Did you ever make the new version? This is easily the most accurate map of Westeros on the entire workshop imo, great work!

I will be uploading a new version of the map in a few days with some map corrections and lore additions like Hag's Mire. I encourage anyone who knows their lore to let me know if I missed any areas that are touched on in the lore. If any of you are playing a game on the map I'm not sure if the update will break the save so I'd hurry up and conquer all of Westeros if I were you!

@Vaporized I haven't heard of that problem from anyone else but it could be an age old problem with the Civ 5 workshop where the mod just doesnt download into the mod folder. If you can download the mod you can try manually dragging the .Civ5map file from this mod into the "Maps" folder in your "My Games" Civ 5 folder

That's great to hear !! Yes it could definitely work! I think there's 2 possibilities for such a map : First, maybe just Westeros, and " Western Essos ', ending at Qarth and the Bone mountains, so that it contains all of the free cities, and maybe a bit of Sothoryos and the Summer Isles.
Second, if you really wanna do the greatest thing ever, the whole of Essos, to Asshai. With Yi-TI and all of the mysteries of Eastern Essos, with your mapping skills, it could be absolutely amazing. Would be a big amount of work tho probably. Loads of cool stuff and easter eggs could be made in these areas and near Asshai.
As for a scenario, oh man, it could be just incredible!
I'm playing your map with all ASOIAF Factions and gameplay mods possible, and using Ingame Editor to place them at the right places. ( Even the Children of the Forest and the White Walkers in the far north ! )

Hey glad you like it! I've been considering making a map with Essos and Westeros but still havent gotten around to it.
As for your suggestion of making a map with a relatively smaller Westeros and a full sized Essos i really like it as i do think Essos has more bio diversity and interesting regions
I suppose if i find the time i could shrink the size of Westeros in the original image and then lay the hex grid over it so the proportions stay somewhat the same and the map stays recognizable. Just need to find the time to get around to it.
Ill also update this page in a couple days as i have a newer version of this map that removes a city state start on tarth that was leftover from a scenario i made and adds some missing floodplains to a river in dorne. Both arent anything major so i havent uploaded it

Hey dude! You have created the most amazing Westeros map EVER! Congratulations, you have done an AMAZING job! I myself created a full AsoIaF map on CIV 4, from the lands of Always Winter to Asshai.
By looking at how insanely amazing your map is, you have to create an entire world of AsoIaF map dude. With a smaller Westeros ( still fairly big ofc), and a giant, complete Essos.
It would be absolutely incredible.
I'd love to talk on Discord about ideas if you'd like. I will meanwhile test your map with some custom mod factions to play on your map.
