@lonewind Unlikely, but I have not checked - this mod just adds new plants, but if there are new dye systems they probably aren't set up exactly right

Is Expanded Dyes compatible with the recent dyes update?

it would be cool if every color that exists in DF had a dye, that would require a lot of work though

@Autunite they do indeed need to be milled first. This is easy enough to do by putting either a windmill on the surface or a waterwheel on a river to generate power and attaching millstones to them. If you would rather your dwarfs stay below ground or windmills have no wind power on your map, you can use querns instead but this is much slower. Make sure you have bags to put the dye in.

So I have some of these plants but are they used directly at the dyeing place or do they need to be milled in some way? I seem to be having trouble finding a work station to use them at.

Do the new colours match up with Dwarven preferences? I had one Dwarf who like "dark blue" but no way to colour anything that colour to help the Dwarf's mood.

Wow, i was just working on a mod very like this to go with my Mineral Powders mod, which also adds inorganic-based dyes. I think I'll just focus on my inorganic dyes from Mineral Powders and subcribe to this for organic-based ones.

- blood vine (scarlet dye)
- emperor's robe (purple (plum) dye)
- flame vine (orange (pumpkin) dye)
- mage's friend (cobalt dye)
- meadowsmint (mint dye)
- meadowsrust (umber (burnt_umber) dye)
- meadowswife (pink dye)
- skyflower (sky blue dye)
- sun petal (golden dye)
