@iSynthh Try to wait about 10 seconds before accepting the battle results to returning to the campaign screen. For some reason the game sometimes thinks it has finished loading when it has not, then it crashes.
@PapaMaus167 Much appreciated.
@打小就二 有AI做的
@The Crusader I believe there is a way to do so but I can't recall.
Check your Steam downloads - the download could possibly be paused.
Restart steam so it notices you have mod subscriptions to download.
Make sure you have enough diskspace to download the mod.
Atilla has Dawnless Days if you want a more recent engine LOTR mod by the way.
@derrickwoodberry69 We're still working on it every so often but other projects are a higher priority.
@Dakureisu If you can get a consistent crash then send us a log file on Discord, hopefully it is something fixable!
@9torrestotal
A lot of crashes stop if you wait 10 or so seconds before beginning and exiting a battle because the engine needs time to load and finalise the results.
The other other possible fix is : Delete the preferences folder in C:\Users\YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME\AppData\Local\Feral Interactive\Total War ROME REMASTERED\VFS\Local\Rome
Sometimes that will refresh your game and stop the crashes.
If it still keeps happening, come on the discord and post your error log so we can have a look and see if there is anything fixable!
Could this be related to certain generals, or maybe to modified army stats from the blacksmith level 2?
1. Disable Good vs Evil Superfactions
2. Reload the game as often as possible to make the AI rethink what it is doing. Battling counts as a reload so if you're battling every turn, the campaign AI is a bit better.
Unfortunately, Rome Remaster campaign AI will always develop this problem unless it is patched in the future
@LEGION22 Not as far as I know.
Either way, one of my favourite factions, they have low attack but AP so you can surround and butcher Dwarves or Elves with good positioning.
@SpectralPanda Glad you are enjoying it!
@Angry ♥♥♥♥♥♥ You might need to change the unit color scheme setting in graphics settings from vibrant to realistic.
@UncleAnon It depends which faction you are, Gondor should go near Erech, Rohan near Dunharrow. Mordor continues after Sauron dies but won't respawn Ringwraith generals.
@DeadPool :p It might be a pathfinding issue, depends on which settlement it is happening in. As for crashes, if you scroll to to the next page here there are some suggestions on what to do to avoid them.
