The way this mod messes up diplomacy is just ridiculous. It just renders it completely useless as all factions declare war on you, including those with whom you have military alliances.

Pumping up the creation of more armies by the AI is ok but when it comes to diplomacy, this is just absurd.

The modifiers affect all difficulties, but it recommended to play at the highest difficulty

Mod is great! But i wouldn't want to fight with the factions within same culture, like playing as karl franz it's weird to see vissenland team up with nurgl and vampires to fight with me, even if i was in alliance with them, they just simply break the agreements and starting the war.... damn tough, could you create a mod which just simply allows the factions within same culture rather to stay together than team up with foreigners

The mod is an amazing challenge, but, the AI can recruit a full army in one turn? That's too fast, could you perhaps make a version where this does not happen?

I like that you get swarmed by the AI, but them being able to basically recruit a whole army in one turn seems to kill the fun

@soulmindproductions You can choose any difficulty you want, the modifiers will apply to all of them, but some behaviours will be even more difficult on higher difficulty levels

Perhaps a good way to balance it is to take out the massive diplomacy penalty, but also take out the increased post battle income reward. That way, you have to still worry about maintaining good relations/strong alliances whilst still having to make sure decisions regarding army composition and finance.

Currently I just build multiple fat stacks and just have them bunch up near towns/villages, and even though my upkeep is several thousands in the red, the post battle reward gives me so much money to be able to have 4~6 full stacks for every town and settlement under my control, and i'll still have money to spare.

Yeah, I agree Aokami. It often feels like Total War Warhammer has *more* War rather than *difficult* wars

I always love me a challenge. And once ultimate crisis hits whilst at war, things get pretty crazy. But I really have to ask, is the massive diplomacy penalty necessary?

Currently almost, if not all, factions declare war on you. Making trades or non-aggression pacts seem to matter very little. By turn 10ish i'm at war with 8+ factions, and that increases as turns pass. But I don't think AI's (at least factions that were initially on good terms with you/trading) should have such an aggressive stance. Ai's already have the ability to make multiple full stacks to hit the player with, I don't think it's necessary to make every faction in the game start declaring war just to wipe the player out only.

Well, anti-player bias is hard-coded in the game, but I do make make it stronger in the mod. As far as AI passive XP gain is concerned, that is a good idea, I will have a look at how to implement it

Thanks man, this works after resubbing. Love your work. I think the experience can be better if you can give extra passive EXP to the enemy lords (they keep rushing at the player and dying so ends up underleveled as a result) and if you can make the AI stop skilling only one of the custom skill. I assume the anti-player bias people talked about here is just hard coded in the game.

the only faction that this mod doesnt affect is clan ikit claw, because that nuke pretty much one shot kills

Hey Syntethic man lovely mod, been using it for all games and finally got my hands on twwh3, quick question, the kills added from Insane doesn't seem to apply in my game, Living legend, analytical etc. Are they disabled or is something broken that I do not know of?

Does this mod make other difficulty levels more difficult as well or simply just making very hard insane? Because I like the enemy spamming armies, but I'm not really enjoying diplomacy being negated by everyone declaring war turn one just wondering if playing on like hard would or normal would negate the diplomacy issue or is that just the mod?

Hi I'm not sure if it is intended. But the extra skills from this mod- Analytical/ charismatic/ etc is only present on some characters and not on others after the new patch. Reloading the old saves make those skills disappear as well. Tried resubbing to the mod didnt work :)

I can reduce post battle loot for the player and their agent success chance or recruitment, if you feel like it would be an improvement if it makes the game harder? I am just waiting for confirmation if these are changes that people are interested in

I can easily make the mod much much harder, but the idea isn't to make it impossible, but rather insane to deal with, and that means constant battles and micromanaging as it is now.

Regarding your feedback, I can easily remove post battle loot income if you think it is too much of a crutch for the player and through that impose an additional severe handicap. Agents are supposed to be used against everything that the game throws at you, but I can severely limit how many you can recruit if it feels to easy at the moment.

Your comment feels a little like just a humble brag about how good you are at the game, but I am always happy to change things to accommodate players based on feedback.

I tried as Ikit claw on very hard dificulty and ufortynetly game is not harder. AI is just producin crazy amout of armies (all are focus on the player - dyplomacy is ignored). AI armies by dying are delivering incredible amount of money. Everything can be won by auto resolve (just spam master assassins and recruit; too many armies - assassination/ambush).

It requires a lot of micro managing and rushing the enemy. But event then it is not for everyone, that's why it is a submod.

The changes are not faction specific, to tailor everything faction by faction would take a lot of playtesting that I don't have the time for anymore. I am not sure what you mean by the Bretonnian changes, unless you just mean those generalised tweaks applied to that faction. Also, this mod is impossible to balance in a traditional sense
