Try unsubbing and resubbing if you are getting an error? I dont know what could be causing the issue, sorry
Sniperlink02 May 10 @ 1:59am
I'm getting "[ERROR]ID is null." in my mod manager....
lazarusblack May 10 @ 12:02am
@BlazingImp77151, Buddy, you are amazing. I was trying to figure it out myself but I think I will stick to tech modding in the future, more my speed! :wftolaugh:

These changes made the difference. Thanks BlazingImp.
BlazingImp77151  [author] May 9 @ 5:05pm
updated. I made sure it was exactly what I had in my game (but you know, 20x). if it doesnt work, i don't know how to help.
BlazingImp77151  [author] May 9 @ 4:01pm
Alright, Update might take a while, apparently despite it being a perfect match, the game/uploading system thinks that the image for the mod is improperly named or not there.
BlazingImp77151  [author] May 9 @ 3:50pm
to be clear the only mods i was running at the time of that test were enabling debug mode, and this mod itself.

After testing: Japan 4096ish with mod at 20x, difficulty on normal, long campaign. Japan 248ish with 0 mods, difficulty on normal, long campaign.

So the mod does work.
BlazingImp77151  [author] May 9 @ 3:43pm
Alright, so i opened up Terra Invicta, which I have not touched (other than automatic steam updates) since 2024 (when the last update to this mod was released). The mod appears to work, I am in version 0.4.78.

However, I am playing on a slightly different copy of the mod, where the limit is 200x instead of 20x, so let me test if 20x works for me, and if it does I will put out an update to the mod.

A problem y'all might be having is that the mod might not work on already started saves. you might need to start a new one. I do remember that quite a bit of information is actually kept in your save, and changing some mods and settings will not change saves that have already started.
BlazingImp77151  [author] May 9 @ 3:32pm
It should be using the multiplier system, though it is old enough that one of the older versions used the old system.
lazarusblack May 9 @ 12:05pm
Is this version of the mod supposed to have the old directInvestmentAnnualIPCap?

Didn't it switch to being nationalDirectInvestmentCapGlobalMultiplier at some point?
lazarusblack May 5 @ 12:29am
In the hopes of being of some help, I did a clean install for both the game and this mod, was using no other mods. Two new games and the mod didn't apply. I'm always open to the possibility I did something wrong, of course. But no nation had the boosted direct investment cap.
BlazingImp77151  [author] May 4 @ 10:25am
or if its the same break from before. when did I last update this, before the last couple of people who said it was broken?
BlazingImp77151  [author] May 4 @ 10:23am
Wonder what they changed this time. or if its one of those "it broke but still works for some people" moments.
lazarusblack May 4 @ 2:05am
For anyone else swinging by, after much testing this mod definitely doesn't work as of 0.4.78, April update.
Tal'Raziid Dec 24, 2024 @ 10:01pm
Gotcha, thanks!
BlazingImp77151  [author] Dec 24, 2024 @ 5:17pm
IIRC, the TIGC file never actually had it; it was a hidden config. Also, I don't know if I will be fixing it. I will look into what changed on the TI Discord, but I haven't played in several updates, and I don't even know what the recent ones have changed. Other than seeing posts about officers on Reddit.
Tal'Raziid Dec 22, 2024 @ 10:12pm
Will you be updating this for the new method of investment cap? this mod no longer works on the latest (experimental) patch, and i cant find a reference to "nationalDirectInvestmentCapGlobalMultiplier" in the TIGC file at all
HellFae Nov 11, 2024 @ 7:41pm
when I re-downloaded the mod it was on the initial version, BTW I deleted the mod on enabled file and unsubscribed on steam before downloading it again.
Alex Nov 11, 2024 @ 4:49pm
is it working?
BlazingImp77151  [author] Nov 11, 2024 @ 12:32pm
If you download the mod, it should put it into your mods folder, and from there it should be simple to check. However just as said in the description, this mod changes a single line of code in the TIGlobalConfig.json. It changes "nationalDirectInvestmentCapGlobalMultiplier" from whatever its default value is to 20 (unless i updated the mod after i changed my personal copy to 200)
HellFae Nov 11, 2024 @ 8:35am
Can I see what you change?
BlazingImp77151  [author] Nov 5, 2024 @ 2:58am
I have not tested this mod in any of the recent versions since 4.26 as said in the description. It *should* work, unless they changed how the direct investment cap works again.

I am not sure why the description and title say 20x as my copy is set to 200x, but otherwise, its as advertised. it multiplies the investment cap, and it was last tested back in june when my copy of the game was on 4.26.
HellFae Nov 4, 2024 @ 5:21pm
does this mod still work?
Zarathustra Jul 21, 2024 @ 6:56pm
can you multiply it by a 100?
BlazingImp77151  [author] Jun 17, 2024 @ 11:04pm
In the base game the investment cap now varies between nations. That is probably why it has been switched to the multiplier that HellFae mentions. I know the mod isnt balanced anyways, but i have no idea what to set the multiplier to.

Given china and india have the highest values at around 500, I'm guessing the cap is based roughly on population, and another value because countries with much less population also have somewhat high (though nowhere near as much) values.

For now I'll try 20. I'll try to have an update out within a day or two
BlazingImp77151  [author] Jun 17, 2024 @ 10:36pm
Alright. Looking into the game, it appears with an in-game config (upon starting a new save); you can change the number of investment points required to complete a priority, so that's nice. I can't find about increasing the cap either in-game, in the default TIGlobalConfig, or in the exposed variables shown on the discord, however (though that is for 4.18, before the change).
BlazingImp77151  [author] Jun 17, 2024 @ 10:15pm
It appears according to the comments by HellFae and Bodine that the config values i changed have been removed/changed since I made this mod, and it no longer works the same way. I will look into fixing it, but as I no longer play the game, I can make no guarantees.
gnt2hk Jun 9, 2024 @ 6:26pm
Is it going to get updated?
Aflack May 27, 2024 @ 9:46pm
me need mod back please
HellFae Apr 23, 2024 @ 2:44pm
update 4.19

added nationalDirectInvestmentCapGlobalMultiplier in TIGlobalConfig to nation direct investment cap calculation for modders (default is 1)
Bodine Wilson Apr 21, 2024 @ 2:39pm
yeah, it's broken. I'm guessing it modified directInvestmentAnnualIPCap, which is gone now. I'm not sure how it's currently calculated.
K did literally nothing wrong Apr 15, 2024 @ 1:59am
And now it's busted on the mainline branch lmao
K did literally nothing wrong Apr 12, 2024 @ 9:15am
Yeah, it's busted on validation_release.
Kindly requesting an update, somehow.
K did literally nothing wrong Apr 10, 2024 @ 10:26am
Is this broken now?
Tal'Raziid Jan 15, 2024 @ 12:23am
@Rawrkiteh uninstall UMM-Terra Invicta and reinstall with Assembly isntead of proxy
BlazingImp77151  [author] Aug 19, 2023 @ 10:48pm
The mod is working fine on my end, having downloaded it on a brand-new computer, so I don't know what the issue is. The only potential problem I can see is the one Soylent_Greene pointed out back in October.
BlazingImp77151  [author] Aug 1, 2023 @ 9:14pm
I'm going through to see what changes have happened since I last played and update this mod. If anyone is aware of what is causing the mod to only work upon reinstalling or manually changing, please let me know. I'll try to figure it out from my end, but I could use help if anyone knows what's wrong.
Zarquon Apr 13, 2023 @ 7:39am
If the mod doesn't work you can manually edit (notepad++) the "TiGlobalConfig.json" file found
steamapps\common\Terra Invicta\TerraInvicta_Data\StreamingAssets\Templates

on the second line put
"directInvestmentAnnualIPCap": 100000,

so my first three lines look like
"dataName": "globalConfig",
"directInvestmentAnnualIPCap": 100000,
"quotes": 28,

worked fine for me

I seem to have a CTD before main menu every time with this mod enabled in current patch.
BlazingImp77151  [author] Oct 29, 2022 @ 4:51pm
I'll look into whether anything changed with the update. I think it's a matter of the game overwriting and modified files whenever it updates, meaning you need to disable and then re-enable mods every time you update.
Soylent_Greene Oct 29, 2022 @ 8:44am
Viper,

Each time they have patched the game I have seen the mods failing

So I load a saved game, which will have the older patch info in them. I then save the game with the new patch ID, and exit to the main menu. Open the MODS menu, unload all, and reload them.

Exit the game completely and reload. Reload the patched game with the MODS reloaded.

This usually works.
Viper767 Oct 29, 2022 @ 7:45am
The mod does not seem to work currently.
I checked that the TIGlobalConfig.json is not changed by other mods and the investment cap ist still 200.
Weird thing is I looked up the file in the game folder and the changed line is the same value (100000) as in the modded file.

So I went and modded the original and the cap increased. So maybe they added a new divisor or the mod file got switched around. :)
BlazingImp77151  [author] Oct 14, 2022 @ 3:56pm
as said in the note at the end of the description, the mod edits something in the TIGlobalConfig file in the templates folder. it should be as simple as copying this to that file to add it, as this one uses a value not already present in the file.
CPT_SARCASM Oct 14, 2022 @ 8:07am
So far i haven't been able to get the mod to work, though this might be because other mods interfere.
Is there a file with the base files of the game which also contains this value? so I can mod it myself? or can I add the lines for this mod somewhere?
BlazingImp77151  [author] Oct 11, 2022 @ 4:36pm
does this actually not work in the latest version? I havent been on in a few days, and i havent even tried this version of the mod (i use another that does multiple things at once).

if you are having trouble, maybe try to re-install it because the mod wouldve been taken out of the template when the game updated
MadNick Oct 11, 2022 @ 3:18am
This mod work with latest patch? If so can get it working
Soylent_Greene Oct 10, 2022 @ 11:18am
POXUS,

I know where the saved games are located, and I have seen they are kept compressed

I can open them with either WinZip or WinRAR and read them

But restoring the saved game to a compressed file HASN'T worked yet
Not sure what compression system I am supposed to use
p0xus Oct 10, 2022 @ 9:14am
@Soylent You can also do save game editing to chance a nations stats to whatever you want.
Soylent_Greene Oct 7, 2022 @ 11:11pm
I tried a game, using Cheat Engine to change the MONEY, INFLUENCE & OPS

I also modified this MOD so the max at 1M credits

Taking control of the USA, I then invested 1M credits at 150K per section

It resulted in the USA supplying 300K science, 120 boost/turn
sargatanus Oct 7, 2022 @ 10:31pm
But yeah, turning a place like Mongolia into an affluent, modernized, nuclear superpower overnight is pretty hilarious.
Hazel Horse Oct 7, 2022 @ 10:30pm
Stupid question: If you wanted to put this directly into the game's TIGlobalConfig.json so you didn't have to load mods (for achievement runs), how would you do so?
