I've done very basic migration of Athena Framework to 1.6
If anyone interested in testing, you can download this release [github.com]

It's mostly untested right now, please backup saves which you care about.
Feel free to create issues on GitHub for any errors you will encounter.

Prevents majority of tiles to be selected as starting bases at start, seems to be random.

shame this mod is causing issues, my game just does not want to load or crashes on startup with this mod enabled
really does suck a lot as theres a few cool ass mods that i want to use but i cant as they use this as a dependency

Hey, can anyone who's having world generation crashes post their Player.log file here after a crash happens? I'm a dev for a mod that uses this framework, and I can try looking into getting a fix for this made.

I am also experiencing similar issues to Para~, Cthuluhu the 3rd, and Aquila. With Athena Framework enabled, after proceeding past the Pawn Selection Screen, the game black screens for a moment before entering an infinite map generation loop where the log is inaccessible through the UI. The only solution is to forcibly close Rimworld.

I am commenting this issue front and center for other users who may have spent many hours trying to diagnose the issue as I have. I will also post this is in the Bug Report section for ease of access, and with better documentation, in case it is buried by comments.

dawg, who the #### uses Prepare Carefully anymore? Character editor is where it's at, far less mods conflict with it, whereas quiiiiiiiite a lot of mods get bugged out with Prepare.

This mod is broken, causes an infinite error log and breaks things like Map loading, Prepare Carefully, and for some reason some skills. I'm certain its this mod as I went through my entire 355 mod-list individually removing mods.

I did see in the comments it bugs out with Integrated Implants, but removing that mod still results in the error. Unfortunately, I am not willing to spend another 3 days enabling mods one by one with this mod to figure out for sure, errors logs don't even mention this mod.

Can confirm one incompatibility is from Integrated Implants, but am having others as well. Just know this one was an issue because someone else had this bug, removed that mod, and it fixed it. If I find others, I'll let ya'll know.

I also have the map loading error, so far I have encounter incompatibilities with biomes fossils and rock and stone.

I likewise have the map loading issue, I tried multiple binary searches which failed, and I am unaware of why athena is causing incompatibilities.

@Aquila I found out from the modder Dub's Discord myself. Currently unsure what causes it either there, only know this is the main culprit. Trying to sort through the other mods has been a pain and, to be honest, It's hard to diagnose the issue when the issue locks you in a perpetual load and fail you can't even get a hugslib log for. So yeah, I had to yeet it. Sad too, the Star Wars Mod that uses it is good

@Cthulhu The 3rd I have been having this exact same issue and have been having a hell of a time trying to figure out what mods it is considering I can't pull a log. I came here from narrowing it down to (what I thought) was Integrated Implants, but after removing this mod I no longer have the issue. Not to say this mod is to blame, def a mod incompatibility, just can't seem to figure out which.

Anyone else having issues with the framwork causing a map load issue? In this case the issue is that some map tiles won't load in at all, they just act like they don't exist on the map when you hover over them. If you try and settle near one, it leads to an infinite game loading loop that won't even let you bring up the console before it loops again, pretty much preventing you from being able to get a good hugslib log.

hello, i have a question regarding the compatibility with CE.
you mention that "damage amplification" doesn't work with it, is that just like, weapons with scaling difficulty such as sirvans eltex weaponry, or does it apply to any adjacent mechanics as well?

Just tested it, can confirm verifying game files fixes bug with the latest VEF update, there wasn't actually any issue with Athena Framework. Gotta love Steam's unreliable workshop, looks like Steam never downloaded the April 9th harmony update on my end. For anyone else that has come here troubleshooting just verify, no need to revert the previous VEF version like I previously suggested.

VEF's May 1st update causes issues if you're using not up-to-date Harmony, verify your game files on steam and don't use any mods that bundle Harmony with it.

Issue is not caused by Athena but by VFE's patches, Athena code is being blamed due to also making patches in relevant pieces of code.

did some more testing, it seems any use of the 'capacity' function of the modular hediffs leads to the float menu error after installing one module

@SmArtKar installing/removing now works perfect, but I'm getting a float menu error when I try to right click to have a pawn install another implant of the same slot type. the capacity level my implant modules have is set to 1, and the slot capacity limit is set to 3
