Yep, I would have said they were likely on a vendor and just buying them back should progress the quest. It just looks for presence of the item in the inventory.
thecenterpath May 25 @ 1:47pm
We found we sold the notes.
thecenterpath May 25 @ 1:37pm
Thanks, Artyoan. After we got the wraps, it says to "Collect the Research Notes". However, we previously cleared the entire Caer Eldon. We cannot find any new node to click that has the Research Notes book. What could we be missing? May we have accidentally sold it?
Artyoan  [author] Apr 20 @ 10:02am
@thecenterpath, he is to the north of the Central Jungle area (which is the area just north of the swamp). Should be a transition area to Old Shorehaven there.
thecenterpath Apr 20 @ 9:59am
Hello... We are stuck on the quest, Lysander's Task: Seek Lyander. We think we have cleared everything, up through the Caer Eldon tower, but we cannot find Lysander.
Artyoan  [author] Mar 3 @ 10:10am
Thanks rogan6. Glad to hear that.

I just wanted to say this is an amazing module with challenging combats and a good story. I had as much fun with this as I did with the original campaign, maybe even more. Excellent balance and neat maps with lots of variety.

I'll be playing your other maps now...looking forward to it!
Artyoan  [author] Feb 16 @ 7:29pm
@pfworks, are you finding the three stones? There are two in the central jungle area and one in the caer eldon outskirts. All of them should be marked my waypoints on the map.

The final stone right next to the witch hut is just adjacent to it behind a tree just to the left of the hut itself.
pfworks Feb 16 @ 6:18pm
So I'm stuck at the Witch's Hut. It says to go back and find the small stone... none to be found.
Artyoan  [author] Feb 8 @ 3:07pm
Thanks Aldin. There are some elements to this campaign, especially ambushes, that won't be all that fair for a stealth oriented party. Not impossible to overcome but some uphill battles to be sure. I had less ambushes in the other campaigns overall.
Aldin Feb 8 @ 5:45am
Well, not the fault of the module, but I was trying something new and I am getting the sense that I am about to get my stealth optimized party in above their heads (Just had a TPK at level 7). Stealth is useful, high AC is way more useful. This is probably true throughout Solasta campaigns, but my Barbarian, Monk, Druid, Wizard run is coming to an end here. I think I'll give it another shot with a better balanced party as I'm otherwise having a great time with the story and encounter design.

@cuppajoeat, if you've cleared the sewer and the ogre, then the next place you will head to is back in the western forest area and to that northwest abandoned keep. There should be an active doorway there now to proceed to a chapel. At the back of the chapel should be a stairway down to the crypt.
cuppajoeat Jan 10 @ 7:19am
Just started this campaign and I'm enjoying it. However, I do have a problem. I have the quest to kill the ogre. I went and cleaned out the sewer and I'm at the place where it says to go to the crypt and there is no exit, no nothing. What am I missing. Thanks for the help.
Artyoan  [author] Jan 2 @ 11:48am
@itsrambo, not sure why that would happen. Might be a one-off bug or something but haven't had any reports on it before.
Itsrambo Jan 2 @ 10:52am
had a problem with girlfriends wizard spellbook disappearing after killing a jimbu in the cave had a fair few spells that were gone from that, I dont know if anyone else had any similar problems ?
Artyoan  [author] Nov 27, 2024 @ 6:47am
Thanks SourKebab. Good to hear. The other two story campaigns are similar in structure while the fourth one is more of a randomized combat project.
SourKebab Nov 27, 2024 @ 1:55am
Just finished this campaign, literally dlc/main campaign material, good writings and map design & encounters. will play more of author's stuff.
Artyoan  [author] Nov 2, 2024 @ 6:17pm
I'll add to it. She is in the western forest, just west of New Shorehaven. Should be able to see her icon on the map there.
Penitent Pilgrim Nov 2, 2024 @ 6:07pm
Once is not enough only says to "return to Tessa".
Artyoan  [author] Nov 2, 2024 @ 5:59pm
Which one is too vague? Most of them should have some help to determine where to go.
Penitent Pilgrim Nov 2, 2024 @ 5:54pm
My one suggestion wold be to add the quest giver's location to quest notes; it's frustrating to come back to the game after not playing for a while and have no idea where to go to complete a quest.
Artyoan  [author] Oct 31, 2024 @ 6:03pm
@blackbriar60, within the library just to the east inside Elswulf's manor should be an interactable book pile. That will advance the quest.
Blackbriar60 Oct 31, 2024 @ 4:21pm
ONCE IS NOT ENOUGH. How do you complete this quest? I swear I have looked in every library
Penitent Pilgrim Oct 19, 2024 @ 12:09pm
Thanks again, I am enjoying the module.
Artyoan  [author] Oct 19, 2024 @ 11:55am
Yep, there will be a vendor to sell to there, as well as quick travel opportunities to return to the town.
Penitent Pilgrim Oct 19, 2024 @ 11:51am
I'm an idiot, thanks, I totally missed that west area.

Is there anywhere to sell loot at the island or should I just leave it all on the ground?
Artyoan  [author] Oct 19, 2024 @ 10:43am
@pPenitent, should be a path you can take on the west side of that location. West of that room with the chest behind the locked bars. Then north.

Going near a statue south of that locked door, near the tomb, can also (possibly) unlock it.
Penitent Pilgrim Oct 19, 2024 @ 10:34am
I'm stuck at Make Your Way Through The Crypt. I just fought the wight, zombies, and skeletal archers and the only door I see can't be opened. I've searched for a key or secret door and can't find either. There is a cage with a door I can't open that has a chest, can't find a way into that either.
Artyoan  [author] Sep 26, 2024 @ 3:25pm
That's fine if you want to continue with it. Just be aware that almost no custom campaigns are designed with Cataclysm in mind. None of mine are. The vast majority of people play on either authentic or scavenger.
fish soup Sep 26, 2024 @ 3:11pm
@Artyoan, thanks for your reply, but i think i will continue playing with current difficulty because i play cataclysm mode since i bought this game
Artyoan  [author] Sep 26, 2024 @ 2:59pm
@fish soup, most of the enemies here are custom stats in the second half. I didn't test it on cataclysm because that is an entirely arbitrary mode of play with percentage increases to health and other parameters that make little sense. Though I do know a few who beat it on cataclysm anyway.

I'd suggest not playing on cataclysm but using custom stats that don't double the health of already custom enemies.
fish soup Sep 26, 2024 @ 2:58pm
now my band is lv.6, and almost every battle the enemy's attack modifier exceeds 10 and even reaches 13, hit once damage is 30+, the number of enemies often exceeds 10. I don't use Unfinished business
fish soup Sep 26, 2024 @ 2:53pm
I don't understand why so many people rate this mod so highly, I deeply doubt the author's own level of play. i play cataclysm mode and 27 points pool, but bad economic design makes my band weak. so i wanna ask author, before released this mod, did you test cataclysm mode difficulty???
crimanysakes Sep 24, 2024 @ 11:48am
@Artyoan -- thanks for the heads up. Awesome modules. We are on to the next!
Artyoan  [author] Sep 18, 2024 @ 6:27am
@crimanysakes, you can leave that area, will get a message explaining your ending (one of two), then can export your characters if desired.
crimanysakes Sep 18, 2024 @ 12:30am
We just finished The Mirror quest where it gives us a "You are victorious" message in the quest log. And no further quests to do. It was late so we called it a night. But is there anything else to do? Don't want to spend a bunch of time just wondering if we're finished. But if there IS more to do you can just let me know w/o giving anything away and we'll continue along.
Artyoan  [author] Sep 17, 2024 @ 10:05am
I don't know why that would be happening, ubraneguerilla. The maid quest not completing is inconsequential but the orc quest will only complete after beating a certain named orc in a cave. The encounters in the forest won't complete that particular quest. Might see if the maid quest not completing is just a one-off thing. But I don't know what would cause an issue there.
urbaneguerilla Sep 17, 2024 @ 9:28am
Hi, I'm enjoying this adventure but I have a problem. The quests are not being marked as completed so i can't make progress. I've killed 2 bunches of orcs in the forest but quest is still incomplete and i've found the key for the maid and been given the reward but, again, quest still incomplete. I'm playing on explorer mode with a party consisting of a warlock, monk, barbarian and cleric. do you know why this could be happening. Many thanks UG
Artyoan  [author] Aug 28, 2024 @ 6:35am
Thanks for the reviews. It was a pleasure to make as well! Just feels good to gradually see something finally come together and other people get to enjoy it.
VanBurenPhilips Aug 28, 2024 @ 6:01am
This is the best I've played so far, and the most I've enjoyed Solasta. Can't say it better than HiddenHax. Only criticism is that the very final developments of the story lost me a little bit, but no big deal, this is a brilliant campaign. Great work :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:
HiddenHax Aug 8, 2024 @ 1:07pm
An amazing campaign to start off the trilogy. It's got truly challenging encounters, interesting story and dialogues, well balanced gold economy and absolutely gorgeous level design. If you want a module that has it all, look no further than Forsaken Isle.
Artyoan  [author] Jul 17, 2024 @ 7:44am
@Falka, yes, it does. A main quest line and several side quests.
Falka Jul 17, 2024 @ 4:31am
Does this one have quests?
Artyoan  [author] Jun 29, 2024 @ 3:29pm
Thanks CaioSalvador. Good to hear.
CaioSalvador Jun 29, 2024 @ 3:08pm
Thanks for the great campaign. I just finished and had a blast!
Artyoan  [author] May 29, 2024 @ 7:14am
@crimanysakes, there is a setting (but not sure if it is from default Solasta settings or Unfinished Business mod) that is for arachnophobia. That is what turns spiders into bears. You could embrace the cuteness and leave ir on or welcome some mild horror into your life with real spiders.
crimanysakes May 28, 2024 @ 11:46pm
Had an interesting encounter with the spiders right before you hit the girl that asks for the book. All the spiders came out as little bear cubs. Not sure how that happened!

Awe, so cute! [imgur.com]
Artyoan  [author] May 26, 2024 @ 6:41pm
Thanks guys.

Danklord, Unfinished Business is great. More than doubles the capabilities of the game. Very impressed with that mod. I even contributed some custom portraits to it.
DankLord May 26, 2024 @ 4:50pm
Excellent stuff! Just finished this one today, had a great time trying out new classes/multi classing w/ the UB mod. This was a really well made campaign. Great maps and encounters.
raoh May 24, 2024 @ 2:45pm
Just finished Forsaken Isle with 6. I did have to give bad guys a penalty to hit near the mid point as the magic armor seemed scarce (My people didn't have maxed out DEX or were too fond of bows or two handed weapons to carry shields.) I changed it back eventually.
Crafting supplies and patterns dropped enough that I never felt compelled to buy recipes from merchants. My mage had a crafted soulstealer light xbow she liked so much she barely used her spells. With a few feats she outdamaged the bard but not the monk or ranger. The only things I purchased were see invis rings, elf boots (for the forest imp xbow wizard) and a periapt vs poison so the cleric could play in the cloudkills with the monk.
Excellent work once again. For anyone else reading this, Artyoan's games are excellent and well worth playing.
