I love this mod but I have to admit that it is quite badly optimised, it takes up 5 gb of ram (with the DDS conversion already applied).

(RimPy and their texture optimization tool has saved me personally)

@Ice Cream Butt since the 14th my pack has only gone up in mods lmao, I doubt it is under 8 now and am unsure I could nail all of what I had around 500. Every mod will have a different amount of usage especially if it's adding a lot of new things, though this HD retexture's weight comes from the textures being too high a resolution for the game.

This bumps up my RAM usage to almost max, my modpack of 500 is under 8GB usage without it. Something is definitely wrong.

Goddamn, this mod alone is heavier than the rest of my modlist combined (207 mods).

Massive memory leak, which makes game load 3-4 times longer than usual, and ends up crashing anyway. Please fix.

actually, silly question, is there an alternative location for downloading this? id like to roll back to a previous version to test it with other mods

The same here, using this mod has spiked ram usage from rimworld to go from about 4-gb upwards of 14gb, thats a hell of a leak

while it is great, this mod uses waaay to much memory, acording to graphics settings+ it is using 4gb of my ram while the second most consuming mod is using 300mb.
