This is one of the three actually GOOD New Faction mods in the entire workshop. Love it.
Could you add the shield wall somewhere into the tech tree, perhaps in the Stalwart Defenders tech to represent them being the literal first line against Chaos? Also, is it possible to make Orgi a proper legendary hero with a skill tree, rather than just a unique single entity? Likewise, is it possible to add Kraka Drak units to the grudge settler pool?

had to go check but you're really overthinking it. CA just changed the animation for seemingly no particular reason, must have happened very recently.

and no, the catapults aren't coming back.
Btw, Frostdrakes have the wrong irondrake model. They have the trollhammer torpedo model instead of the regular open-ended irondrake. Probably a holdover from when they were called Rocksplitters (or troll splitters?) and fired the torpedos.

It was a mod incompatibility. Specifically - Norse Dwarfs: Wanderers of Karaz Ankor & Scourges Vanilla ADDON + Cataph's Kraka Drak Compatibility AIO VERSION.

It's probably because that mod has not been recently updated yet. I assume others who have this crash also use that ALL in One version.

I too keep crashing as Kraka Drak in custom battle.

My only guess is there's some kinda mod incompatibility. I use a few submods for your faction, one of them gives Kraka Drak their old region back and switches Malakai to another region. The other one adds Kraka's units to most vanilla dwarfen factions. I guess I'll need to disable some mods and see if it persists.

I played TW2 lotta years back and this was one of the mods I always had loaded for playing Dwarfs, steam put TW3 on sale for $20 so I got back into playing Warhammer and I have been collecting and testing bunch of unit mods.

The mod loader will give message most of time if unit mod wont work before starting the TW.exe
so its easy to spot mods that are problematic with unit table errors

So far this mod caused a CTD and seperate from that 'The Hung' faction mod caused a mid-battle CTD, outside of these I have had no problems running +50 unit mods and never getting a crash from any of them, the Devs seem to keep making game version updates and this breaks a bunch of mods that have start date lower than 2024 I have noticed, c'est la vie.

This mod crashed my game in custom battle, it was loading up lobby okay then CTD

My guess is that there is some unit or element in the mod that no longer works with current 6.3 version of game

Keep having crashes on certain battles due to units of this mod and it incredibly frustrating because I need to fight these battles so I can win them. I usually try to skip the prebattle phase of setting up my units and that usually resolves this problem but it seems to keep happening. Select a units of longbeard garrison troops crash, units of ROR of wardbearers crash. I only have this Crash to desktop when using this mod, it is the most common bug I experience in this mod.

Probably been requested before, but I've noticed Malakai doesn't survive very long with this active, about 10 turns max on average. Any chance you can switch his start enemy to one of the Norsca factions nearby him so he takes a settlement close and is less likely to get wiped early?

mod is fine. I just doublechecked and I can't verify a single recent bug report (the crash, the runesmith chain or the age of reckoning).

I can't speak for specific mod contexts but personally I recommend getting rid of Hellpit ASAP so that you can focus on the rest without worrying about undermining rats. Norsca and chaos you should be fine unless chorfs also join in from the east.

The Age of Reckoning is delayed for the first 20 turns . Is that intentional? Apologies if this is mentioned somewhere and I couldn't find it.

Any tips for campaign start? I'm at turn 50 and any attempt to fight my enemies north has been met with wave after wave of enemies so I just end up selling the land for some peace agreements. What directions do people usually expand to at the start?

game is crashing when I try to move a unit of storm-bringers in the pre-battle phase. Just clicking on them crashed the game. Also I noticed that when you upgrade the runesmith building (the one that lets you recruit storm and wardbearers) at higher tiers you lose the capability to recruit them. It may be a mod conflict but I am not sure.

as for the rest, no promises. Like I said, I have pretty much no interest in the new dwarf mechanics.

I've been having a blast playing the Kraka Drak campaign but as the prior commenter said Malakai's start was weird. It didn't look like he was at war with the Norscans so he sorta just stood there for a few turns. The deeps worked well with the playstyle but one of the buildings, the brew hall requires some technologies that obviously can't be researched. I would also love to know your stance on potentially allowing some normie dwarf units to be recruited once Malaki is confederated through his ship. Irondrake+Frostdrake armies have been so fun to play with.

Understandable Cataph. I’ve been playing KD for years and it worked much better but with settler units, it’s hard to RP northern dwarves when have OP units you can easily recruit with half the upkeep. Still enjoy the mod
I was really pissed when they replaced my bois with Malakai. Glad your mod, as it was a decade ago, did right to our northern fellas. Thanks for everything

I don't have plans to tweak frostdrakes at the moment. The whole grudge update pushed me away from playing dwarfs as a whole and most of those settler units are OP.

if you don't want to use Braves or unlock Orgi's Blades that's your choice.

as much as i love this mod. there is zero incentive to use the KD units early game because they are much more expensive than longbeards. you dont end up using the KD units until mid/late game. needs to have price balance.

Do you have any plans to eventually give some TLC to this mod? Such as updating the tech tree and adding in some of formations? or going over the age reckoning units?
