I found a workaround for the engine that won’t start. First, create a save for the first helicopter. After saving, select another helicopter and save again, overwriting the first save. It’s important to keep the default save name. Then, launch Play, and voilà—the first helicopter now has its engine running and its blades spinning.

(example, i record myself doing one thing, then play as a different unit and record myself doing another thing and on and on)

Hey there. I'm wondering if i am the only one who noticed a mess that crew didn't leave vehicles in demos. It's quite a strange problem in review and probably seriously damages how the rest going on. All crew and passenger won't leave the vehicle in the demo, no matter how they acted in reality. Thank you for your work on A3RR, sir. Your work indeed helps us in reviewing so far. But I have to say it has been bothering me so far. Sincerely looking forward to your reply!

When recorded and played back, the helicopter's missiles fire, but are not visually exhausted. I think it's set to infinity. Can I set this up?

it is way more complex than the unitCapture script as it can save and load using an extension and allows for replaying and compositing of recordings

@battlekeeper thanks a lot. its just so much easier to dress a scene with corpses by placing 0 health units instead of props, at least in large numbers. the ragdoll makes the land uniquely so you dont gotta place them and baby the position of each one.

Not quite sure but I tried on dedicated server with HC and I went and recorded, played a bit, shot some dudes, drove a tank, I pressed stop recording and then load Recording and then play. I see the units that I didn't kill just phase about and tanks floating and what not.

I went into the playback controls and it's just a dark bar and nothing on it, doesn't seem to progress in the recording. Am I doing something wrong? Could ACE be interferring?

Currently the mod does not record vehicle animations however it does record them firing

I tested the tank and helicopter, the tank can move but the tracks do not rotate, the tank‘s cannon can fire but the turret does not rotate and does not record the firing of the machine gun on top of the turret. Helicopters fly in the air, but the propeller blades do not turn. But the helicopter machine gun can fire, and also fire the rockets. I guess all carriers will be so

is there a way to get it to not despawn corpses whenever it goes to playback recorded info? its nice that the props will stay if they are there at recording. would help a lot with the backend of filming if corpses and opfor/blufor assets wouldn't despawn though.

@pilotMan vehicle animations like the blades on a helicopter are not saved

@cupcake Punisher New spawned units should be recorded
It depends on multiple factors but I was able to do a 1 hour recording in testing
Getting in and out of vehicles is recorded

some questions:
new spawned units are recorded aswell while recording is happening?
how long (Estimated) can you record. because ram is pretty limited sometimes.
Getting in and out of vehicles? is that also recorded

It seems that fire and forget missiles fired from fighter aircraft don't properly track, if at all, when replaying a recording. Im using a modded F-18, the helicopter that the missile hits will still crash during the replay as if it was struck, but the missiles itself just flies off in some random direction. Everything else works just fine, the F-18 properly fires its cannon on target and follows the correct path, the only issue im having so far is the one stated above.

Ok! I am working on an ARMA3 film project, so I could use it. I'll let you know here if there are bugs.
