@Sykaas Do you mind if I copy and share your image? I've been letting people know about converting mods over when I find ones that work, but the image is worth 1000 words. Also, I recommend a "use at your own risk" warning. I don't think things that add items and stuff to the game or make drastic changes will work so well just being ported, but smaller ones like this should be fine. In fact, I'll be porting this one over into my own local now!

Happy to report this is working in build 42. You just need to copy a few files.

Subscribe to this mod to download it, and find it at D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2908032256\mods\JSStableWeights

All you have to do is, inside the mod folder (JSSStableWeights):

You will see a folder called media, and two files: mod.info and poster.png

Copy all three items.

Create a folder here called 42, paste those three items inside.
Create a folder called common, paste those three items inside.

Now your mod folder (JSSStableWeights) will look like this:

+ 42
__ media
__ mod.info
__ poster.png

+ common
__ media
__ mod.info
__ poster.png

- media
- mod.info
- poster.png

Just do that and then the mod works as normal. The Sandbox option for the weight gain modifier is at the very bottom of the character page, beneath the XP rates.

WHAt about B42?

One thing I would like to see is depressing Moodle increase the gain of weight (when check force an increase)

The mod might be bugged with multiplayer or just in general. When hosting a server I start with the default 80 weight but after a few in-game hours my character now has 75 weight.

is the weight scaled of your presets or what ever your current weight is set to? there are some mods like better backpack upgrades that make all vanilla backpacks be a little higher carry capacity. also some trait mods and dynamic trait mods have dynamic traits that increase your normal carry weight. ive been trying to single out the issue as using all the mods i have with this one at the bottom of my load order im getting some days where i need around 6k calories just to maintain my weight witch is honestly just a joke completely opposite reaction to what im using this mod for

@CrispyChestnuts
Definitely feel free to release it.

@JS you still around? I made a modification of this called Sticky Weight that kind of pushes the player weight towards 80 that i'd like to either give to you to release, or to get permission from you to release it. I used your mod heavily to make it. Let me know here or on discord. my discord is crispychestnuts

I've also had the same annoyance about the unusually fast weight gain/loss with PZ without taking either Light Eater or Hearty Appetite traits, so I'm glad you've provided a solution!

I've worried more about staying between the 75-85 weight threshold than zombies biting my head off in my recent vanilla apocalypse playthroughs, LOL!

Thank you & much appreciated!

I use your mod in every game. Thank you.

Hi JS, it works great, thanks!

The weight change factor should be in the character tab in sandbox settings. By default the factor is 0.5, so you should lose & gain weight at half the rate. The mod is multiplying your weight change by this factor, so if you set it lower, you'll change weight slower, and higher will change weight more quickly.

I don't see how it could be set up neither in MP nor in Single sandbox. Could you please tell me how this works by default? I don't understand exactly just by reading "Every ten in-game minutes, this mod calculates each player's change in weight, then scales it by a factor that can be set in sandbox options."
JS  [author] Feb 1, 2023 @ 10:55am
Not redundant, no. Calorie level will just set when you should be losing/gaining weight. This mod just modifies the amount you lose/gain.
Smiley Face Killer Jan 30, 2023 @ 12:07pm
Would it be redundant to use this and that calorie burning rebalanced mod? It's a yellow picture with text on it in workshop Ill see if I can't get the link in a few

This should be in base game. Good job!
