Using the original methodology and tools, while monitoring the Warhammer3.exe I do not see the game paging the same resources in non-existent directories as I did in the pre-1.3 version of the game. There may be some other optimization issue at play, but I don't currently have the tools, skills, or knowledge to diagnose or "fix" it.
Now I have an 4070 ti but I still remember where I came from.. I will forever honor you
The reason I've not done that yet is because subscribers who have campaign saves while using this mod may run into issues loading their Realms of Chaos campaign saves if this mod is suddenly deleted, which I've 100% seen happen with other mods in the past. I just don't want to be blamed for nuking people's saves. By the time IE/CoC drop, I expect most players wont even bother with Realms of Chaos anymore, so fair warning to everyone.
There's an issue with the virtual file system that's mitigated by having your pack files directly in the local warhammer 3 data folder instead of the workshop folders. Was able to replicate the performance hit simply by using empty mods loaded to the workshop, where I measured a 50% reduction in framerate simply by using 30 empty workshop mods.
