It turns off quickly because it has a minimum charge, and the pump works because, due to my mistake, it did not require energy.
I'll upload a patch, give the drone a full charge and fix the pump.

In order for the drone to start charging, you need to turn it on while it is docked.
The charge indicator is a few small lamps in a vertical column, a large horizontal one is an on/off indicator.
Unfortunately, I'm unlikely to change the layout, let it remain as it is. If you really need it, you can change it in the editor.

Yes, absolutely. As you can see on this video the bot is charged and can move up and down allright and it's fully charged, but can't move left or right after the initial 30 seconds or so. Also, I would suggest adding a door from captain's quarters to the cargo and expanding it into cargo a bit, there is quite some unused space behind it that can accomodate a bunk for example for some additional roleplay aspect, as well as adding some invisible lamps on the glass to emulate light shining trough it. Its charge indicator is located directly on the terminal, the lamps from red to green.
Maybe it wasn't fully charged?

I have a feeling it's a bit bugged. After some very limited amount of navigating it, like minute or two, not 7, it's stopped reacting to left or right inputs.

@GVLT Nope, the drone can only be recharged while docked and powered on. This is an intentional limitation of its range and duration.

Cool looking sub. Looks like diving racks on top level and oxygen tanks are not powered. it would be cool to have a captain's chair

You can extract shuttle files with this tool:

Just put the submarine file in there and choose to export the file from the list.

Would you kindly please post the file for the Dolphin drone as well? While it does somehow show up in game, there is weirdly no included local file for it, I would like to try to modify it a bit for my own game, if it's no trouble.

Also, what is the top-right console in the cockpit for? It seems to be "Shuttle Navigation Terminal" but isn't really wired?

Hey.
Unfortunately the reactor can't be connected to a lever that would turn it on or off, this is only available from its interface.
The charge indicator is inverted to indicate that power is not available while charging mode is on, and the junction box lights will also light up when you turn it off, along with a green indicator to indicate that power is available again.
Dunno, maybe when I finish the next boat I will update a couple of the previous ones. Cheers

Another fantastic sub from you! Just wish the reactor controls were a bit more intuitive. Maybe making lever on it control on/off state of the reactor and making corresponding indicator light a bit more intuitive? Like yellow for standby/off and pulsing green for charging?

I purposely made it slightly uncomfortable to give the appearance that it is slightly larger than it really is. So, because of this I indicated at least 5 crew members :)

Love the concept, all your subs have a very unique aesthetic that's just so perfect, but I feel like the interior lay-out could be slightly less chaotic on this build?

It's a bit larger than most, and I'm not afraid of a lil' chaos, but some of the room-use transitions are a bit more than 'unintuitive'??

If you're up for a bit of re-jumblin' that is, I know thats what I ultimately spend the most time on personally haha

- Reduced engine consumption by a third.

Угу, я специально не стал закрывать эти прозрачные хвостовые штуки, пусть считается что там окна.
Знаю что проблемы с зарядом, но там большие числа в характеристиках оборудования и тем самым проценты с апгрейда неплохо дают. Можно, конечно, у реактора подрезать прожорливость немного..
А стульев нема потому что сидя на них нельзя ничего использовать!

Еще одна потрясающая работа. Я заметил проблему с корпусом - через Tail Fin Old A можно видеть насквозь (например, в заднем балласте). Как я понял, полного заряда батарей хватает на 10-15 минут, а при полной нагрузке возможно и меньше. Мое мнение - маловато, учитывая что люди могут находиться на уровне около часа или больше. Хотя, если улучшать лодку, может все исправится в лучшую сторону, но у новичков в начале стержни будут улетать за минуту, и игра превратится в погоню за временем). Ну и напоследок - на подлодке нет ни одного стула :steamsad:

So, I updated it. Changed the container for the one in the engine room too.
Hmm, centrally aligned for the Label is fine, as it should be, so I just increased the size a bit to make sure I didn't break the line, that should work.

The problem was that the text became two lines instead of one, as in

Auto
Doors

and so the Doors was no longer in the right place. Now that I think about it, it may be an issue on my end—I've noticed that the text on my labels at some point became centrally aligned rather than left aligned. If it looks right for you then all's well.

Oh, I didn't quite understand what happened to the Auto Doors text, everything is exactly as in the screenshot and the sprite depth is correct.
The size of the steel cabinet in the gunnery was chosen for balance purposes, although a large one would fit much better. Might be worth replacing it.
And the emergency lamps are actually the same color, I just deliberately moved their sprite behind the background so that they don't stand out, otherwise it hurts the eyes hehe

This looks fantastic! Lots of great visual ideas, especially your fin piece arrangements (the drone is immaculate). The hexagons in airlock access are a really neat effect as well.

I noticed some small things while looking around that appeared as though they may not have been intentional, but feel free to ignore me if they are:

-The "Auto Doors" text goes off the nav terminal.
-The storage at the right of the gunnery compartment is a medium steel cabinet, which is different from that of the stowage compartment.
-In airlock access, there are two vertically oriented emergency lights that are smaller and of a different color than the rest.

Hmm, strange that the dolphin file was not included in the mod folder.
Okay, then you can just use the "Barotrauma Submarine Tools" resource at this link:
https://ignis05.github.io/baro-sub-tools/
Just put the submarine file there and it will allow you to extract any attached files from it.
Then just open the editor and drag and drop the extracted file directly into the editor window to load it.
