no i was talking about the 1887 and the 1901 winchester [again same thing but longer barrel] but the 1895 winchester would also make a good weapon too also nice facts

I think he is talking about the Winchester 1895 by the Soviets? That was in 7.62x54mmR and was used during WW1 and in some forms during WW2. It would be cool though as it is such a weird weapon to be used in a major conflict

sure it did not get adopted in to the army then but the winchester 1901 [which is the same thing but longer barrel] was used though out 1901 to 1920 and the wild west era ended in 1890 and ww1 happened in 1914 [maybe] so it could make a ww1 weapon. Amcar i,m a person who thinks it should be on time NOT military service.

That thing is the ejector port cover, which is unique of these BAR models and works like a pivot (in the draw animation you open it)
