No worries, thanks for the update!

@Kimo'
It was actually. I just forgot to upload it.

Hey Mattis, just wondering, is there a reason this mod wasn't updated to 1.6? Is the feature included in one of your other mods? Because this little mod of yours was pretty useful ^^
WirgoCraft Jun 29 @ 4:54am
Seems to work in 1.6 without problems.
Ozymandias Jun 23 @ 11:18am
can you please update to 1.6?
Alex_ May 24 @ 5:58am
@ilyvion is absolutely totally right.
Ossey Ocelot Apr 22 @ 6:57pm

very good mod
ilyvion May 5, 2024 @ 8:22am
It was a bit difficult to find the settings for this mod among my several hundred mods, given that it's called "Faster Genes Regrowing" in the mod settings list, which is not what the mod is called elsewhere.

@ren
I agree a year or two is way too long. 3O sounds reasonable to me.
Ren Apr 5, 2024 @ 7:41pm
@Sera Yeah, that's 10 days, but 30-45 days would have been far better
Sera Feb 25, 2024 @ 1:12am
@Sumatris
honestly it's for balance. Imagine if it's 10 days as a base. that's 5 cycles of infection. so in 50 days you have 32 unkillable hyper healing powerful super pawn. Don't get me wrong I'm about to install this mod but ya it's really broken if too fast.
Sumatris Feb 18, 2024 @ 9:04am
Thank you for this mod. Don't know what Tynan was thinking when he chose that time frame. In two years a human regenerates most of the regrowable cells in their body; some parts even multiple times. There's no justification for such a long wait period in-game.
Jackledead Jan 15, 2024 @ 11:22pm
@Dust maybe in xml extensions mod settings? many mods need that mod to show settings
Dust Jan 15, 2024 @ 10:45pm
Where do the settings show up? Looking under mod settings, but not seeing an option for Adjustable Genes.
Yoann Dec 11, 2023 @ 10:55am
+1 for distinction with sanguophage please
Baccalon Oct 18, 2023 @ 12:49am
Thanks! that's quite a neat mod, expecially in my generations playthough
Yinyang107 Oct 8, 2023 @ 8:46am
Remind me, a Rim year is 60 days, so the vanilla behavior is 120 days, correct?
RedMattis  [author] Aug 14, 2023 @ 1:15am
@NouH
I used to actually, but I think the description in the settings menu was confusing people.

I guess I could revisit it, but I'd have to figure out how to summarize the settings menu so it isn't incomprehensible to non-programmers. :D
NouH Aug 13, 2023 @ 3:55pm
I did it with dev mode thanks. Would it be possible to have this mod distinguish between gene implant from the gene grower thingy (Where you craft your own genes), and sanguophage genes?

Right now it applies to both, so you can reapply sanguophage genes in the exact same amount of time.
RedMattis  [author] Aug 13, 2023 @ 12:44am
@NouH
The duration is changed when the health condition is applied, so it won't do anything if a character already has it from before the mod was installed.

You can however enable dev-mode. Click the god-mode head in the middle top, and then just remove the health condition that way.
NouH Aug 12, 2023 @ 9:56pm
Will this work on colonists that already had the health condition before adding this mod?
Kusko25 Jan 22, 2023 @ 3:54pm
@Auster, thanks that saved me searching through a way too long modlist
Auster Jan 20, 2023 @ 6:06am
@RedMattis Thanks for the mod. I was trying to find it using Rimpy, however I could not find it. I looked at the About xml and it says Faster Genes Regrowing not Adjustable Genes Regrowing Time. Just thought I should point that out.
Baka Mitai Jan 5, 2023 @ 9:16am
@RedMattis It works now! Thanks
RedMattis  [author] Jan 5, 2023 @ 4:55am
@Baka Mitai

I pushed a small update just now which changed where it runs the fix. It should catch both when the Hediff is applied normally and when there is an override now as long as it isn't another mod overriding my change.

Give it another try. :)
Baka Mitai Jan 4, 2023 @ 5:22pm
Hmm, I changed it to 3 days in the mod settings, but it still seems to be at 10 days when a pawn gets extracted. What could I have done wrong?
Jake Armitage Dec 30, 2022 @ 12:57pm
Thanks for the mod, this annoyed me as well! I love the Rimworld modding community: if you find something that annoys you, someone has almost always already made a mod that changes it.
RedMattis  [author] Dec 14, 2022 @ 9:29am
I actually added some settings to the latest version. I don't think the override for when extracting genes (shorter cooldown) was doing anything, but I believe the other one worked as intended.
Dam Dec 14, 2022 @ 7:53am
Exact same comment as @Aemi Daniels :)

Thank you for the mod.
Wargamer Dec 10, 2022 @ 1:49pm
@redmattis bet thanks mate!
Aemi Daniels Dec 8, 2022 @ 11:29pm
id love the ability to customize the time as well but im grabbing this now cuz the current time is insane lol
RedMattis  [author] Dec 8, 2022 @ 1:31pm
@Wargamer

Makes sense. If I get enough requests for it I'll look into giving the mod a config window so you can pick the length and such.

I haven't really looked into how to setup the config UI for a mod, but if enough people think the time is too short/too long I can certainly look at it.
Wargamer Dec 3, 2022 @ 9:01pm
please make it so you can put a custom amount of time you can wait :D
