A scroll bar would be good but unfortunately the NWN dialog window does not have one.
By clicking on the lines below a list (------ [20]--) you can decrease the size of the list and thus decrease the number of dialog lines. This might help a little bit. The changed sizes are stored but you would have to do that for every list individually.
Added skill points are not lost on level up but they are not skill ranks you can see at level up (or use to meet requirements for feats / prestige classes). Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about it because it's not possible to add skill ranks by script. So instead CCOH adds skill points to the PCs hide (an 'item' equipped by the PC). And as for anything on items you don't see them on level up (and cannot use them for meeting requirements for feats/classes).
The old CCOH 6.3 should still work with the current update,
SingeNS May 8 @ 6:58am
It would have been good if the dialogue window had a scroll bar, as it is it often sinks below my screen when I expand some options and I end up not being able to confirm my choices because I don'd see the prompt.
No, I do not want to shrink my UI, there's a lot of reading in this game and I want to be able to read dialogues without adding strain to my astigmatism.

Also, adding new skills works only until level up. As soon as level up occurs, all the skills added with this tool get removed.

There used to be a simpler alternative to this tool, would it still work with the latest update?

New version 8.53 -> 8.61: CCOH EE now should work with 2da files of any size. Also Horse plugin has better support for custom mounts.
kamiryn  [author] Apr 3 @ 9:25pm
prc 5.0 has some pretty large 2da files. Reading these files causes instruction limit errors in the latest version of NWN EE because you cannot change the runtime instruction limit anymore.
There's a newer version of CCOH EE available at

https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwnee/hakpak/original-hakpak/customize-character-override-hak-extended-edition-ccohee

that should fix the problems with large 2da files. I will upload this version here as well within the next days.
SpaceMuffin Apr 3 @ 6:32am
im getting an error when trying to edit my characters, and cant seem to find the Vm Runtime Limit Instructions setting? I only have the prc 5.0 mod installed, would that be conflicting with the mod?
kamiryn  [author] Mar 27 @ 10:19pm
No problem, unfortunately it's not possible to detect which materials are actually used by the item.
WaffleironMcMulligan Mar 27 @ 5:18pm
@kamiryn I’m an idiot. The problem was that I did not realize that I had the ability to select different materials for the dyeing (leather, cloth, metal) and I had not selected one that would actually change the color of the cloak I was wearing.
WaffleironMcMulligan Mar 27 @ 4:54pm
@kamiryn Unsubscribing and resubscribing changed nothing. Do I need to change something in the game settings?
WaffleironMcMulligan Mar 25 @ 12:51pm
@kamiryn I’m playing the OC (Wailing Death). When I get the chance I’ll try unsubscribing and resubscribing
kamiryn  [author] Mar 25 @ 11:18am
That's strange... unfortunately I don't have an explanation. Maybe unsubscribing and resubscribing will help? Are you playing one of the official campaigns or a custom module?
WaffleironMcMulligan Mar 24 @ 10:56am
Changing models seems to work perfectly fine for me. However, changing dyes does not work for me on anything other than the default clothes my character has. I have tried to change the dye on my Cloak of Protection +1, I have tried to change the dye on my Robes of the Shining Hands +2. Neither have worked.
who, me? Mar 6 @ 6:44am
@kamiryn, manage to fix the head problem, seems to me i had different headmorph packs installed, or i mistakenly deleted my original head pack when i had an issue with the avatar picture earlier in the game. Everything works fine now :D If ain't broke, don't fix it, said older people but yeah :D
kamiryn  [author] Mar 5 @ 9:22pm
Points in riding do not get you a better or different horse. Ride skill seems useless if the module does not support it. As far as I know even Mounted Combat (which makes use of the ride skill) does not work, if the module does not use the 1.69 OnHeartbeat event script.
who, me? Mar 5 @ 9:20pm
Kamyrin, i started with custom head, yeah. Can't give him nothing new, i tried customizing her with all the options, but it's nothing game breaking as i said, don't worry, just wanted to ask if somebody else had it, probably my fault because i installed different version of CCOH not EE first, then uninstaled then installed this version. Haven't played NWN with mods before, but i'm used to breaking my games when modding :D The customisation options are truly amazing for such a old game. I'm having a blast anyway, thank you for your work! Is there a Hood-types of helmets, i saw someone mention hoods, but can't find them in the menus?
Hardnailz Mar 5 @ 9:46am
Does the riding skill effect the horse when you select one out of the menu?
kamiryn  [author] Mar 3 @ 12:13pm
Never had something like that happen (but my usual helmet modification is hiding :D). Are you sure, your char had a (visible) head before modifying the helmet? Was it one of the default heads or a custom one? Can you give your char a new head (don't use next/prev, select a head by number instead)?
who, me? Mar 2 @ 10:53am
I have a very annoying problem, i customized a helmet, and now when i remove it, the entire toon head is missing. It's nothing game breaking, but the "restore original head" option isn't working, or even returning the helmet to the original model, i also tried to change the head from the other menu options, but nothing works. If someone have an idea how to fix it, please respond :)
✠Wagner✠ Jan 11 @ 11:04pm
@kamiryn No problem. Yes that was me. Thanks for the help. I just removed the silvery bugged gear and its ok now. My toon just have to look vanilla in that adventure. Not a big deal
kamiryn  [author] Jan 11 @ 11:02pm
Not that I don't want to help but this is not really a problem caused by CCOH, Perhaps you'll get better help if you continue to ask at discord (I guess you're the one who asked the same question there?)
kamiryn  [author] Jan 11 @ 10:54pm
Delete some of your portraits in the portrait folder until you can create a character.
✠Wagner✠ Jan 11 @ 10:38pm
@kamiryn Cant start a new game because the portraits aint working and it crashes
✠Wagner✠ Jan 11 @ 10:29pm
@kamiryn I see now its robes and neck thats bugged for me. It gives me that weird liquid silver effect. I just cleared robes and neck and i´m good. Now my characters look normal, just less cool.
kamiryn  [author] Jan 11 @ 10:28pm
The original form is not stored unfortunately so you cannot reset the gear. Automatically at least.
But what happens when you restart the module with a fresh character? Is the gear also bugged? Or what happens when you start the wailing death prelude?
✠Wagner✠ Jan 11 @ 10:10pm
@kamiryn Something must have been deleted. I have it in my steamapps. Its only that specific gear i´m using thats bugged. The rest is fine. Its a minor bug and all i need to do is to reset the gear to its original form. How?
kamiryn  [author] Jan 11 @ 1:55pm
I started playing the module but I had no issues. Did you have files installed in the ovr directory (..\Beamdog Library\00785\ovr or ..\Steam\steamapps\common\Neverwinter Nights\ovr) that were deleted by the update?
✠Wagner✠ Jan 11 @ 5:45am
@kamiryn community tab
kamiryn  [author] Jan 11 @ 5:43am
Are you playing the Eye of the Beholder 2 (Legend of Darkmoon) from the NWN EE Comunity tab or did you download the module somewhere else?
kamiryn  [author] Jan 11 @ 5:38am
By 'newest update' you mean the latest NWN EE update (89.8193.37-13)?
Are they also bugged if you restart the module with a fresh character?
✠Wagner✠ Jan 11 @ 12:55am
@kamiryn They look like the T-1000 from Judgement day. All silver. Even when i change the dye its still there
kamiryn  [author] Jan 10 @ 11:33pm
What does 'bugged' mean?
✠Wagner✠ Jan 9 @ 10:17pm
My characters are bugged in the eye of the beholder 2 module after the newest update
kamiryn  [author] Nov 21, 2024 @ 12:30pm
I have uploaded a new version 8.53.
It should be compatible with the current development build 8193.37.
Also it contains my henchmen control system (see some screenshots in the picture section) You can find more information in the full download at https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwnee/hakpak/original-hakpak/customize-character-override-hak-extended-edition-ccohee (including a readme describing henchmen control system features).

Raine's World of Greyhawk contains the CEP crafting dialog in its mod file. That means that the CCOH dialog is overwritten by the CEP version. To change this either you have to open the mod file in the toolset and delete the x0_skill_ctrap.dlg file (and restart the module) or you have to put the CCOH version of x0_skill_ctrap.dlg into your NWN development folder (you may have to create the folder unter Documents\Neverwinter Nights as it does not exist normally).
✠Wagner✠ Sep 21, 2024 @ 6:15pm
@kamiryn When i use this in Raines world of Greyhawk singleplayer version i have to roll to make my changes and it always fail and cost me 40k. How do i make it work properly ?
kamiryn  [author] Aug 6, 2024 @ 10:07pm
ACP changes the phenotype to change the fighting style. Also ACP has its own phenotype.2da. If you unsubscribe from ACP while your char uses such a ACP phenotype (fighting style) then your char's phenotype becomes undefined as it does not exist anymore. This causes problems with modifying armor parts because the armor parts also relies on the phenotype.
To switch back to normal fighting style without ACP you have switch back to normal phenotype and that you can to with CCOH (Modify body -> Modify Phenotype).
John Warhammer Aug 5, 2024 @ 4:00am
Update: I found what was causing the issue. If CCOH is installed with ACP, the menu from ACP doesn't seem to offer an option to revert back to the vanilla fighting style. Because of that, I picked a fighting style that wasn't vanilla, but it lacked animations for the weapon I was using, so I ended up with the vanilla animation.

I unsubscribed from ACP, which caused the CCOH scripts that change armor models to break.

To fix the issue, before unsubbing from ACP, you have to somehow revert to vanilla fighting style. I haven't found option to revert back to vanilla fighting style via ACP menu in CCOH, but such option exists in ACP menu when installed without CCOH.

TL;DR: User error.
John Warhammer Aug 4, 2024 @ 11:09pm
The mod was working fine, then I unsubed and resubbed. Modyfing armor stopped working. Whenever I try to change the armor, it defaults armor part model to 0.
Virtualmorpher May 16, 2024 @ 10:45am
Thank you for the help. Cheers.
kamiryn  [author] May 15, 2024 @ 8:45pm
It's not possible to give feats directly to a character. Instead feats are given to a special item equipped by the character. That unfortunately means that only feats from iprp_feats.2da are available. So to make more feats available you have to edit iprp_feats.2da (or install a modified version of that file).
You can get a modified iprp_feats.2da from here: https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/other/patch/iprp-feats
Virtualmorpher May 15, 2024 @ 8:53am
The list for bonus feats seems rather limited. Any chance of getting access to additional bonus feats? Playing the Aielund Saga module and wanted to modify an item to grant the Weapon Focus: Heavy Crossbow feat. Similar with Improved Critical, etc.
kamiryn  [author] Feb 6, 2024 @ 9:30pm
This is because the first parts of Aielund Saga contain (parts of) an older version of CCOH. To fix this either edit the Aielund module file and delete the crafting dialog x0_skill_ctrap.dlg (not possible if you're playing the "Community" version) or (temporarily) put the CCOH EE x0_skill_ctrap.dlg into the \Documents\Neverwinter Nights\development folder (create the folder if it does not exist).

Anyone else have an issue with this working on some custom modules? It runs fine in most but in The Aeland Saga it defaults to another version of the crafting menu
kamiryn  [author] Sep 24, 2023 @ 8:48pm
Have you subscribed to / installed other mods? Try unsubscribing and then re-subscribing. Any other changes to your NWN installation? Module/campaign you're playing yesterday/today?
Sorenishii Sep 24, 2023 @ 10:20am
I have the VRAM script all the way to the right, and this mod was working all day yesterday, and then start the game up today and its not showing up anymore.
Let's Roleplay Jul 20, 2023 @ 2:30pm
Alright. I had used this mod from another site before, and didn't see anything that said to do that. It works now, thanks very much!
kamiryn  [author] Jul 20, 2023 @ 1:50pm
Then you have to increase the instruction limit. See the description above how to do that.
Let's Roleplay Jul 20, 2023 @ 1:46pm
Okay, it says error too many instructions. Again all I have are those two mods, the portrait one and yours here.
kamiryn  [author] Jul 20, 2023 @ 1:25pm
CCOH allows to select portraits from portraits.2da and from portraits folder. That is, usually...

I will install that portrait mod tomorrow and see what happens...
Let's Roleplay Jul 20, 2023 @ 12:41pm
No message at all, it just takes me out of the menu and back to normal. The mod is the Enhanced Player Portrait Pack.

Is your mod also supposed to switch portraits from mods as well or just from the base game?
kamiryn  [author] Jul 20, 2023 @ 11:40am
And what protrait mod have you installed?
