That's an intended feature. I only want tic toc to give the +crit during the *next* round, but I can't make a single buff on its own that does that.

So instead I have the crit buff last 2 rounds, but for the first round also apply a crit debuff of equal value to cancel the buff out.

Awesome mod! One question though. When the bird uses Tic Toc on an ally, they get 2% crit debuff that is not on the skill tooltip. Is this intended?

No problem! It was a small thing, but thought I'd mention it all the same. Currently running a team of Trophy Hunter, Anointed, Arbiter and Tempest, and they have great synergy with each other. Out of curiosity, is there any class mods not made by you that you would recommend pairing with your own?

Thanks so much for your kind words. As for the audio of Ruler: it took a long time to get right, and I'm not sure if I can get the original FMOD bank for it anymore, unfortunately. It's bugged me a little as well, but there's not too much I can do. Sorry!

Just finished Darkest Dungeon the other day and am now checking out the modding scene. Wanted to say that all your character mods are of such high quality. Incredibly well done in how they maintain the game's aesthetic. Only critique I have is for this character. 'The Ruler' smack sound effect doesn't happen on cue with the animation of the ruler hitting. I feel like it would be so much more satisfying if that aligned.

An additional note,

I cannot actually remove this quirk file in the base mod, as aside from the overpowered nature of being able to remove the crimson curse for free using the panacea, it would actually break saves that don't have the crimson court DLC installed.

I have added an additional note to the top of the mod description now so that people are aware of this issue.

Thanks for the headsup—I really should've mentioned that this mod does some tweaking to the Crimson Curse. If you're wondering why, it's because originally the panacea would instantly cure the crimson curse, and that was generally overpowered. I had to modify the curse such that it had a special interaction with the panacea so this couldn't happen.

If you wish to modify the mod to ensure compatibility, the easiest thing is just to go to shared > quirk and delete that quirk file.

Found out after some mod disabling, that this mod conflicts with the "Cure Crimson Curse" mod, which lets you cure the crimson curse in the sanitarium by day 1. It also generates some other problems related to crimson curse, atleast for me. Is there anyway to modify the mod, so it does not include the Panacea? Not sure if that is the problem, but I'd guess that's it, since it's the only thing altering the crimson curse.

Glad you're enjoying him! Here's a few dev tips:

The Prefect is designed to play around his teammates. Simply throwing him into a team isn't a best idea—you need some idea of how to make him synergize with his teammates. A few strategies are:

Implode in DOT heavy teams: This is fairly straightforward. Implode drastically improves the effectiveness of heroes like the Plague Doctor/Flag, so the Prefect in conjuction with them is a good idea.

Power Play in mark teams: Power Play can be used to either setup a mark team, or to take advantage of marks with the bleed damage. The short lived duration means you typically need at least 2 damage dealers to take advantage of it though

Subversion in stress heavy teams: The stress reduction from subversion can be really great if paired with an abomination or lamia. I'd recommend trying it out if you haven't already

Loving this guy so far! The assets are great, the abilities are interesting, and having a crane is fun (he is a crane, right?)

Anyone here have any good teams or strats they like running with him? I want to make sure I'm using this mod to the fullest.

I've fixed the issue with the panacea curing the Crimson Curse. Unfortunately, I will likely not be able to fix the issue of it curing modded diseases like the Pelagic Plague, so keep that in mind.

Thanks for the headsup. That is indeed unintended behaviour—I'll see about fixing that.

A heads up, the Panacea is able to cure diseases that are meant to be uncurable such as Crimson Curse or Pelagic Plague from KCC. Figured that probably wasn't intended, as it makes managing these diseases very easy.

This crane is one of the more interesting supports or rather combo pieces I used and he is quite fine at that. He can stun, protect wounded alies, destealth and his sort of ultimate magnum opus combo piece shines the brightest with some aoe marking skills or items (duh) He is well drawn and quite flavourful, so give him a shot :)

was wondering if theres any interaction with the scarecrow class. i know the annointed class being a bird also cant go with the scarecrow, if you havent is yet is there any consideration to do so? stuff like annointed/scarecrow and librarian/rescuer interactions are neat to have

Very cool class, nice art & sounds and very interesting skills ... but Implode make ShieldBreaker and Flagellant really powerful, i suggest that the target & Prefect gain stress from this skill ... Power Play i did not tested because i use other classes that would make it broken, but honestly i would reduce to 1rd the bleed
