It is a good reminder for me though to add a disclaimer on the page to warn of big file size.
Go to your server folder, open steamcmd folder, open steamcmd.exe and let it update. close it and copy these files from steamcmd to your Zomboid server folder and replace them.

steamclient64.dll

: Copied this over from Tryhonesty'sTiles Steam mod page and seemed to have worked for me. Give it a try might also help somebody in here. Specifically if your mods refuse to update when starting your server:
i think the timing of it all is just a coincidence
All I know is that there was an issue with server hosters and steam updates in general.
Have a good day!
Thanks a lot for your explanation! I actually did know about the separate branches for 41 and 42 inside one mod, but the issue I’ve noticed is that—even when nothing is changed in the B41 branch, and only B42 is updated—the mod on Workshop still requires an update for both versions.
I think it’s some internal Workshop mechanic: when the mod’s update date changes, Steam pushes the update for everyone, regardless of which branch was modified.
That’s why I originally thought about splitting it into two separate mods (one for 41, one for 42)—so that B41 servers wouldn’t need to update at all unless there were real changes for them.
But I get your point and it makes sense the way you have it set up!
Another small benefit would be the overall size of the mod, but that’s really just a cosmetic detail.
Anyway, thanks again for clarifying things, and good luck with all future updates!
In this case I intentionally changed files for both versions, first updating to B42 and then while after 6 months of no updates, I wanted to update some files of B41 too, but that didn't work out so well and I now know which files where wrong.
So when I make changes to B42 files in future, it will not interfer with B41 files of that same mod. This is how TIS set up the mod structure. Hope that clears something up.
Thanks for the kind words, too!
Unfortunately this mod after latest update has stopped my primary supercraft.host server from restarting. Primary server still hanging 24hr later, 'Configuration change in progress'.
I raised a support ticket with supercraft to forcefully shutdown, however I may be required to wipe/start again.
On a second server, I removed this mod and it restarted successfully. After manually re-loading this mod isolation of others, secondary server has come back online.
I recommend you stop/kill server (don't restart) to avoid 'Configuration change in progress'. Remove this mod , restart, then manually re-load in isolation of others.
Any preventive action to mitigate future impact would be greatly appreciated.
I do have a suggestion though, and maybe it would help not only server owners/players, but possibly you as well:
Would it be possible to keep two separate versions of your mod—one for Build 41 and one for Build 42?
That way, servers still running on 41 could stick with the older version, and anyone who wants to use Build 42 can switch to the updated one when it’s ready.
Maybe that would actually make things a bit easier for you too, since you wouldn’t have to worry about breaking support for one version every time you update the other.
Just a thought! Either way, thanks again for all your work—it’s really appreciated.
Our server is still experiencing issues with your tiles appearing black and no longer showing up in various tools (brush tools, build menu etc.)
Love your mod though!
