@Cyno custom caps unfortunately won't work with how the game handles the scrap system. It's either exclusive or not. I tried scaling costs similar to the greenskins but it didn't work out when using different resources than scraps. I also don't think that it is possible to upgrade every unit with every rune at the same time until very late into the campaign. Maybe I'll add an upkeep increase for the upgrades in this mod to discourage players from stacking everything on the most expensive unit as soon as possible

Or perhaps make each upgrade cost more, especially if they increase exponentially? That could help balance it without needing a hard cap?

Love this mid, the idea fits the Dwarfs perfectly and makes Oathgold matter even more. But right now it feels a bit too strong since you can stack every rune on every unit.

Would it be possible to limit it somehow, maybe to two or three runes per unit? That would keep the upgrades meaningful without making the army unstoppable.

@Blu3Tund3r yes, you could create a submod with rpfm that links the upgrades from this mod with the units from the mod you mentioned. The only table you need to add for that is unit_purchasable_effect_sets_tables. Look up the keys in the main_unit table from the unit mod and the unit_purchasable_effects in my mod

question is it possible to expand this mod to work with Dwarf Polearms ( Vanilla 6.X ) mod

@tovDmitrij I guess it would be possible, but this is out of the scope for this mod. I am using the game's default upgrade panel so in case CA adds that feature it should actually work with all of my upgrade mods

Good afternoon. Is it possible to add a button that allows me to buy all upgrades for a specific unit at once ? It would be much more convenient than having to press the "upgrade" button for each individual upgrade hundreds of times. Thank you.

@Orthranus you should also add the norse dwarf mod as depency btw but I don't know what the packfile is called so you would need to look it up

@Orthranus since this this seems to be an entire custom faction with a complete roster the easiest way to achieve baseline compatibility would be to create carbon copies of the upgrades that require technologies they don't have access to and link them to the modded units. This should be possible using the unit_purchasable_effects_tables and unit_purchasable_effect_sets_tables only. When you got rpfm running and created a new packfile, use the depencies manager to add my DD_dwf_runes.pack and generate the dependency cache so the keys to the upgrades are known to the program without having to copy-paste them into your submod

That sorta sounds like something I could learn to do, however the mod I was looking at, the Norse Dwarves by Cataph has a different technology tree entirely meaning that unless units reach a certain rank only the baseline runes are available. That I have no idea where to begin.

@Orthranus I'm sorry that I misread your question. Adding upgrades to units from other mods is very easy when you are familiar with rusted packfile manager. Check the submod section and the description and especially Apex' compilation to see which unit mods are already covered. Adding it to allied units is not so easy for upgrades that use pooled resources since the costs stay the same. In case of this specific mod no non-dwarf faction would have access to oathgold and therefore wouldn't be able to buy a single upgrade.

@Orthranus I tried this once in warhammer 2 and it worked back then, but the unit will lose all upgrades every time the current mount is changed. This happens because the game will internally just swap out the unit with the corresponding mounted variant. So in case of a lord with a 3 mount progression he would lose all upgrades at least 3 times and everytime afterwards when manually changing mounts. I didn't test it at all in game 3 but have no reason to expect different behaviour

From a technical perspective is it possible to create a version of this mod that can apply the upgrades to all non hero/lord units in an army?

@Termineator check out the SFO Grimhammer submod and Apex' submod compilation for any modded units. The base mod will always be for CA Basegame and DLC units only

I guess its too much to hope to get it to work with the additional units that SFO, Landmarks of Legends and Immortal Landmarks add?

When the icon disappears you just need to click on the army again until it pops up

@mman check the bottom of the army panel for the new button. There won't be an upgrade button on the unit card click-menu. The issue Rogueservitor mentioned was before the mod update

same issue as Rogueservitor ui issue where the the arrow to choose runes appears but not the pop up window itself? just get like a small brown square have unsubscribed and resubscribed to check running update

UPDATE: The Scrap Upgrade UI Framework mod is no longer needed as of today

@Le Robbe hi, you can use the scrap ui fix from BAGHolder. I put a link to it on top of the description. It's not a perfect solution but the only one I know of so far. I marked it as a requirement for all my unit upgrade mods for the time being

Question - Can units carry more than one Rune? I seem to have the option to do this but only one icon shows. Am I missing something?

@3D.Hins you won't find anything regarding to the panel height in this mod as it uses the base game panel and only adds a scrollbar with a method explained by rhox in the modding den. Can you try starting a new campaign a new campaign just so see if it works there?

I ry to use rmpf to change the height of panel, but I cant find which value is for that...

Yeah normally it happens only in MP campaigns and whi8le it is open you open it up again with the same unit, that normally fixes it for me.
Keep in mind: you open it on unit X and it does not show the slide bar, you do not close it, you just open it again on the same unit, while it is still open, that normally fixes it for me!

open the upgrade panel again can not work. Maybe I have some other mods cause this problem...
