@laV8 hey thanks for the feedback. This message means that some error occurred. To see the actual error, you have to be in debug mode (-debug launch option) and check the debug console when that happens. This is not ideal, so I'll make it easier to find the error message in a future update.

Hi, I kept getting "I couldn't create these notes" when trying to jot down annotation. My friend could share his annotation with I couldn't even put down mine. The only map mod I am using is extra symbols and map legend.

@Mystake this was a bug fixed last January 19th. You don't need to read the map first. Could you be using an older version of the mod? Maybe as part of a modpack?

Not sure if this is a bug or me being new to PZ, but when picking a new annotated map, I right clicked it and went straight to share annotation but when actually going to the marked house, nothing is spawning. Am I making a mistake by not opening the annotated map first, before using the mod to add it to main map?

just a follow up - it SEEMS like there's no problem using it with the shared faction map mod.
I've got a bunch of the Symbols Mod, Map Symbol Size Slider (though as per instruction on Faction we don't use it on faction map only on personal map) and then this + draw on map, and it seems to work fine.
Guess just have to worry about using the drawing feature too liberally to avoid the corruption chance.

Mod works great in B42, however, is there a way to hide the extra notes on the top left when viewing the map?

If I remove by clicking on the X, it'll remove the annotated on the map. It also gives an error. I just wish to hide it.

@marshmallow justice probably? it's impossible for modders to test compat with all other mods, so we rely on players to let us know if there's an issue

being able to add Annotated maps that you find is so good. I pick up the annotated maps, but it's a feature I never really care to follow up with since often they are leading to places ages away, and I'm not gonna carry a bunch of maps on me. Merging them into the player map is so amazing.

also TIL about the byte limit. I guess I have to remove 'Draw on Map' just in case then in case it ever happens. Since I doubt i would ever remember when it might happen.

Yes, one of the features of this mod is to "Remember annotations" from annotated maps found in the wild. Right click the annotated map to do it.

I may have misunderstood the mod. Does it have the ability to add the annotated maps picked up in the wild to the player map? it doesn't seem to work that way for me

If somebody makes their annotations on the map, how can that person share that with others ? I cant really find out how this work in the game, any help is appreciated

It works! I had to unsubscribe from the mod. What I did was in workshop unsubbed from the mod, let it uninstall, then resubbed and let it install. Went into the game and went to load game, mods, and made sure the mod was installed and activated for that save still. I Used the brochure again and it took me to the university in LV this time. So all good! Thank you!! :steamhearteyes:

So if anyone else has issues try un-subbing from the mod and re-subbing, let everything install and then go back into the game. Doing that fixed it for me.

I just tried looking at a brochure for LV state Uni and it didn't take me to the area. It just showed the map where I am. :Hearthian_Cry: Haven't tried the fliers yet.

I understand that you must have time to fix the mod, and I appreciate that it is back, the only thing that bothers me (the only bad thing I have found) is that it removes the option to open the leaflet map and it shows you the location of the leaflet, now I open leaflets but I don't know where the location is, I hope you can fix it soon, it's the only thing that I find inconvenient.

I'm trying to space out updates to fix many things at once instead of putting out many small updates. Reason is that I'm limited on time and updates can be disruptive to players in some cases. It should be out by end of next week though :spiffo:

EDI: Decided to test this myself. As of Jan 23, 2025, With this mod enabled and clicking on the map icon when looking at fliers(to see exactly where the location is on your map), it shows the area you are currently at or last looked at. It doesn't take you do the area the flier had revealed. I know this mod is causing it because this started happening after I enabled this mod to see if it works. The remembering annotations thing works perfectly, but the fliers are a problem it would seem.


So it definitely seems map mods and B42 are still wonky lol. Ah well, going to disable for now. I will stay checking this mod to see if any updates have been made to fix this issue. One of the best mods, even in single player!

I used this in B41 because I love the feature of being able to remember annotations without having to find them on your map yourself and write them down yourself lol Does this work with B42? There is a map mod by Braven that shows where you are on the map and it breaks the map when using fliers. So there seem to be issues with map mods in general lol

So I just want to make sure before I enable this mod again. TIA :steamhappy: Best mod btw. When i used in B41 it was in my top 20 Must Have mods for PZ.

@belette yeah i disabled this mod temporarily and its still broken. it seems like it just started clashing with another mod at the same time will have ti investigate which mod messes with AMMS

It's definitely a bug on my end, only in the B42 version of this mod.
The conflicting mod is 4ColorBicPenB42 so you can choose to disable either.
I'll fix it in the next update.

@Insane Hexe, AMMS and Share Annotations work fine together for me. The only change compared to the previous version (Nov 23, 2023) is one line of code to make sure Annotated Maps buildings are properly initialized with loot when doing "Remember annotations" on an Annotated Map. So it sounds like your issue is unrelated to the new version of the mod. Would need more info

since the update AMMS is unusable and already placed icons have missing textures. could this be a problem with this mod? it happend right after the last update of this mod and this mod only (B41)

@Zhu Oh I didn't know B42 introduced fliers, that's cool. Thank you for the report! I was able to reproduce the issue, I'll fix it in the next update.

There seems to be a bug with flyers when this mod is enabled. When you read a flyer and click on the map icon to show you the location, the location is always the last location you were viewing on your map instead of the flyer one.
Disabled this mod to check if that fixes it and it did. Hope you are able to find a fix, cheers!

Great to hear you're working on the update. They've added more annotated maps regarding the new locations, and annotated maps are now cropped so they'd be harder to pinpoint from your map. Hope those won't be an issue for this mod.
