Hey this looks amazing. Can the player at will order planes to launch and land? That would be cool to at will launch planes and send them off on strike missions etc and then order them to land after mission complete

This mission cannot be played in multiplayer mode and cannot board the plane.

As an american id like to see an enemy version of this. Preferably a Global Power nation like Russia, China,North Korea, ect. Preferably Russia since most mods involve russia for what ever reason even though they are quite obsolete as a nation in terms of military presence.

Is there anyway to get this working in a co-op setting? I boot it up but planes don't want to land or I can't even take off. Works flawless in Single player and its an awesome experience!

Genius, your module is simply a great project. I really like the AI ​​self-discipline behavior of the aircraft carrier. I can only imagine how much effort and enthusiasm you put behind it. Also, I would like to ask if this great project can be added to it. Is it possible in KP Liberation? My friends and I are keen on this mod and I have incorporated many scripts into it and wanted to ask if you could let me add it in? And if it can run in KP Liberation?

Currently SAR cannot be disabled as it's a crucial part of the carrier operations system. But I will add this feature ? In the next update.

@Rickoshay - There is one more thing I would like to ask. I'm trying to insert a ground team off the stern by a boat in the water. However, when they get in the water it teleports them back up. How would I disable that if possible?

@SurfSnyper - yes most likely. Amazing how shallow most of the seas are in A3 modded maps. Not sure why shallow seas affect AI plane landings.

Amazing work! I've one into one small issue where an aircraft on approach to land will be looking good until about 80 meters away. Then it will throttle and pull away. It will then repeat this cycle. The map I'm using is Thirsk and it has a too shallow of a sea. Is this a result of that?

i think i figured it out and can play it only on scenarios now, can i edit the mission and move the carrier crew to another ship like the nimitz?

@Kaydee - send me a friend request - and I'll help you. The carrier is completely automated handling AI and player launch landing and deck rotation and parking. It only works with planes that have a wotking tailhook. So you'll need one of the mods listed at the top of this mod page.

If low fps try turning your gfx settings down and reducing number of air units and total units simulated. If your fps is high you can increase the view distance in your A3 gfx settings.

@comicalzinc5 - the UCAV Sentinel will be fully supported in next update - hopefully later this week. The drone can takeoff and land and park automatically.

Do the takeoff and landing scripts also work for the stealth drone? In the info you only see examples for aircraft. btw Great Carrier

@fenrirFireStar - yes have a look in the scripts folder - you'll see a script that handles the crew anims - you will have to take code snippets that you need. It's a complex process synching anim timing in MP with the plane on a catapult - there will always be players who just ignore the carrier rules and just take off wherever and whenever they like or accidentally accelerate too much and can't stop or align the plane to the cat position.

Holy crap! this is amazing! i am wondering though, would there be a way were i can take the animations a deck crew Animations and just sink it up with triggers, and forgo the whole automated launch system and such, have the deck Crew animations still work and everything just using Trigger gates, im trying to put together a mission for a cold war server and im trying to avoid pushing the server to much, but still give a good sense of realism,

@Hoplite - the decal size is baaed on object scaling from 0 to x based on the total number of decals needed to cover the deck and the overall level of realism of the effect. The mid sized decal works best when rotated randomly and then scaled. The fps impact is about the same. Your visibility issue is weird I'd suggest reinstalling the demo and testing again without mods. I suspect the carrier ASL position might have been very slightly adjusted.

Hello, I was testing the demo and this is a great piece of work.
I ran into a strange bug though.

When it rains, water spills spawn on the deck, but I can only see them from afar.
So I see them when I look from far away with the zeus camera. But when I come near, they disapear.
The result is that I can't see the water effect when I'm walking on the deck, even if it is actually wet.

Do you know that bug and how to solve it ?

Also, I see you spawn medium water spills decals to get the wet effect and I was curious why you did'nt use the large ones. Wouldn't they be more performance friendly ? You would need less of them to cover the same area (maybe ?).

The EA 6 Prowler has a working tailhook and it worked fine if i use the Prowler and the Carrier only in a different scenario. But maybe this one of the few Planes with a tailhook that doenst work.

Thanks for the quick respond. I found the mistake myself and i was just kind of stupid. I thought that almost every Carrier compatible plane should work. So beside the F14 (works fine) i used the EA 6 Prowler (also by FIR). Without the Prowler it worked fine.

@December's Fire - ok suggest - do the following - copy the ROS_Carrier_Demo.Alitis demo file from the DB link above. Unpack zip and place into your mission folder C:\Users\<yourname>\Documents\Arma 3\missions\ Then load into the editor - preview and then use Zeus to replace the planes on the deck. Place over the yellow markers (hidden when mission starts). Rotate planes so they face forward and towards the center of the carrier. Then test.

Hey Rickoshay, first of all: thanks for this great script. I've played the Showcase Mission in SP and it worked perfectly.

Now i wanted to use the Scripts in my own mission. To test i unpacked your Pbo and opened your original mission in the edtior.

I ONLY changed the planes (From Black Wasp to FIR F18) and i always stuck in the loading screen. I dont changed any positions, names or anything else. Only the type of plane. Any ideas ?
