well so far i haven't needed to go that far yet, thanks for the answer man, and for this awesome tool.

I don't think there's any limitations in regards to bone position (bone scale is limited to 18, though), but i had to select a maximum value for the sliders, and I reckoned 128 was reasonably high.

while i was doing some posing, i noticed that the slider value is locked at 128.0 and manually adding higher values doesn't change the bone any further. is this intentional or a limitation?

its prob is some weird error none sense

all though a friend of mine did have the same issue with the tool a few days ago and he said that his gmod didnt say it had any confliting errors i know my gmod is not showing any addon conflictions

The game hasn't received an update since July, so it probably has something to do with your addons.

its broken

i went and turnes it into a animated prop and it did show everything but the options for the bones were not showing up saying that the selected ragdoll had no bones

my guess is some kind of garrys mod update has messed with some kind of function with it

hoping it gets fixed soon

The collision is not deleted. it still collides wherever the collision mesh has been moved to in these screenshots.
But i have been told from someone else in the meantime that bone posing addons do not allow translations on models with collisionjoints. So i suppose gmod itself is doing this wonky stuff. :/

The tool was primarily designed to move bones without any collision meshes attached to them. Aren't those collision meshes removed after you left-click on the model?

It appears as if this addon is the only one i could find that can move bones, but at the same time it dislocates the collisionmesh from the model, so you can't actually use it anymore, as seen here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3349288818

Any idea why this may happen? It's using collisionjoints.

How do I reset the ragdoll back into being a ragdoll after left-clicking it with this tool? Is it even possible? If not, can this feature be added?

The tool should be able to move any bone that doesn't have physics attached. In that case, Left-Clicking should do the trick. However, if that doesn't work, I suppose we can surmise it's due to an addon conflict.

Could there be conflicting addons or ragdolls that this tool dislikes? Sometimes it does not seem to move the bones or rotate them at all...

Could that be that after the text of the slider is deleted, the number is interpreted as 0? Or invalid text values are interpreted incorrectly (empty text, "-", "a-", " ", etc)?

The update works but there is a weird, but hilarious, glitch when you type in the scale on the z axis in which the positions of the child bones become way off. It does instantly fix itself when you use the slider though.

I guess what he means is to move scaled children bones, for example when hand is scaled, fingers would also move to accomodate the new hand scale, if that makes sense. I did happen to put such a feature into wip ragdoll mover, in case if you'd like I guess I could help with implementing such feature? Bone movement XYZ in ManipulateBone stuff are also based on their parent bone's orientation, so at least there won't be much need for translating between coordinate systems

As long as the checkbox is enabled, the child bones should automatically get the same scale value upon changing the parent bone scale.

Idk if I'm doing something wrong but how do I make it so that the child bones in a model's face move while the head is being scaled so I dont have to painstakingly try to manually move each bone to the proper position?

I am wondering if there can be an update for when you use the tool that it displays all the bones automatically in the bone list? Reason I ask because sometimes I click the wrong button and then I have to open the entire list again, one by one...

Love that this is useful for poses and comics/screenshots,
for some reason though the fonts on all the text in the heirarchy menu are white...
on a white/bright background.
Can highlight each line to see what they are, but it makes it really hard to read.
Can see from the screenshots here though that the font isn't supposed to be bright so I'm assuming it's clientside.

Tested and it does more than just what it says, which is great.
It's also a ragdoll mover in every way.

Only two complaints I have is that it seem unable to revert a prop back into a ragdoll which is the function that belongs on the left click and, unlike the ragdoll mover, it does not provide a way to scale the sizes of its function, which is a pain on props with a lot of bones in the way.

Also, what does the "drive" function do by the way (it's on the right click's menu when you aim with C)?

How to select a bone with the Tool Gun? It does not work for me, only through the Q menu it works. And also change the names of the limbs so it's clear wich bone I'm setting up

It didn't lack any substantial feature, plus it updated face flexes right from the context menu without needing to have the tool gun out which was honestly why I always used it over the vanilla face poser.

Why would I do that? If I recall correctly, it had even less features than the vanilla faceposer. The bone tool was the only tool that added something new to the game. I just needed the others to make the old addon work.
