I took a peek at the script and added support for multiple oil wells :) thanks for your work.

Great mod, is there any way to easily add the "oil well" to other purchasable tiles apart from the oil rig tile?

do you have a guide on how to make fluid nodes? that would be very helpful

if not can I steal some of your script (I will give credit)

anyone know of a tanker that works with this?
Tomas Sep 15, 2022 @ 8:09am
You are correct sir.
I was finally able to get oil out.

I started sending a signal through to the connected magnet. Is this required ??

At the same time I started to pump out to a tank connected directly to my drilling tool.
Seems my primary issue was the distance I was trying to pump the oil through hose.

tl;dr: The plugin is working

As far as I can tell, the addon is still quite functional. Oil can still be pumped out of the well, and unless the script starts generating errors, it is likely an operational issue rather than a script issue.

Here you can see the caht output and that power is connected to the connector.
I hope it's an easy fix as I really want this addon to work.

Have supplied power to the electrical connector also, but no oil.
Using the ?oil command, I can see that oil is generated.
However I'm unable to pump it out, even if pump and tank are located on the seabed just beside.

To be clear, no oil is supplied until power is supplied to the electrical connector specifically. Magnetic connectors (small, hinge, and large varieties) do not share power when connected, and so cannot be used to 'drill' for the oil.

To clarify: everything works up to the point where the magnet connectors are connected and you are supposed to get fluid out (after "drilling" by supplying power to connector), but with or without pumps there is no oil coming out of the connected magnet. Supplied power from nuclear reactor for more than 1 hour to connector and pumps while AFK, and it did not "drill" any oil for me.

Same problem here. As of now it seems to be broken.
Maybe some of the recent updates broke something.

I have the same problem as Jfx2

Doesn’t seem to be working at all, what am I doing wrong?

I’m using two winches to lower the connector with a pump and a fluid tank, and an electric connector. Both are powered by a large battery

I connect it all up and enable the pumps but no fluid comes out

guh??

This is brilliant and something that should have already been at the base of the rigs!

"Oil stored in the node can be pumped out through the large connector"

how do i get the oil from the electrical connection to an empty tank
Dargino  [author] Aug 19, 2022 @ 4:45pm
I hear tell of a part called the "Large Winch" which can be extended to a whole 150 metres deep. and if that's not enough for you, there's even a "Huge Winch which can do well over 500m.
