as far as i know, there is no way to open ndfbin in a readable manner. but i could be wrong and somebody has made an editor for them already now. i am sorry, i cant help you really in that case

C:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1611600\2803241691\Gen\AllPlatforms\NDF\GFX

the id for other modversions is shown a top under the steam shop button in the browser and looks like this:

Hey, would it be possible to get Specific.ndf file? I would love to merge this with "all divisions in NATO" mod. As me and my pals LOVE your mod, however some of us would love to play as pact while others as Nato, together

Sure, Shatras! We understand you like to stick to vanilla balance though. Most of our bellyaching is over airborne transport and strange balance decisions (leopard 2's armor stats for example, the east german panzer division being weirdly terrible for a 'category A' deck) which is beyond the scope of your work. The biggest problem warno has is its miserly map pool haha.

BTW we only play on 'Extreme' - so that unit counts are a bit more like wargame red dragon

2 FOBs: Hasn't been a problem in any game. Some times they need to be 'out in the open' but its never resulted in a FOB casualty. My group likes things as they are in terms of the supply system. We like that in a normal game your guaranteed not to run out of supply at fobs, but that the logi system isnt 'solved' because you need to manage supply lines- unless you abuse artillery, in which case FOB's will in fact run dry. We also love that every deck gets FOB's, that was a huge selling point for this mod in general. I think the AI only spawns 1 per player, but i may be wrong about this- in any case the AI seems to make use of them fine. No problems.

hey Kel'Thuzad ! thanks for your support! yeah, thats sadly a difficult topic for me ;) i had always my problems with additional helicopter transportoptions and tried some solutions, but i was dissatisfied with the outcomings so far. and since i have to restart sometimes my mod files from scratch after a new vanilla update hits the ground and makes file & data chaos again and the game is still undergoing some bigger development changes, its much easier to maintain my mod without those changes, especialy if i have not too much time left for working on the mod right now. so this feature is on hold for now, but may return someday ;)
if i may ask, how is the supply situation for you and your friends now? i didnt want that supply gets too obsolete and does still matter enough. i am considering to reduce the FOB availbility to one for all versions, but of course with a higher supply capacity. spawning two FOBS per player in coop/mp could make the starting zone a bit too overcrowded

I noticed that for a little bit there 'airborne' infantry had helicopter transports. That was a really nice feature I and my buddies enjoyed. Will it be restored? We continue to love this mod by the way. Discourse around the friend group has been 'I hope Shatra does X' etc :P

One thing that could help slightly is if you added a small trivial number to supply choppers (like +5 max supply) so they'll always unload into same-size supply vehicles. That's a silly band-aid fix though. Eugen should honestly do this on their end. Feels like a bug.

I figured out my confusion. In Wargame red dragon all helicopter resupply would have unload-priority, meaning they would unload into a larger supply vehicle. Now its strictly based on max supply. Probably not a thing you can fix. Anyway ive been playing this regularly and it rules. Love your work shatras.

its already implemented in vanilla ;) bigger supply trucks can replenish smaller ones. adding complete new units is far off my limited modder skills

Had another idea! Back in wargame 'bigger' supply units (like supply helicopters) could supply smaller supply vehicles (trucks, etc) - can you add this to the logistics system? If so, how hard is it to add a new unit? A 'Rear-Echelon' supply infantry squad (unarmed) would be wonderful to add to decks. I honestly have no idea why the old supply system isnt in this game. Is it just not possible anymore?

hey Kel`Thuzad! thanks for your nice words! there have been some new changes with the last mod update for supplyunits:

FOB/FSBs have 100% more supply capacity. for extreme versions: +1 availbility for FOB/FSB & +100% more supply capacity. for overkill: +1 availbility for FOB/FSB & +400% more supply capacity. for overkill 8x: +1 availbility for FOB/FSB & +800% more supply capacity. all other supplyunits get +100% more supply capacity in all mod versions

i think, that should help a bit in longer battles. infinite ressources is nothing for my taste and i would have to create a complete new modversion, what i dont want to do. so in that point i am sorry.

about more planes at once: it is not planned, but it looks like there is some higher demand than i expected. so maybe that will change too ;)

Hey Shatra, can you greatly increase FOB supplies for Overkill and Overkill-Extreme respectively? More units means they drink more supplies. I also kind of wish we had an optional mod that just gave us infinite supply at FOB's. Thanks for this, your work in steel div is the default way I play the game, I think the same will be true of Warno. Keep it up.

MR_G nope, because they are mostly really minor changes and/or are in testmode and will vanish after a while. (example: heli use now the veteran system for aircrafts (testmode) or some at-infantry get the same transport options as the other ones from the deck) i also prefer ninja changes because if nobody complains, the impact of the change should be mostly balanced. so you have to find the little changes for yourself ;)

if you are not familar with apps like excel, notepad etc or/and dont know anything about programming etc it will be quiet difficult, but not impossible. you will have to bring much patient and endurance, read through forums and just to try many things out. most modders fail during the patch process, the chances that your changes get reverted or your edited files get unusable after vanilla patches and you have to start from the beginning is very high as long as the game is in development

hey myhre_jordan. dont thank to me too soon ;) i am still not really sure if will add an additonal card for the 82 AB, in most cases i will more try to keep most vanilla card & deck settings for my mod. i am stronger considering a little buff for their airforce tab maybe. i would do that for all airborne division ingame. if i add a new card for a divisions it would be for all mod versions except the lite ones

Would you consider 1 small change by just modding in the M198 towed 155MM howitzer to the 82nd AB division? Just like 1 cards worth in a far smaller quantity then the 105MM but for just a bit of CB support? Thanks either way LOVE the mods!

Any chance you could make a mod that makes all nation units available for each division (not all of nato?) ie. airborne division keeps all its usual slots but if its say US and youre doing helicopters you can have green berets, rangers, etc? love your mod btw, my mates and i love it

Great mod, however the availability for the M48A2CGA1and the KANJPZ are much too high. They should be reduced to 16 at the lowest veterancy and 12 to 14 at the highest veterancy.
