This mod is fantastic!
-Marines on higher difficulties can actually survive fight and kick some real ass as well
-The enemy variety alone is amazing, was blown away seeing how diverse Pillar of Autumn alone was
-All guns in the game still feel really nice to use, AR, while already decent in CE, felt even better, especially if you can burst fire properly, and the Needler isn't a joke either
-Finding some of the easter egg weapons was really cool, Brute Plasma rifle on Truth and Reconciliation shreds

assault rifle is too easy to use, it outshines most weapons. I think CE did the balancing better for it

Update: We have confirmed the water pistol was not at all contributing to the problem, fire bad water good :P

Update:
We tried testing a few weapons on the next mission 343 guilty spark, and found that the Dupon's Dragons breath shotgun's fire effect seemed to be the cause, we tried killing one player over and over in a room where the bug happened, and in every instance where we used the dragons breath shotgun, the teammate in combat error happened.

We also noticed that if you shoot the flood growths in the room, the same effect happens, so it seems to be tied with the fire damage over time effect on the shotgun, it even seems to persist after the flames have gone out.

IT didn't trigger, when we just shot the wall a few times either.

My friend and I have encountered a pretty severe bug, playing multiplayer on the level: Assault on the control room, a player is unable to respawn on the other due to them 'being in combat' even when there are no enemies present. We tried restarting the level, and right at the first room where the grunt sniffs the air, we are able to respawn on each-other, its in the next room that it starts, and it persists through the level.

We aren't sure, but we think it might be related to the water pistol easter egg, as we used it to fling aliens, off the bridge in the next section. Respawns in the tank section are very sparse, as checkpoints are spaced out, and this made the level, an unconventional, iron skull.

We also noticed, that if a player got a checkpoint, after one of the players was dead, and waiting to respawn, the player stayed dead on reload, and could no longer play the level at all.
