I wouldn't have updated the mod if it wasn't fun. Just no longer have passion for making content.
Just can't get myself to make more content.(issues from other mod)
Though vanilla changes like slime and finch staff recipes, same for leather whip, might still be in store for the mod.
Crit overhaul was something I played around with but it's a big code change if I want everything to fit properly and scale CR the correct way(additive stacking with vanilla).

fuck my life, 2 hours of sleep the past 3 days, schedule so busted, but I managed to remember to port and fix the mod.
I would likely not be adding more content unless someone makes a suggestion or request for something specific.
I'm playing other games now.(Cosmoteer is awesome)

I'm really sorry, but I've been mostly away from Terraria for the past very long time.
I'll try to remember and create an updated version, I accidentally broke the original source code because I confused it with my playground environemt.
I can salvage most of the 1.4.4 code from stuff I made for floral fauna, I'll scale down to only the original content so I can release it soon.(maybe tommorow at noon)

I know its been a year, but when are you porting this mod into 1.4.4? I've been kinda struggling in my early pre hm progression of thorium cause I'm unable to acquire a finch staff and there are no early whips besides the leather whip for me to use :/

I personally don't use recipe browser, I ask the guide... like I did for vanilla recipes when I didn't know them.
is it that important to include item costs in the mod page? if so I will include them in the description page naxt time I update the mod(sorry for the wait, I had a ton of work IRL)

The TModLoader example mod have a whip, but you will need to add 3 bits to the whip's code:
the Collide and CutTiles functions are implemented incorrectly(I used ILSpy to get them) and the Tag effect is not scalable and is hard coded in an ugly way IMHO so I rewrote the thing to use a variable I override.
I planned to release the source code when it's something I can be prode of as it's really ugly at the moment but with work and other projects I rarely get time to work on.
I guess the next update will make the source code available.

Hey everyone, I updated today. rewrote a bunch of the code and HOPEFULLY it's not a dud.

next update: I want to add a "summoner" enemy, with minions of its own(Sapphire watchers at first, maybe something better later on) and get to practice a bit more on NPC/Mob coding.

Yes Cpc, top tier mod development right there, in order for your mod to work well you need to rely on another mod instead of just taking the ten seconds it would take to just post some basic information regarding crafting the items. Makes sense.

Sooo... How much of each item do you need in order to craft any of these things, do you craft it at a bench, furnace, hands..etc? Don't see it listed literally anywhere. Am I just mining until I randomly get enough stuff to craft the Sapphire staff or anything else or...?

can u add a summon that works the same way as the desert tiger staff but its post moon lord ? (re-color the desert tiger to be blue-ish and 50% (1.5x) bigger than the actual desert tiger ?

May I suggest a fix to the tamer's gauntlet? It is currently "White" rarity which feels out of place for a hardmode item.
I forgot but I think that's the only item "missing" a rarity.
