It's relatively minor so no worries, but during the opening scene during the "Pillar of Autumn" mission, the scripted warthog that drives into the area where Johnson gives his speech 'brushes' a marine slightly, but not enough to kill him, just leave a blood splatter and pained moan from said marine that got 'grazed' by the warthog.

Especially when I accidentally walk into the path of a plasma grenade that was KOBE'D from grunt 50 yards out, only to be set back 30 minutes after kicking ass with my fire breathing shotgun that I found from checking every nook and cranny of the map. All in all this is a great mod even more so if you love to explore these maps completely for those dopamine filled secrets. Hats off to you guys for the hard work and love y'all put into this for everyone here to experience! Also I played on Heroic difficulty in case anyone is curious.

Just got done with this amazing mod, the only critique I have is some of the checkpoints in certain levels i.e Two Betrayals and 343 Guilty Spark can set you back 20-30 minutes of game play. I don't know about anyone else but one my favorites things about these Halo CE campaign mods are the unique Easter eggs, encounters, hidden weapons, etc that the devs add into them. That of which this team made oh so enjoyable to find and interact with! Reading the other comments i can see I'm not the only one and this issue is by no means a deal breaker, but instead just a cause of minor frustration.

Great mod so far, been enjoying the content thoroughly. The only thing that needs fine tuning are the checkpoints. You can go a long time, through many combat encounters and checkpoint can set you back 15+ minutes. Otherwise, great mod

(Part 3/3)

On both TaR and AoTCR, i had long sections of the levels where not a single checkpoint was granted, on AoTCR this happened during the vehicle section of the level.

Form the point at which you first exit into the first large canyon with the scorpion in it, all the way to the interior section at the end, the game didn't give me a single checkpoint, only for me to get randomly stuck by a grunt and have the game reload ALL THE WAY BACK to before exiting into the canyon with the scorpion.
I lost over an hour and 20 minutes of gameplay due to this.

This mod is in serious need of bug testing and QA fixes, until that happens I cannot recommend the mod to anyone to download, especially not if you intend to play on anything harder then normal difficulty.

This became most noticeable in the first hunter encounter on AoTCR, as the instant i opened the door to the room, all of the elites and one of the hunters rushed me, and trapped me in the corridor, making me unable to leave.
The Hunter was so aggressive it followed me back into the previous area before getting stuck in the transition point in the hallway, and subsequently bugged out and killing himself with his own cannon, due to his arm clipping into the wall.

Another problem, which personally has been the final straw for me with this mod, is the complete lack of checkpoints for massive swaths of levels.

The more i play this mod the more issues i find: (part 1/3)

On TaR in addition to the before mentioned issues, i was also experiencing rampant crashing whenever transitioning to a new area of the map, or whenever the game would attempt to save a checkpoint, i crashed no less then 6 times in this level because of it.

The issues with enemy detection continues on to AoTCR, it is literally impossible to stealth through sections with sleeping grunts as the instant you kill one, others will wake up and start combat with you, alerting the entire area.

Another issues I've seen is that enemies have an extreme level of aggression, as soon as you enter into a combat encounter, so long as they can find a path to you, all of the enemies in the area will rush forward and engage in combat

Your changes to the game break the scripted sequences in truth and reconciliation to where now it is no longer possible to stealth the initial sections of the level.

Enemies will see you immediately and instantly go on alert as soon as you fire your weapon or they detect you killing one of their allies.
Also the marines do not properly wait for you to head on ahead and attempt to clear the area before they engage in combat.

in the transition to the second area (where cortana says "stop, enemy detected up ahead") the odst rush forward and immediately begin firing at the turret and enemy's positioned nearby, essential trapping you into a choke point until you take them out.

Please do a once over of this mission and make sure all of the levels scripting and encounter orders are working properly.

I don't usually comment on mods, and especially not like a review, BUT this was honestly my fav campaign mod in the entire workshop. This mod is PEAK halo CE, It was such a good challenge especially with the anger skull boosting enemies shooting speed, felt realistic since covenant had fuel rods and spec ops in more levels than just the last ones and way more grunts ranks threw grenades, this is def my go to Halo CE replay mod. A lot of encounters changed (most for the better) and just overall really fun mod, felt like an Upgrade to CE rather than an overhaul. 10/10 would Combat Revolve again.

Honestly, after playing this on Legendary i see no reason to go back to the original HCE campaign, which i already loved, but you guys made it so much better, more fun, harder but at the same time even more fair in some areas.

10/10, i dont know if you plan on doing something similar with other Halo games, but i wish you did.

All AI enemies are unnecessarily aggressive, exceedingly tanky, hard-hitting and generally make the game just annoying to play through as changing the difficulty does nothing but make you wish you never installed the mod to begin with, and the manual healing is actually detrimental because of how aggressive and accurate the new AI is. Balancing needs serious re-adjustments.

ABOUT THIS MOD 2/2 - SPOILERS ALSO: What is problem for me, that you need to use so much covenant guns because flood has shield and your guns are weak into shields. Also you dont see bullets for shotgun (especially in library). Also when flood attacks you with shotgun, there is no ammo in that, so thats suck. Everyone has a lots of duralibity, so you waste a lots of ammo, they are also faster, so needler is weak vs Elites for example. Game is hard even for heroic(I finished HALO CE on Legendary without death). So sometimes I was bored because of ammo.

BUT OVERALL I NEED TO GIVE TO THIS MOD 5/5. Amazing work and thanks for a special feelings.

ABOUT THIS MOD 1/2 - SPOILERS ALSO: Great work about visual, no bugs(only with heal sometimes in hard fights you need to take a heal, but you take a gun). Things around are also insane like frozen flood(if you shoot it, it gives you ammo). Game crashed only once in last mission in warthog(and after restart I was unkilleble). Great new guns(designer probably plays csgo, the noir elite weapon is insane, really enjoyed that, sadly that gun is hidden and you need to find it). Easter egg with sleeping grunt also gucci. Guns and graphic are really good. In credit you see also Linda, so thats great.

AI of enemies and allies is also really good, they are agressive when you are low on hp, pressure you hard and dont give you that much time to react. What is also fine and its not in lore, that sentiels are with covenent, because of sides wants to save a ring. Be with grunts and jackals in 343 guilty spark also feels special. Same with Library.

The comment below this screams skill issue. While I have my problems with CR's balance, my issues are focused on this mod's Legendary difficulty. Playing through on Heroic felt just fine, and that's the difficulty I'd recommend everyone play this mod on to have the most fulfilling experience.

I do wish this mod could be tweaked to make Legendary more fair though. That would really bring out this mod's full potential in my opinion.

Also on Assault on the Control room, the tank sucks because when the wrath hits you, the tank lifts up and flips over and takes damage and can be destroyed now and so can the warthog which sucked because I now spent the entire chapter W A L K I N G............ I used the plasma rocket launcher thing and a sniper rifle to cheese my way through picking off everything and YES HAD TO CHEAT USING INFINITE AMMO cause I almost raged quit in this chapter, this mod as I already said is "nice"....visually...but the gameplay is trying to replicate SPV3 and you can't deny that, it's obnoxiously hard even for noobs on easy...like me... bu-bu-but...I do play Halo on Normal..except for Halo 2...but anyways, Please please p l e a s e.....PLEASE!!!! Fix the balance on every difficulty!! I don't want to have to unsubscribe from this mod! I still like it..but not enough to complete it and replay it if its gonna fuck me up in every direction!

this mod is way too fucking hard even on easy, it's like spv3 hard, shields are weaker and I raged quit on the library. Its a nice mod visually and the new mechanics and features are nice, but the difficulty dynamic is what ruined it for me, I like a challenge and I usually play Halo on normal and I did on this mod for the majority up to Guilty spark but had to replay that mission on easy as the flood are now more annoying to fight now and as soon as I got to the Library I see that the flood have over shields and are bullet sponges and the fact you're even weaker than the vanilla game. your shields drop so fast like Joe Biden climbing stairs.

Just got finished with a Heroic play through, and found it to be absolutely wonderful. Maybe I've played too much Halo on legendary, but I thought the difficulty on Heroic was quite good. Few specific spots that I found some trouble on, but nothing that I couldn't get past. Love the details added to the levels that enhance the world building like broken vehicles, marine holdouts in later levels, and not to spoil anything... your "allies" in 343 and the Library. This mod actually made me like the Library! It turned into one of my favorite levels in this mod! The upgrades to marines, them following you a lot better in the first half of the game is really fun. If you're good about keeping them alive, they'll be your little army. Later levels starve you of ammo, but I actually appreciated it. Frantically juggling weapons in the second half was a really nerve wracking experience. UNSC weapons can be used out to ridiculous distances, especially tap firing the AR.

Just checked out this mod for the first time in a long while. The BSP changes in PoA are quite cool. I love that you added the other cryo room from The Maw into PoA, but it would be nice to also have an optional combat encounter in there if you feel like adding one, as it would be a shame to leave it empty the way it is now when that room has the potential to be an interesting Covenant combat arena.

It'd be a great mod with better balancing and less stingy checkpoints. Playing on Normal difficulty is like playing on Heroic or even Legendary in this mod. Tons of higher ranked enemies alongside higher enemy counts. Despite the "increased" shields and health, it's simply not enough to deal with being bombarded by 30 enemies in areas that normally only had 5-10 at most. And the checkpoint system in this mod is broken, sometimes sending me back to the start of the mission after 5 minutes of playing. If this was intentional to make it harder, it sucks massively and ultimately makes me NOT want to keep playing. Stingy checkpoints suck. And judging by other comments, the Flood is made even more annoying than they already were with constant respawning. I want to love this mod for all it does good, but it's simply way too unbalanced to recommend to anybody but the best and most hardcore of Halo players. Avoid til it's fixed.

Flood combat form resurrect themselves more frequently. The Library is already a PITA in CE, never mind on Legendary. Segments waiting for Guilty Spark becomes a circus of evasion: killing flood combat forms means more will spawn, but also ones you just killed will soon rise again. The result is a crapfest of 12+ flood combat forms chasing after you. You can BS those segments by not fighting, which shouldn't be the case; mods should IMPROVE gameplay.

Weapon changes are gimmicks. The assault rifle, the best killing machine against groups of enemies in CE, becomes useless from its TTK against shielded foes. Shotguns are bugged too: enemies carrying one will drop it at half ammo with no reserves. A shotgun in your inventory also won't replenish its ammo from it. The magnum is useless against flood, made worse by getting easily swarmed. No point to carrying UNSC weaponry, since plasma weapons outperform them. The takeaway here isn't to nerf plasma weapons to compensate.

4.5/10 at best.

Was this inspired by the Halo Novels at all? I just read through novel 1 and 2 and I'm going into 3 and your mod sounds more similar to the novelization of Halo CE than the original game. Any chance of a Halo 2 revolved? or is has that already happened? It would be great to see some mods in the future that follow the novels

Man I downloaded this thinking it'd be one of *those* enhancement mods, but was really pleasantly surprised. The combat flow and AI really make the gameplay really dynamic and fun. The whole thing also really feels like CE through and through instead of just trying to turn it into later Halo titles.

I really enjoyed this, especially the visual take on 343 Guilty Spark and Two Betrayals. My only real complaint, really, is more bug related, and I don't know if this is a vanilla issue or not (though I don't remember it being one)--sometimes music will loop endlessly, bleeding into cutscenes and playing in tandem with that cutscene's music. Namely, the ambient string track that plays throughout The Maw continued through the ending cutscene, which wasn't super pleasant to hear playing at the same time as the normally somber and ethereal track that is supposed to play. In any case, great job!

Just beat the campaign with Revolved and it was pretty damn good although there are some questionable balancing and music choices... But seeing Fireteam Raven show up on the same spots as they do in the Arcade was a highlight
