I have a question, are minions supposed to be able to damage the drillcart, deconstructor and paver? Did some testing and even with Abigails flower she damages it just by moving past it even if not actively attacking it. Though the Yarn ball minion from the thorium mod seems especially murdery towards it even with carts are critters turned on. Am I missing something?

sounds like a really cool mod.but i cant figure out how to obtain life essence

It's been awhile since I last played with this mod, and I can't remember how you get life essence. I've been playing with some friends and we recently got to hardmode and we still haven't seen a single one.

Now I want the Paver to lay tracks in space. I Remembered the setting and made it a critter. My minions still seem to want to kill it.

It's protected from that, but it's a bit odd. Most of my minions are modded btw, from those two mods:

Especially the Bomb Buddy makes it sound like the Paver has engine troubles. :))

that was not intended. released an update that adds that critter companionship option and fixed that placing the wrong platform thing

I finally found the golfer and am playing with the block mower. (Rotfl, it's great! :) ) It places wood platform, though I have ashwood platform in my inventory. Is that intendet?

Could you add an option to exclude the mod's carts from the Critter Companionship Guide? :)

Closed the whole game and started again, and now I can kill them. :)

My minions already tried to kill the first I placed, the paver, and it was immune. Hm, let me check whether critter protection is to blame....

I put the Guide to Critter Companionship into a chest, saved and restarted, all three carts still stay at 30/30. Maybe some other mod is to blame.

Seems I can't kill bunnies and penguins either, will investigate further. :)

not sure what you mean by the drillcart is unkillable, I can kill it just fine. it is intentionally immune to falling blocks and traps if thats the issue. you are intended to stop it by attacking it (it will drop itself and remaining fuel and drills). it is possible that it is inside sand blocks preventing anything from hitting it

Seems unkillable, btw. It stopped drilling upon world save exit and restart, but it's still sitting there, threatening to roll on and right into the sand under the ocean.

This is great fun! Planted some bushed, will fill a pond with fish, am now trying the drillcarts.

I think it would be fun to make fish mating randomly really rare but if you throw specific alchemy ingredients, item versions of fish, and dye plants the fish could eat them to bred instantly.
each fish would want a different food to do it.

Thank you! I wasnt aware it was a critter. I accidently hit it while trying to clear a wall and it turned around so I figured it out but thanks for letting me know.
Just wish it didnt kill me or steal the resources I put in it but it worked out in the end and is getting use lol

oh yeah critters are always released facing left, you can make a bumper track on the left side to change its direction when it starts moving and hits it

You could had made the drills having more HP for don't die on the first silt block on their way or make they only be able to die with pickaxes like the turrets from calamity , really , those drills sound a paradise to clean the world but you rage when they find a silt block

Oysters are doing it too, but I don't think they were earlier? I should note I'm playing multiplayer and this might somehow be because of that.

Are the obsidifish (and maybe other fish, haven't tested yet) supposed to deal contact damage? Also, would it be possible to make summons not try to attack them?

The max amount of npcs that can exist in the world is hardcoded at 200. changing this would require an enormous amount of effort as i would need to change the conditions of every for loop in the vanilla game's code.

Is there a hard cap on how many fish you can have in your world in total? Not even the same type.

ill look into those bugs. the multiplayer one might be a bit hard to pinpoint a cause and fix for

I think fish despawn if you leave the area in multiplayer
Cuz i did a test and my frost dagger fishes just disappeared

Also fish on the edge of the map also despawn if they go out of the world

Can you perhaps fix these two bugs

yes, there most fish cannot breed if more that 15 of the same type are in the area. a couple have different limits.

Like...limiting the # of time parents can reproduce...direct siblings can't reproduce...something along these lines?
