The mod substitutes a .txt file that describes the iberian flags and the positioning of the flags´ assets.
To those who have a problem, did you run this mod with other mods or as a standalone?
For role-play reasons I justify this monarchist flag change as a change in the decadent tendency of Spain and Portugal. If Iberia forms this means that the decandent tendency has changed and a change towards 16th century national symbols when these two nations were greater makes sense to me instead of the red-yellow flag that was used during a general decadent period, unrest and civil wars.
Furthermore, these symbols dominated the Americas as well as other territories and the flag change tries to legitimize and represent a claim to claim back those territories if the player pleases so (role-play reasons).
The burgundy cross was still used by some army regiments back then and is still used today so it isn't that outdated.
