@daisukemoritani9 It works on MacOS. I can't speak for any specific MacBook, but if it can run the game, it can run this mod.

@CTV If you're getting that message it means that the mod is on your system somewhere; the conflict detection looks for loaded binaries.

My first guess is that you're probably experiencing the Steam Workshop bug where it'll sometimes download mods that you're no longer subscribed to. Verifying local files can clean this up, and also look at Skyve's cleanup functionality.

By the way, i don't have that mod and i never downloaded it. Also i deleted all my mods but its still saying this. I really don't know what to do and what is causing this error.

@PG "There is no other mod installed" combined with "or one of its dependencies" - it sounds very much like you don't have the required Harmony dependency mod installed (linked above under 'Required Items').

Error: Failed to load the mod's dll file, or one of its dependencies. I have uninstalled and installed the mod, and the game itself via steam. the error persists. There is no other mod installed, and it worked perfectly until 2 weeks ago.

Even when I start a new game, 81 Tiles doesn't work. When I try to unlock all the tiles, my computer completely freezes. How can I check the Output Log?

@DarknesS The mod hasn't changed at all, and neither has the game, and both are still used by thousands of users a day without issue; so no, the mod hasn't broken. It's possible your save has, but nobody knows if you don't share your output log .

Despite not having made any changes to the game for a long time, the mod suddenly broke on its own. At first, it just gave an error message, but now it causes the screen to go black and makes the computer unusable. I believe the issue is related to the mod. It happened out of nowhere, and there had been no problems before. When I remove the mod, I can play the game without any issues. The mod seems to have broken around the first week of June, and some recent comments seem to support this.

Is anyone else having compatibility issues? Until yesterday it was working normally, now it says it is not compatible with the version of the game. However, there is no option to play the previous version on Steam.

@syn roberta burneiki Yes. If the mod is disabled you'll only have access to unlocked tiles within the 25 tile area (and buildings and other functions outside that area will no longer work).

When using ANY mods (not just this one!) you should ALWAYS quit to desktop between loading saves/starting a new game (see also the Beginner's Guide to using mods ).

So, if I understand correctly - after unlocking all tiles, I have to keep mod enabled? Save loading also has to be done by quiting to desktop and booting the game again? It's not a big problem, just asking about safety of save file :)

@syn roberta burneiki That's normal. Without the mod you'll only be able to access the inner 25 (5x5) tiles, as that's all that's supported by the base game. Whether or not you've previously unlocked them with the mod is irrelevant - without the mod, it's only 5x5 tiles max.

If you want more than the 5x5 tile area, you'll need to keep the mod active.

Hi, I tried using the mod on the latest version of CS, and it kind of worked. I loaded the game with the mod, clicked "Unlock All Tiles", and waited 3–5 minutes. Everything seemed fine — the map boundaries were fully unlocked — so I quit to desktop. Later, I launched the game again, disabled the mod in the main menu, and tried to load my save. But somehow, the city borders had shrunk back to 5x5 tiles. I used this mod about two months ago and it worked perfectly back then. I've tried multiple times now, verified game files, and even tried using the mod manager for CS.

@NeonriderX360yt TM:PE, yes. Network Extensions 2 technically yes, but note that you should not be using that any more. Use the Network Extensions 2replacement roads instead; if you've already got Network Extensions 2 roads in your city, use RON to replace them so you can safely unsubscribe from Network Extensions 2 and make sure your game is safe.

Use Skyve to ensure the mod has correctly downloaded.
Manually check the steam/steamapps/workshop/255710/2862121823 folder to ensure it exists and has files in it.

@cashnut4 Assets are fine, mods are not. Never use any mod in any editor unless you know for certain that mod is editor-safe (most mods are NOT ), and you know that you're actually going to need that mod in the editor. Skyve can help you manage different playing/editor modsets.

Issues with maps such as what you're having is often a symptom of having mods active when in the editor. Unfortunately, you'll need to start over - the map file is probably irretrievably corrupted.

@cashnut4 Did you make sure that you were only going into the map editor with an editor-safe modlist? Most mods are NOT safe for use in the editor.

Afternoon Algernon.

Love the mod. been using it for over a Year now.

anyway, i tried to make a new map. i turned off the mod and i made it in the editor and everything.

however, when i tried to start a game on it, it becomes corrupt. (blue half screen and so on.). i tried disabling it, subbing it, nothing work.

even when i tried loading it in the editor. it still corrupt

anything you would recommend to fix it?

@Gamma Just select (and/or deselect) the relevant options in the mod's options panel before your load your save (if already in your city, select the options, save your game, exit to desktop, and restart the game).

Basically, there are "old mods" that worked by patching game functions a certain way. When done that way only one mod's patches could exist at a time. If you added two mods that both tried to patch the same thing they would conflict and you'd only end up with one of the patches. "New mods" use a new method of patching that allows multiple mods to work in Harmony (wink) and so you can have multiple mods effective at the same time without having to worry about them overwriting each other. Unfortunately, some mods were never updated to use the new method and so are not compatible. If you use some of those popular old mods, you're almost certain to run into issues.
