of information. Scroll down until you hit the section with words starting with "F" -> there you will see a line called "Faction = XY" (For example "CUP_B_USMC") -> now either provide me this ID or add this id to the desired language / pbo in the voice_language.hpp for example "voice_amer". Just put them in the middle of the other factions[] (dont forget the signs "" and ,)

Supported Factions
I am sorry, i havent properly documented this.
Major faction mods like CUP, RHS, IFA3, ProjectOpfor are supported, as well as several other factions. Adding support for unsupported faction is fairly simple and will be explained in a thread below. If you add a faction, please give me a sign so i can add the faction to the mod as well. Want me to add a faction? See the thread below.

Usage
Please see the third image above. Make sure to disable the voicelines from the UVO Main Mod in the mod options. (As those come with a reverb – the ones from this mod dont) You can also disable whole languages if you dont like them or for example want only enemy AI to play the voicelines. Simply untick "UVO_ARAB" (For arabic for example) If a faction creator did not add the proper language for radio chatter you can disable the radio chatter via the options, so only this mods voicefiles get played. (Example would be english speaking Germans from the BWMod)

Languages
Currently included languages are: British English, American English, German, Russian, French, Arabic and Chinese.

@HBAOplus Yeah I'm not doing that. CUP should already be supported anyway. If you want to add more factions, you can make an expansion mod using this as a base like this guy did: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2963488959

I don't plan on adding anything to this because it's just a backup. :jake::steamthumbsup:

@Archus out of the box: maybe (depends on the wwii mod) major should be. Otherwise see the comment of Freddy from the 2. may. You will need to put the faction id into the specific voice_language.hpp (voice_russ for example). Also you might want to tweak the settings of the uvo main mod (since this mod add language on top of the arma comm system. So you might end up with russians speaking russian - but english on radio for example. You will find a setting in the uvo main mods settings (ingame)

@Boris, i was having exactly the same issue and there is an even better way to fix it:

In each pbo is a config file called voice_(pack).hpp so "voice_russ.hpp" in the russian pbo. Thats the config where the language for each faction is defined.

Antistasi uses the default factions "BLU_F" for the occupier, "OPF_F" for the invader. You basically just have to add them to the voice_russ.hpp and remove them from the voice_arabic.hpp and voice_amer.hpp

This solution is a bit more flexible than copying the content all together.

Im still trying to find a better solution for this problem, i'll let you know if i find something.

Can't offer much help with that. In the default UVO (or RHS, I forget), it allowed you to disable faction assigned voices according to side (EAST, WEST, GUER). The original creator of this extension mod I don't think included these options in the addon settings.

You can try digging into the pbo files of this mod and copying all the contents of "uvo_russ.pbo" into the following and see if that works.
- uvo_amer.pbo
- uvo_arab.pbo
- uvo_asia.pbo
- uvo_brit.pbo
- uvo_fren.pbo
- uvo_germ.pbo

Greetings , love the mod . I was wondering is there a way to force AI to use a singular voice preset ? For example : In my Antistasi game I'm playing against 2 factions that are both Russian speaking but the default AI templates in the editor (my guess) for them speak English and Arabic so I would like to force them to speak only Russian for immersion.
