I started the game with your ships because the aesthetic was cool. I've got enough time in game now that I kinda want to start designing my own, so I'm going through oneye's (now dated) set of guides. I now realize exactly how phenomenal these ships really are. You nail almost every one of oneye's guidelines on cost efficiency.

There's some minor downtime on the beam with the spike v3, but I suspect that might be due to changes in power production since you last updated? But other than that very minor quibble, these ships are friggin perfect.

Last thing to people who come to this ship set later: these are the perfect starter ships. The game's AI currently handles kiters fantastically well and other ships not so much, so you don't need to manually control your ship or micromanage your fleet. Each step up in ship size correlates surprisingly well to the next difficulty tier, so upgrading is pleasantly straightforward.

You can load them up in the ship builder for your own use. But they don't spawn in career, it is just a ship collection.

I see, thanks :) I did and it works well. however two of the guns were missing crew assignments in the stigma v1 I believe, but it was easy enough to fix. Thanks for all your hard work! The ships are so well made, and there are so many!

I think the game's recommendation is assuming not using crew roles or assignments. When using crew roles and crew room assignments you can really cut down crew requirements and maintain near 100% efficiency. In case you didn't know, while loading the ship you can also load the crew roles and crew assignments that I've included with the ships.

Hey, do you know how accurate the crew requirements are? for example the spike v4 is 260 people, yet the game recommends over 400 crew

Yeah, horizontal ships have better maneuvering with the same amount of engines compared to diagonal ships.

The Crimson beam cleanses all corruption. Unfortunately no, nice idea though. If they added more paint styles, more layers, more decals or in-game custom decals, then maybe.

So are these just ships I can use? or a faction a can find in the game? because ive subscribed to the mod, but it doesn't show up in my mod list.

Once you subscribe, a folder will appear in your ships library in game. Workshop items will appear in the Steam Workshop folder. In case you don't know, in build mode, click the hamburger icon on the bottom left next to the Ship Editor text, and click Load Ships, it will bring up your ship library screen.

the huge ship mod is already there without any downloading. and people who look for ships at the workshop are able to use mods i think.

Thanks! No, I haven't thought of flagships, the biggest ships are already near/touching the edges of the build grid. Making them bigger would make them look too blocky. Yes there are mods for that, but I would rather have the ship packs be playable without mods.

I'm sooo jealous of people with the imagination and creativity to design stuff like this. I'm just too pragmatic in this regard, everything needs to be as efficient as possible, which almost invariably means it ends up looking like dogshit. Hope you know how fortunate you are for being this creative :-).

If the Crimson Swarm was based off of a cultural merge thingy between the Imperium and the Cabal, that would be really cool as lore due to the ship similarities between them both.
