Yes! Of course it does. I didn't change anything to make it not work for 1.5
0w0 Jul 13 @ 11:25am
does this still work with 1.5?
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] Jul 13 @ 11:04am
You can thank or award the original creator, I haven't done anything special to the mod other than add a few words to a file to make it error free or to show as incompatible.
My only job is to test the mods, either in dev mode or in my own world with the risks of some random error popping at some point.
As for the pawn, a minute of silence to show some respect.
Kraffest Jul 13 @ 10:41am
Thank you for your sacrifice pawn (and all your hard work modder)
Zairya Jul 13 @ 9:15am
finally \o/

Let's see how many mousekin miscarry because of food poisoning and malnitrition now... I swear, there was food. they are just to slow to reach it.

RIP poor pawn
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] Jul 13 @ 6:54am
A pawn had to suffer for this but the mod is now fully tested and updated for 1.6
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] Jul 13 @ 5:28am
Right now I'm updating one of my own mods, after that I will check this one out and if everything works fine I will just slap the 1.6 on it and update it.
Kraffest Jul 12 @ 10:54am
I hope you're able to update this mod :) This is a must in all of my playthroughs, thank you for your work
Kokorocodon Jul 11 @ 8:14pm
update?
sebo2203 Jul 2 @ 7:27am
@The Bard Of Hearts thats why I use this mod with combination of Thirst from the mod (Dubs Bad Hygiene). For me personally it seems way too difficult to have a pawn die of thirst in 2 days and also possibly die of starvation in 2 days. This mod makes it little bit more logical.
sebo2203 Jul 1 @ 1:08am
@GodlyAnnihilator 1.6? Please? Or it works fine?
The Bard of Hearts Feb 10 @ 9:51pm
@GodlyAnnihilator
Yeah, but a 3 months in the game only takes 15 days... a year is 60 days. I don't think anyone can survive for half a year without food. As for water, water isn't really represented, you could be playing in the desert with no water at all. Personally, i've always seen it as the pawns get whatever moisture is needed from their "meals" and "nutrient paste". Without it, that timer gets significantly shorter, especially if you consider the first point at all.

Great mod! +1

It takes a more realistic take, think of it like this. If you start to get hungry and let it go like that for a day, you are not going to starve to death, you need way more time than that to even come close to starvation. Info tells that a person can go without food for a week, if the person has water, that can go on for 2-3 months until starvation, just with water. So you can understand that this mod takes that approach.
Deankiller Turnupseed Jan 24 @ 11:17pm
dunno why but seems like my colonists just couldnt starve anymore
Birdinmotion Dec 20, 2024 @ 6:50pm
I know every dev hates suggestions (Bill Nye voice) BUT CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:

severe malnutrition has possibility of causing lasting effects, mental or hediff. especially in children.
The Bard of Hearts Sep 20, 2024 @ 12:02am
Hello. Firstly, thanks for all the mod work. I really like the idea behind this mod. Secondly, would it be at all possible to add an option or slider bar for just how long it takes to die of malnutrition? I like the effects and such, but it really almost feels too long. I seem to have had a raider with both legs blown off that has been starving for about a 1/4 of a year now.

Your description says its x3 the duration. Maybe x2 would be closer (in my opinion)?

If not, no worries. Again, thanks for being a code-monkey. (I used to been in an age long gone) Game on! :megamanjump:

Hello, i was playing with "Diseases Overhauled [Adopted]", and found out that it is conflicting with this mod, because too changing malnutrition hediff. Is it possible to make it compatible without deleting xml from another mod? Load order doing nothing
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] Apr 14, 2024 @ 9:21pm
Thank you for the kind words!
Despite doing the least I could do as my programmings skills are very limited, I find joy in that as some people like you appreciate it!

Have fun Michiko!

Thank you for the update! I was waiting for this!
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] Apr 13, 2024 @ 5:33am
Updated to 1.5!
No changes were needed, as the mod was working perfectly!
GravGunner Apr 8, 2024 @ 4:14pm
Thank you :)
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] Apr 8, 2024 @ 8:19am
When I have time I will check compatibility issues. But as long as 1.5 doesn't have any changes hunger wise, this mod will work as intended.
GravGunner Apr 8, 2024 @ 6:48am
Will this be udated to 1.5 or is it obsolete? :)
Enlonwhite Dec 16, 2023 @ 2:35am
Still thank you for the mod. I really enjoy what this mod offers.

I suspect it was a mixture of things but the FLU infection really did just jump sky high on that pawn (i had been slightly micro managing them to keep healthy). Been cruising the mods I have to see if any either affected it or made flu more deadly.
When I saw this sudden jump, I had a slight delay in cooking foods, and some pawns didnt end up eating on time. Early game was no very pleasant to me. lost 2 to the flu, nearly the grandma to it too it, saved at 99% infection and getting immunity just as it hit that.
Enlonwhite Dec 16, 2023 @ 2:30am
Wait is this what caused a Flu infected Pawn to jump 20% infection in just 9 Rim hours?
A: First thing my Medical doctor kept not tending them on Time (not an error just annoyance)
B:Pawns kept dropping to 0% food due to travel times/food seemed to be falling faster than normal especially for the breast feeding one, (she did not die to the flu)

But yeah I saw a pawn at 68% Immunity and 65% infection. They went out riding a animal (thanks giddy up) and did two things out in the map, came back late (middle of the night, and didnt get tended by the doctor til morning I found when checking up where the doctor was.
thats when I noticed the malnutrion Trivial and the infection amount was up to 85% while immunity was only at 73%.....she was going to be my Social master pawn....she died. (Early game)

Alright, well thanks for checking. I have 250+ mods of which some are from loverslab and I am also running on 1.3 so doing tests would take a while but this mod came to my mind as the first possibly issue.
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] Apr 28, 2023 @ 12:32pm
From a quick search I did on the Hediffs I didn't find anything healing related, I've been playing with this mod for long time now, but never saw healing as bad as you say, maybe some other mod? Or do you by any chance play with Biotech Clans that have specifically slow healing?
In the Hediffs there are Blood Filtration/Consciousness/Pain Shock Threshold and rest Fall Factor changes depending on the hunger level. There are some other work type factors such as slower researching speed or slower mining speed, but healing? no, didn't find anything related to that. Maybe some kind of bug from mod conflict?
⭕⃤ ‎ lMP0SSiBRUH Apr 27, 2023 @ 1:54pm
I know you didn't make the original but maybe you can figure this out.

Could it be that this mod also delays the healing time of all other hediff's? I am asking because I noticed my pawns heal awfully slow, like.. Ultra slow! -_-"
Robo Mar 2, 2023 @ 8:48pm
Had a Kenshi moment where my solo colonist was downed from a catatonic state. A wanderer joined a day later while my solo colonist was slipping away, and now they're husband and wife. Amazing stuff!
YunoAloe Dec 25, 2022 @ 3:33pm
Any idea how I could simply make vanilla malnutrition progress (and regress) slower instead?
Harry_Robinson1 Dec 11, 2022 @ 2:35am
This is really cool in practise and I might actually take advantage of this
Remi麦岱 Dec 8, 2022 @ 9:27am
Thanks for this, didn't know I needed it for my 300 plus mods lmao
Inquisition Dec 7, 2022 @ 8:03pm
Thanks for this!
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] Dec 6, 2022 @ 10:20am
I don't think such a mod will do anything on fps, unfortunately I play with 200+ mods so late game I obviously have fps problems, but I don't think it's this one causing the drops xD..
Andraus Dec 6, 2022 @ 9:26am
any impact on performance? loved the idea!
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] Dec 6, 2022 @ 4:44am
Happy to help!
CheeseWheelGuy Dec 6, 2022 @ 4:21am
funny how they made extreme starvation give a huge mood debuff but also made pawns fall unconscious when it happens, making it not affect them. maybe now they'll hate their lives for a little while before slipping into the great beyond. great mod, thanks for updating homie.
Kokorocodon Dec 6, 2022 @ 3:28am
Imagine not dying instantly just because your lhama ate your oranges sooner than you.
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] Dec 5, 2022 @ 11:24pm
I believe this will help tons people like us that want to survive on ice sheets...
Truly a life saver...
ProfZelonka Dec 5, 2022 @ 4:56pm
Thanks man. Foods overrated, hopefully now this makes the game more focused on things other than keeping the colonists fed at all times
Azarashi (Esp) Dec 5, 2022 @ 12:32pm
thanks :steamhappy:
