Anyone know a good alternative to this mod? Or something else that increases the variety of skin color? The little I remember from vanilla Rimworld more or less had three different skin colors, which is... not only highly inaccurate to real life, but also just doesn't make sense to me in the setting. Then again this game started with only humans in a sci-fi setting, so I shouldn't be surprised at this point.

I get why this mod was created... if you look, you'll find that theres a mod called "white only" published in 2018 and quietly updated to 1.3

@Xurker I just reread the entire comment section. Not only is it a tiny amount of comments, they're all also pretty tame. No screeching to take down the mod. No threats. You can go to other mod comments of similar racial mods (the all white, all black, all yellow mods) and get way, way more vitriol. What you're seeing here, as what I saw when I posted my comment, was comments not even remotely offensive making off-handed remarks of a mod targeting a minority. If you choose to interpret the comments in bad faith and go through mental acrobatics to describe them as "defensiveness being restructured as offensiveness in order to not be seen as fragile", that's entirely up to you.

I wanted to put some kind of tasteless joke here, had few good ideas... but for my gameplay this mode actually makes a lot of sense. Lately I mostly play on desert-like planets, tribals and pirates mostly, with my colony as Ancients for the vaults - Fallout/Mad Max vibe, you get it. I bet most tribals and pirates on the planet surface doesn't have dermatology degree and don't put sunscreen on often. They would MOSTLY be dark-skinned. That got me thinking. @1trickPwnyta is there a way to generate skin colour based on faction? This would make a lot fo sense. Surface people should be mostly darker, vault dwellers should be pale as son of a flower miller.
