And something remarkable happened here. STABLE. quick load times. and did i mention no crashes. no lags. no remade assets. no "missing next map" error.

That was great! You're not kidding about hard mode, which is what I normally play on. Stepped down to Normal and just scraped through. This is 360-degree combat and you have to keep your wits about you. Joey Bracken's VO was excellent as always.

this remains the single best map on the workshop. The difficulty is just right, the visuals are beautiful, the voice acting is great, and the writing is on point. Seriously, this is the only map I have played so far that actually makes manages to match Russel's dialogue from the base game. You can tell that his lines were written by somebody who actually knows how to write, it's amazing what a difference that can make.

Congrats, Nate! You made two of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever had in HLA. Now go make Half-Life 3 :)

How do you clear your old save slots, polygrove?

@Norm in VR - This is a bug with the base game where your save slots can reach a maximum and any new saves will be deleted. You need to clear some of your old save slots.

I started this game and it's not saving. I can't play because everytime you save the game where you're at, and you stop, when you comeback it takes you back to the beginning stage. What's going on???

This is one of the best mods I have played even though I got to close to tv and smashed it throwing a grenade 😆

The only issue I have is that Russel sometimes speaks over himself. Ignoring that, this is probably the most fun I've had in a mod, possibly ever. I believe I played it with AI enhancement, which made the shotgunners super deadly, but nothing I can't handle. The tight spaces and labyrinth-type layout make this an excellent map, where I can be surprised that people are behind me but still be able to find cover.

In all, very good Map! Well done!

Alright devs, I made it into that glorious door that I found out before anyone else totally. I gotta say for me it wasn't creepy, it was cute. I have an addon on my workshop that replaces that particular thing that was in there with a small model of my dog who passed away on the 11th. So I got to see a bunch of her do that thing you made them do, ya know, no spoilers. And then at the end was extra cute because, ya know what you did.

You're special to us all the same.

This is profoundly great gameplay and I love playing it. It's a well established fighting environment with good pacing and really nice resources all over the place. Although I just want to say to the creators, I am onto your shit. I found three fucking buttons somewhat hidden and when I pressed them, they turned green. There is a secret on this map somewhere, and I will find it.

Okay I just typed this and I saw above that people already found this before me. I no longer feel special.

Broke some sweat playing this. The most intense was waiting for the gun to upgrade while fighting off manhacks with another gun, or healing with one hand while shooting enemies with another. Intense stuff. But the design of the level is great, so you can always just run and loop around enemies when you're getting overwhelmed. A lot of place for tactical gameplay.

Really enjoyed that. Full on fight mode!

This is a clear example of how enthusiasts often create things better than employees. Bravo! A very sweatshop game for people with quick reactions. The second time to go through the courage is not enough

Hell yes! This reminded me of the courtyard battle in the main game, but stretched out and more intense. Really fun. Great example of how you don't need big maps or loads of levels to make a fun, challenging game. Would love to see a V2!

@Inseino This is one of the top 10 hardest maps in the workshop so definitely don't think you suck because you're having trouble. Keep playing progressively harder maps and you will get better. Check my review guide in the workshop and stay away from any 5/5 difficulty maps for now. I think you'll enjoy the experience more that way.

This map made me realise I really suck at this game. Nicely done but will try again when I finally get a good router for my Quest 2. At least now I have a reason to.

Great mod! Died a bunch of times in Normal but worth persevering as there was a sense of progress (not a fan of pure endless-wave games). Just found one issue: I saved the game after operating the console to lower the force field leading to the end area and finished the mod, but when I loaded the savegame later (to look for the easter egg) I found that the end area was now off limits as if the force field was still on, even if visually it wasn't there. I couldn't move past where it was (when it was turned on) and you could see the hands behaving as if its surface was still there.

Awesome wave shooter
The puzzles, sounds, voice acting and level design is extraordinary good.
Most wave shooters put me out of immersion with floating texts like "Round xyz", too much ammo or else.
This is so well integrated along with the scavenging.
I was so into it that I even forgot to upgrade the guns.

@Grant1223 You need to provide a lot more info than that. Computer specs, headset you are using, settings and connection method of the headset, any other addons running, does the crash happen in specific locations or is it random, etc.

I hate wave-based combat, but this was so well-made, I had to love it. Especially when I figured out the safe places to dig in and pick off the baddies one-by-one.

This is challenging for sure! I am loving every minute!
I might have screwed up though :( - I killed a 2nd Mini-Gunner, he dropped a battery. Except I didn't pick it right away. And now I do not see it in that area anymore :( And I am missing just one battery now. Will I have to redo it?
