@Marsu sorry about that, that one was on me! The latest update caused the issue and Ulysses lost its textures. It should now be fixed and fully visible again.

not sure if its the update or me, but it was working before. Ulysses, is just a shadow now, I dont see any textures

I can't find the mod for fauna foraging normal? Is it a setting I need to enable in the mod options or is it a separate mod I need to add?

Hi! @FiyahKitteh In the mod description there’s a list of all the spawn zones and the foraging levels required for each animal.

If you want to make sure the mod is working correctly, I recommend launching the game in -debug mode, that way you’ll have admin commands and can try spawning one of the animals manually to confirm it’s loading properly.

Also, please make sure you’ve enabled Mod ID: FaunaForagingNormal
The other one (FaunaForagingRare) is meant for very rare spawn settings, so it’s easy to miss them during normal gameplay.

Quick question. WHERE do the animals spawn and how frequent? I haven't seen a single one, and I am trying to figure out of there is a compatibility issue, or if I am just not looking in the right places. =O

Hi @Samy FIGUEROA the Fauna mod adds animals as realistic props for RP (they are not NPCs, so they don’t move). You can butcher them for meat, lard, and leather, and use them for immersion.

You have 3 options:

Only RealisticKentuckyFaunaPropsForRP → animals appear as visible props on the map.

+ FaunaForagingNormal → animals can be found through foraging, normal frequency.

+ FaunaForagingRare → animals can be found through foraging, very rare frequency.

⚠️ Enable only one of the foraging options (Normal or Rare, never both).
City animals (cats, dogs) can be found with foraging in urban areas.
If you spawn an animal and it doesn’t move, that’s normal: it’s a prop, not an NPC.

If we want Animal spawning without activate foraging we need to choose "RealisticKentuckyFaunaPropsForRP" and animals will spawn anywhere on the map and visible ?

I have a dedicated server at home
I mean I never saw any animals since I played on my server (one week)
I tried on the vanilla map and on a custom map, no animals anywhere on both
I dont know if I have errors related to the mod
I didnt check if I can spawn animals in debug mode, can I do it in Admin in my MP Game ?
There is a particular order for the mod in the server settings file ?
I have all these mods related to Fauna and in this order :
FaunaForagingNormal;
FaunaActions;
FaunaMoreCats;
FaunaMoreCatsForaging

@Samy FIGUEROA yes, it's compatible with Immersive Hunting, what do you mean it's not working? are you playing in mp or sp? Do you get errors? Are you able to spawn animals in debug mode?

@Agent Orange Yes, you can add the mod mid-game without any issues. It will work fine on an ongoing multiplayer server.

@soupa doopa: There are already a couple of animals that can be “worn” by admins, like dogs and the white crocodile called Ulysses. If you equip them together with an “invisibility suit” (there are many mods that give invisibility through items), you’ll get the effect of impersonating the animal. For now, these are the only animals that an admin can “wear,” and they move together with you.

hello my love would it be possible to make all the animals wearable? as morphs, i guess? or avatars? specifically for admins on multiplayer servers, not naturally occurring/applying to what you find foraging but only accessible through admin tools so admins can be animals! i was trying to find a mod like that but it seems it does not exist and it would be very fun to have that!

Hi guys, thanks for all the comments and to those who are still using the mod. The mod hasn’t been abandoned, I’ve just taken a break from programming/3D modeling. I also would like to know, does this allow us to interact with or ride the horses?

I saw a Build 40 mod that apparently allowed us to have the horses follow us and carry a bag, but they couldn't be ridden.

Would be epic if we can ride them in 41 or in 42 when it drops to stable.

@CageyPower, the plan is to include several animals in version 42, which was just released! The animals already have all their skeletons ready, but they need to be animated, so it will be a long job (I'm working on it alone). I have no doubt that it will be possible to create a dog that follows you around and attacks infected, but we’ll see over time. There’s a lot to learn about the new release.
