I've added snow flakes made of non reactive and non burnable, non gameplay affecting material.

They fall from snow ceiling now. enjoy!

yes that was an old version but it was laggy.

Now it uses material particles that only appear from top :)

, and I also noticed that the particles in the winter biome only spawn on the ground, that is, on top of the snow pixels, which is why they can only fly up or sideways, that is, they do not fall from the ceiling like snowflakes, although in the YouTube video they do.

ok I've added knobs in the mod settings that control the windy particles. you can set desert and snow individually. Enjoy!
Nooo, I like the snow, but it's a little strange that there's such a strong wind in winter, as if it came from the desert.
is there a way to divide and adjust the wind strength between desert and winter?

that's probably how it is by default. you can disable it if you like :)

thanks for reporting. I was a simple comma missing from my concatenation because the old list was not occupied.

But the mod got an update which I wasn't aware of and now I fixed it.

Basically all I tried to do with this concatenation is to disable being able to fungal shift those particle life forms, because some can certainly lag or crash and ruin the experience (Yes I've seen this happen and this change was reactive.)

This mod is somehow not compatible with either Twitch Extended or its dependency Config Lib. When Particle Life Mod is enabled, the menu for Twitch Extended within Config Lib will not be available to access. Twitch Extended's functionality still works, though. Not sure if this happens with other Config Lib mods, as I've only used the one.

Great mod, though I do have a suggestion: A way to adjust the desert sand simulation? It's always blowing around so much that it looks like we're in a sandstorm. I'd prefer it I could lower the probability so it only occasionally blows around. Maybe add some smaller/tamer animations where it's only pushing around a small amount when at a lower probability?

for the mod settings there is not 0.01

The values range from 0 to 125

So I'm not sure where you're setting their quantity.

And you are talking about the material particle fireflies or the coal pits firefly enemies? Because if you're talking about the enemy, you might be commenting in the wrong mod.

for some reason fireflies have started spawning much more often, even when i reduce the amount to 0.01. It wasn't always like this, so I don't know if because mod incompatibility or update or what

yes I do. in fact I enable all of them too to get all the boss fights. I know it can be difficult. but it is something that can be overcome with practice. 3 days ago I was getting my ass sucked by the game. But yesterday I was successful. I got a good run and managed to get full enemy progress again. It's mostly a question of practice and of course rng. I love the new enemies mod. It makes the game more of a horror game, but the stuff it adds just makes the experience more worthwhile!

ok so in the previous system, there could be as many particle life spawners at a time, as there are possible biome chunks active.

Now I set a limit of 4 chunks at a time, and the other chunks have to wait until these 4 chunks get filled, then it handles the other spawners later when the player enters the chunk.

I have a suspicion that I know what was causing your lag. especially if you were zooming very quickly between biomes.

I made the mod optimized to prevent overloading the system in those conditions!

damn try to switch off the plants and mycelium. if that helps, then I might consider going back to old versions of the plant and mycelium systems

So uhh, there seems to be a bug introduced with (I'm guessing) the new "chemical reactions in flasks" mechanic? Putting a water bug into a water flask, or scooping one up accidentally as you're filling it, causes the flask to split evenly between water and bugs.
