Sounds good, B42's lightning/environment changes with this would be so good. My friend's don't like it, but I personally love the feeling of having to walk (or get out) of a city during the heavy fog/night. It's so immersive seeing the fading zombies on the edge of fog vision.

I think leaving the Sandbox options toggleable (or just removed) would solidify compatibility a lot, as there's a couple of mods like RZ, Definitive Zombies, etc being revamped in B42 that could easily handle all of it like the current workarounds are now for B41. (IE using Random Zombies/Day&Night while disabling this mods ZLore feature). Though the vehicle malfunctioning is a great idea.

B42 rewrite will take a while as I'm rewriting the scheduling code to be less buggy. Unfortunately juggling this and 4 other projects, I don't have time to post updates on discord. I will release a public test version when it's ready so just follow my workshop to stay updated.

Oh, NVM all good! Said mod takes a while to apply the update. A short while after entering Darkness the console popped up with RZN&D's mod info about changing the applied preset and it worked. SO GOOD - it fixes the problem with this mods Zombie Lore not working with MP.

THAT SAID - when I rejoined the server mid-Darkness event, it loaded the Darkness back correctly, but the fog didn't come back, with an error "Missing texture: media/textures/weather/fogwhite.png. Which is weird, I don't recall changing anything since yesterday that even comes close to that...

Hey @Monkey, is this fog generated by the mod a special type of fog and not vanilla fog?

I have Random Zombies Night And Day And Special Events patch, with SE options set to FOG above 70% = changing zombie behaviour. But it's not changing the zombies to sprinters when in fog during The Darkness. I look in the console, and see it says adding modded fog

There's no good way to post updates on Steam of ongoing development and test branches. Any people that will join, can help with SP & MP testing and that would be much appreciated.

Apologies, I simply don't have the free time to do this right for free right now. I am juggling 3 other projects that net me some money - non PZ related. I just had some free time and ported some of the most popular mods to B42 already.

Indeed. Took a look at the lighting features they introduce and it seems like they really simplified the way global illumination is handled. Should make this mod much simpler and less buggy. However I don’t want to commit to a rewrite release until after B42 is in stable.

I cannot install this mod, the server I got this error while starting the server and cannot find any sandbox options,:

I would like to make it so that sleeping is disabled during darkness events but the sleep debuff doesn't move past the second stage. Is that possible?

So being the zombie lore setting has to be disabled for dedicated server, that means the zombies will always just be whatever our default settings are when the darkness comes?

Yo this mod looks sick but it has no sirens crows or sprinters it just gets dark. Dose it not work on MP servers?

Update: It's not broken. Somehow in this specific game, it just didn't happen within 10 days, for some strange reason? But testing it out again, it's just fine now. Huh.
