Beautiful remake of the original, though I found from playing it with my friends that it doesn't naturally have goals placed for objective modes like Oddball and King of the Hill. I know I could remedy this myself in Forge, but would you be able to put some down, for those who just wanna jump in and play those modes?

I know right? Bungie made a worst version of Lockout on Halo 3 but it was a DLC map that played horribly with vanilla options due to the high abundance of equipment pickups on such a small map. And then it took them to the end of their run to release a remake of Midship for Halo 3 that was exclusive for the ODST disc and that regularp layers could only try at the very end of 2009 when Reach was about to release.

And do we even have to talk about Halo Reach's maps? Is considered to have the worst map pool of any Halo for a reason lol

It will never stop being insane to me that Bungie and 343 never just took all their old maps (or at least the most popular ones) and transferred them to their new games, instead opting to just release the sequels with the same number of (or in some cases LESS) maps as the previous title.

I love Sanctuary and was so disappointed we never got Sanctuary in Halo 3 and MLG had to use so many ugly grey maps because the selection of competitive maps was so small.

It was always my dream that when Halo came to PC we would see amazing content like this released by the community that had nice colourful textures, sounds and animations. It's a shame the population is so low, so many will never get to experience these awesome maps.

I'm going to be honest with you, Beaver Creek in Halo 2 isn't very good compared to the one in Halo CE. Specially with how BS the Plasma Pistol is in that game.

I only liked it when the community outside of matchmaking used to replace all dual-weilding weapons with the shotgun.

@Super Colonel Sarge yes the plan is to do the hardcore maps as that's personally what I'm mostly invested in. So the last hardcore map is beaver creek. But I have thought about doing the rest of the h2 maps, probably starting with Gemini

@Freya so, with every MCC update, or mod tools update. sometimes the workshop mods will become outdated due to 343 updating the structure of the halo 3 tags. so once that happens. I have to recompile the map and re-upload it or it wont work at all.

10/10 gorgeous map with no issues. Only gripe is that the sky would be more beautiful with a halo ring instead of the ark wing, but I won't dock points because that would just be the cherry on top of this already gorgeous piece of art. Also bonus points for monke

@minty seals not really a kitbash just UV mapping the sandbox textures onto the new geometry.

I'm really interested in how you "kit bashed" the textures almost seemingly straight from the forge set pieces in sandbox... please could you tell me about your process?

@rednekgamurz it's called drop-spawn. I originally made this map with Halo 3 MLG settings in mind so the sniper spawns with this system.

If you do not grab the sniper in set amount of time the sniper will despawn until it's next spawn.

Sort of like when you die, after long enough your weapon disappears to save resources. The same happens with the sniper. It falls from it's spawn height and stays rested on the pillar long enough until it's despawned. If you wait long enough it will respawn again.

Incredible remake, though I found a potential problem when walking around the map by myself. The sniper was at red base, but the one at blue base was missing. I tried looking around for it to see if it just fell down or something, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

I'm very impressed with the spatial accuracy, scale looks 1:1. I like the way you used the inscriptions texture in the tunnels. The aqueducts look really nice. Great job mate. I have just two suggestions:

1. An original loading screen/map overview would be cool.
2. More foliage, particularly on the side without water. I appreciate your restraint and that you don't want to clutter but I think it's a little 'too' restrained/sparse. Would be nice if a bunch of the flat earth areas on the map overall had tall grass, dark brown mud around the bodies of water with some lillypads maybe, tree roots and plants clogging up the aqueducts on the side without water etc.
