Version 0.1.2.0 - Updated mod description to indicate that this mod is no longer necessary, as "TMaterials - Glass" now patches Dubs Skylights itself (when using XML Extensions). I am leaving the mod up so saves wont break, and in case anyone cannot use XML Extensions for some reason, but you do not need to use this mod anymore.

What's the difference between this and the normal dubs patching from tmaterial

oops, just double checked. the Glassworks project is actually from Owlchemist's Windows which integrates Dubs Skylights but not TMaterials-Glass. my bad, but thank you for your attention.

@uermibus I am not seeing any "Glassworks" research project in either Dub's Skylights or the TMaterials mod. You must have some other mod that is adding that research (probably Glass+Lights, I believe that is the name of the research project from that mod).

does this merge the Glassworks and Glass research nodes? if not, could you please add it?

@brucethemoose I have added TMaterials - Glass to the loadAfter tag, please let me know if that fixes the error

@DisKorruptd I get what you mean now. I think that may be beyond the scope of this mod. I will look into if it is possible to do what you are asking. If I am able to make it work I will release it as a separate mod.

@Maaxar Actually I was having some XML errors until I moved this after TMaterials Glass: https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/635cdfecb930bb07716520f49d4a33d1#file-output_log-txt-L4183

well, that's why I was proposing "glassy" be a new form of stuff, changing the glass so that it's stuff type is glassy instead of metalic, a stuff type which could also potentially incorporate various gemstone materials, like the mods that add Rubies emeralds and sapphires, they're colored glass, but they're still glass

@DisKorruptd In the Dubs Skylights addon mod, when you select the 4x4 skylight, it uses the pop up menu to switch that item to the 4x5, 4x6, etc. That is the same pop up menu that would be used to choose "Glass Skylight", "Reinforced Glass Skylight", etc. Another issue is that the TMaterials mod has its Glass materials classified as "Metallic", so I am not sure how I would make the Skylights not be able to be built out of steel, uranium, etc.

I'm not sure how that would break it? my suggestion isn't to do with choosing the sizes or interacting with submenus? Stuff categories aren't to do with the architect menu, stuff categories are like "Stony" "Metallic" and "Wooden"

@brucethemoose It actually seems to patch it properly whether it is before or after TMaterials - Glass (I was surprised as well)

@DisKorruptd Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do that, and I think if I did, it would break the "Dubs Skylight Addpn" mod, since that mod is already using the Architect sub-menus to choose the skylight size.

Hear me out, would it be possible to make it use any "Glass" item? like, to make it just seek any material with that def name to fill the purpose? could even make "Glassy" a stuff category?

This should be marked to load after TMaterials Glass in the about xml.

wow love this !

@Revolus should be possible, let me take a look at the 1.3 version for the Tmaterials mod.
Revolus Oct 21, 2022 @ 2:58pm
Can you enable this for 1.3? It's only an XML patch, so it should be easily compatible, should it be?
