Was working fine for me last I played. The classic phrase "it doesnt work" is usually a sign of user error anyway.

Weird, as far as I know, there hasn't been any new patch recently so it should still be working.
Do you have any more details to provide, such as in which way exactly it is not working @Beast Cowboy?

Anyway, I might be looking into it if it's really a game breaking issue, but CS2 is coming out in one month and will make this mod obsolete.

Oh so this mod actually lets me place those small greenhouse farming growables! Thats amazing! I beleive the older version of this mod didnt include those!

Thanks @StayHungryStayFoolish for the report, I didn't have time yet to check & update this mod according to the newest patch, but I will try to do it this week-end and fix the issue.

But as you said, it's not harmful, it should not have any impact on the game experience.

After Hotels&Retreat DLC there was a new park added to the base game, called Birch Park 01. This has Sunny Beautification which is duplicated if you have Snowfall Assets Everywhere mod. It is not a harmful issue, you can ignore it, but after every loading, you will see an error message popping up: https://ibb.co/PM9Q93j

I must admit I'm having trouble figuring out how to ping you or navigating that discord in general - or I don't have some permission or something. FYI, since I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the error with the mod uninstalled, I just gave up on skipping trees and reinstalled this mod again, and I no longer get the error - so I sort of chose to run with it. 😁

That's interesting... If by "support discord", you mean the official Discord, then I would be happy if you could ping me there and pointing me to the discussion you had, my discord tag is Grimmys#0373.

I will try to find time to investigate it, but I doubt this mod could cause any persistent side-effect... It's just altering the way of loading ressources, it is not supposed to change the state of your game files.

Hello :) I made the mistake of skipping tree prefabs with this mod on, and it broke some winter assets (an error popped up upon loading that some winter assets that had these trees were broken). After chatting to the support discord, I decided to remove it, as I couldn't skip tree prefabs with it on. But after uninstalling, I get an error every time I load the game.

Apologies, this appears to be an issue with District Styles Mod
I did a sub / unsub and it made no difference
As an aside, other problems have started to happen with that Mod

That's suspicious... District Styles Plus is not really a small mod, I would have expect this kind of incompatibility to have been reported sooner (a few persons tested the compatibility of this mod with an activated collection of +100 mods).

@MJKERR Did you try to reset the loading order using LOM?

Anyway, thanks for your report, I'm going to check, maybe it's only something that appeared recently...

New version released: assets restricted to specific climats from Industry DLC are now loaded as well on every other climats.

@BannerShrimp074 that's in fact a bug, I forgot that some farm buildings from Industry DLC were different between Summer & Winter.
I already found the solution, just need to do some refactoring before releasing a new version.

Whenever I change the base theme of my city from winter to temperate (or vice versa) my farm buildings from the industry dlc disappear. I was hoping that setting them to greenhouses would fix the problem but it hasn't. It's annoying having to replace them all when reloading, is there something that I'm missing to fix this or is there another mod that addresses it?

You're welcome, I'm glad this mod is not only useful for me but for other people as well. :)

By the way, I just updated the compatibility of the mod with the newest free patch and DLC: everything should be working fine.
I tested only the compatibility with the free patch on my side because I don't own the latest DLC, but I'm confident with other people having already tested it with "Financial Districts".

Yea, Climate Control still works & the temperature can get below freezing (using one of the colder regions). But it still has its own performance leak they need to fix. Otherwise your going to be restarting the game every 20-40mins as the simulation itself grinds to a halt (Not just the FPS but the actual sim process).

I guess you misunderstood my comment.

I wasn't able to reproduce your issue because I was using "FPS Booster", and even disabled, it seems like it was impacting "Climate Control". But "FPS Booster" fixed the compatibility on their side (that's why you didn't see any update on "Climate Control" side).
So I have been able to use the mod properly, then notice the same issue as you, and make a fix on this mod (i.e. "Snowfall Assets Everywhere").

@ExavierMacbeth good news! Compatibility issue between "FPS Booster" and "Climate Control" has been fix recently so I have been able to reproduce your issue.
I have also been able to fix it.

@ExavierMacbeth I think it would be the best: let "Climate Control" mod be fixed so it would be easier for other mods to be compatible with it.

Also, I feel your pain about updating your in-game mod list: I spent more than one hour removing/replacing all the broken ones in mine to check your report haha.

Guess I will poke you again if someone manages to get the dynamic temperature system working again. So many of the good mods I used to use have died with no replacement... I am down to 8 pages of usable mods from the 20 I used to use :P

@Grimmys: I guess I need to poke the Climate Control modder to get his project working properly first then.

A few hours after your first reply I finally managed to narrow down my performance issues to that mod, so I agree it has some issues that need to be worked out recently (Hadn't played since Green Cities before coming back recently so putting my mod collection back together)... Climate Control works for small cities & low mod counts but it seems to cause a fast growing memory leak that will take out the simulation thread.

As for your alternative... I already knew those worked but thats because your physically changing everything over to the winter tileset. I'll take a look at the "Theme Mixer 2" mod but part of the goal was to have the weather (and the management problems it caused) be dynamic & a bit random.

@ExavierMacbeth sooo update on your question:

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get "Climate Control" to be working at all for me, I was getting too many different issues and this mod is reported as having "Major issues" on Compatibility Report.
I don't think it is worth it to invest more time on fixing the potential incompatibility with it then, sorry.

However, I tried to reproduce your situation with "Environment Changer" mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=611254368) and everything was working fine in my case: snow was covering the roads, correct Snow Plows were dispatched by the Snow Dumps. I understand this mod can be working differently to what you are expecting though (static env. vs dynamic env.).
Another alternative is the combination of "Play It!" and "Theme Mixer 2", but in this case the snow is not covering the road I think.

Odd question for you. Is it possible to make the Snow Dumps actually use Snow Plows?
I am using this + Vehicle Selector + Climate Control on a Temperate map and while the temperature can get down enough to freeze the roads, it seems the Snow Dump dispatches Road Maintenance Trucks (which does nothing for frozen roads) instead of Plows... And Vehicle selector doesn't see any truck options for the building.

@Grimmys, thanks for the efforts you put into the game we love.
I know it's probalby too late for @OneCasualBoi, but an easy way of plopping buildings before milestones are achieved, is by using FindIt mod (which probably every modded gamer uses anyway). It's a "soft" cheat compared to unlocking all and totally avoids additional coding/compatibility issues. You may add this hint to your description, otherwise just ignore.

using it for almost for a month - the only problem i found so far is that i can't change trees (vanted to make different pines) on snowfall assets with BoB (actually i can but after loading a save they back to vanillas)
