Hi Infrared, I still play this game A LOT and love this mod and the way it affects the ED. I'd like to try my hand at taking it over and continuing the work you've done with other departments. Would you be open to sharing your methods with me? This would actually be my first ever attempt at modding! :-)

first of all get better soon and real life comes first.

Second and this is just my opinion, leave the mod up as it does not harm anyone and might inspire someone to continue it or even make their own mod.

Here's an update sort of:

For about half a year now I've been out of an important medication that let's me function as a normal person. I've had trouble motivating myself to just get out of bed, let alone do the massive amount of reading necessary for this mod. Between classes, other projects, and my sanity, I'm not sure I'll have much energy left to put into this mod.

So what to do? I'm very much not happy with the incomplete state of this mod. I'm considering taking it down, though I'm worried about messing up people's saves. I'd appreciate any opinions or advice on what to do with this mod.

It is compatible, however I have not changed anything in the traumatology department. I'm struggling to find time to work on general surgery, I don't know when I'll get to the dlc departments, which is a little sad because errors in the infectious disease department is what prompted me to make this mod in the first place.

is this compatible with dlc "traumatology" ?

Just opened the google docs with all my changes for the first time in months. I'd like to get back to this mod. I won't have the time I did before school started, but I think I can put in a little work here and there.

Sorry I've been inactive. To be honest, I haven't worked on this mod at all this month. My mental health has been in a very bad state. Things are improving and I hope to get back to work soon.

I've only just got the game and this mod has caught my eye - Infrared, don't sweat the motivation, and definitely don't force it because that's the best way to burn out. This sounds like an exciting change to the game though, so well done on your hard work so far :)

Sorry the update isn't out yet. There was about two weeks there when I didn't even touch the mod. I'm trying to motivate myself more, it's just such a tedious process.

It should be compatible with mods that add new diagnoses, but not mods that overwrite existing ones such as Butch's realistic collapses.

Is this compatible with modded diagnosies? Like hypochondriacs or butch's mods?

@TheGreatEmperors it should take effect, just regarding the fact that this should edit the main database of diagnoses and treatments, which all saves still rely on. It may not work instantly, but once old patients cycle through with their diags and treatments, it should work. Theoretically, it might make the save glitch, but a lot of mods can do that.

The mod changes the diagnoses and some symptoms. It will likely interfere with any other mod that does the same, such as Butch's realistic collapses.

Part 1: Emergency is now up! I've been thinking about this mod for a year and finally got around to making it in the last few months. To keep me encouraged to work on it, I'll be releasing it in parts, updating it each time I finish another department. Updates may take a while since I have over 300 diagnoses to research, so please be patient. I'll get to your favorite department eventually.

As this is my first time modding a game, I'm a bit scared about how it'll turn out. I'll try to check this page as often as I can to keep in touch with any feedback you give.
