Hey LuisB! Thanks for your latest update. Even with it, my dedicated server continued crashing. Still, I managed to find a workaround after googling a bit, and it works for your track as well: For some reason, some tracks just can't generate CBASH files correctly when started through dedicated server. So I copied both Long Beach files from CBASH folder(UserData/Logs/CBash) from my local machine where I'm able to enter the track and drive it, and uploaded to my server machine. Then, I added these files into CBash from my rf2Dedicated installation. And that was it, working now!!!

Sorry I mean you open the scn (with a notepad) to find the folders to create. The coincident mas are exported to the folders.

Matthauser I guess you want to add pit garages and positions and grid positions in AIW. There are 2 ways 2 install it in the DevMod one manual and other automatically (sometimes this fails).
Automatically you need to have the install tool so go to the ....|\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\365960 and search for Long Beach you will find \Long_Beach_2.35.rfcmp right click (presuming you have the install in it) and install it in DEVMOD.
The second way is too go to the Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Locations\Long_Beach\2.35\ and open the Long_Beach.mas with the tool to open MAS in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Support\Tools\MAS2.exe export the SCN file anywhere you want then open the scn and under ...\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\ModDev\Locations create the necessary folders. The next step is to export the mas files to the correct folders (easy just follow the name).

I really hope, that the Version, that LuisB will upload as next, will work for all of you or at least for some more.
I can only say, that it is a more than strange Problem.
Just one Thing: when you try it out, ensure that there only the Version installed that you want to try.
Uninstall all other Versions, that includes also Long Beach Tracks from other Modders.

Like LuisB has said already, we have tested a lot, with the Help of 2 Users, that also had the Server crashing while loading.
We at least could get it working for one of them.
My Problem is, that all 2.2 Versions (the original and all Test Versions) work for me, i have no Problem to start the Steam Command dedicated Server with them.
And when i can not reproduce the Problem, i can not investigate on my own Machine.
And the Trace Files are completely useless, because you can not find just 1 helpful Hint in them.
So i have to package something together, send a new Version to the ones that have the Crashes, wait for the Feedback, adapt the Package.... and so on.
That is very laborious and Time consuming and so i decided to stop with it.

Sorry for the Inconveniences.
The Problem is a strange one.
When i tried to create the Server (Steam Command dedicated Server) with the 2.1 Version on my PC, it crashed too.
Then i've made some Tests and changed some Things and it was loaded.
So i thought, if it loads for me now, it should load for all Others too.
That it doesn't, is really strange.
My current Problem with trying to fix it, is, that i can not fix something that doesn't happen for me.
But i'll continue investigating.

There is no difference. You can use Steam commands and download RF2 to your dedicated server so that it doesn't have to have a Steam account associated with it OR you can run a server on your own PC and use a loopback in order to race from the same PC and have others log in and race with you. My league has a standalone server that all racers log into and race.

ok about the server it loads with the rFactor 2 Dedicated Server that is integrated in the Game, but it doesn't load with the Steam Command Dedicated Server. What server are you (guys) using?

Yes, on the server. When you load any car and Long Beach on to a dedicated server and launch it, it will pause for a few seconds, then you get a message that rFactor 2 is not working.

Is a bit wierd with so many playing it and no ne else have the error. Are you still using an old system of windows, that errors normally comes associated with the system where steam is running.

cybe the "cap end of path segment" in AIW is not an option for Long Beach since there is not a second path for instance of the pitlane, as far as I know that is only suit for it. I may be wrong and please correct me if I am, you or anyone that can exolain that. Thanks.

Was the same Problem with this track, dedi crashed at startup. They fixed it like described in the linked post.

Hello Henri4 that will be a bit unusual to hang around the track lights just for the cars, that have no lights, to race. I don't think the track is used at night, maybe it is for the cars with lighting system, not sure of that, since it is a non permanent circuit but that can happens in the racing period that they open the track. Imo I don't think it will bring any reality. I can go with some lights where there are lamps but that will not solve the problem.

The dedicated just crashes (closes without saying anything).

Hi LuisB, Love the track - so thankful we finally have a good version. It rivals The PC2 version and the track is even better. However, it is rather dark at night. It would be so great if some of the track side object lights could be turned on at night.

I guess the update was done sometime ago from Manfredk2kpr. I believe it's the best we can do the main thing sometimes it's not the AIW the performance deppends of the car physics. My experience trying different cars for the same AIW is that some cars I can't beat them and others they can be beaten. In the case of excellent players I always say to go for 120% in the AI, it's nothing new but some cars physics and AI performance set are a little low, I strongly believe that they should be reviewed.

I'm having the same issue with 2.0 unable to start dedicated server. I really appreciate your work on this. Hopefully you can update the crowds/stands textures at some point with S397 assets. That would be a big improvement in visuals IMO.
