@Zhelgast its good to leave mods up because people might be using it in their older campaigns, and if it disappears so does their save.

Can I ask why it wouldn't be possible? Genuinely curious as the functionality is already in the game, it seems strange to not be able to use it.

Hey dude - even though this mod is no longer needed I want to thank you so much for making it. Modders have time and time again made the game better in various ways and this was just another example. You kick ass.

@invokeVoid I didn't intend to do one in the first place to be honest, I mentionned it would be "for another mod" but I didn't say I'd do it myself.

... the Base game already allows you to do this very thing? my first Slaaneshi Playthorugh I vassalized the Court of Winter at turn 80 in this way, before mods were even allowed for the game..

@mask It was active on the launcher. But yeah, I removed the -dx11 from launch options and it fixed the problem.

@valhalls : make sure you have the mod enabled in the CA launcher (downloading the mod isn't enough). Also make sure you didn't activate any launch options on steam (direct 11, windows mode etc.)

So I have maxed out Ice Court seductive influence, but I can't vassalise the faction. The button and the UI is there in the diplomacy screen, but the vassalise button is greyed out for it. Any ideas why this might be? Spent 100 turns with the aim to vassalise Ice Court and now feel like done it for nothing when could've done a different faction.

report: I test utill 200turns, and I find ai slaanesh vassalize kislev ,by the way kislev ranks NO.1 and owns more than 60 cities. so I think it is amazing.

I didn't disable the portals, I just made them not spawn enemies and made it so the cpu has to get to 20,000,000 strength to win, in other words they can't. So I get to enter the portals at my leisure.

@Ice Wolf : I actually have no idea, I always disable the rifts but I think they should still be able to participate in the souls race.

I have rusted package file manager, could you perhaps if you know where put in a comment where we can find this in the lua files? So for those of us on Linux that must use launch options, we can still have this?

@LWH I don't think the AI can use the mechanic at all, and even if it could, it would never reach enough seductive influence since it doesn't really use cults, and the major order factions tend to have a lot of settlements, granting them high resistance.

@CoBr2 oh yes indeed, I forgot about that, you have to remove the -dx11 you'd put in launch options for example otherwise the mods indeed don't work.

@Mask, you're right, I didn't see that mouseover tooltip, kind of annoying that you'll only see that after you've put in all the effort.

No other mods and sorry, should have been more clear, I'm showing "1 turn until allowed" then ending turn and trying the next turn to vassalize, then tried next turn as well and it also didn't work. No idea why it doesn't like me, but it sounds like it works for everyone else so there's clearly something up with my computer/settings. I'm gonna try and download some other mods to see if they work.

(And to be fair to CA there, it is written on the tooltip that you can only vassalize non playable factions (when you mouseover the last quarter of the domination circle bar). But I felt like this distinction wasn't relevant as the player is already limited to humans, elfs and beastmen, the last 2 being barely present on the wh3 map and the minor human factions being quickly either destroyed or confederated made the mechanic near useless.)

@CoBr2 the "1 turn until vassalization is allowed" is because you dominated another factions 9 turns ago isn't it ? If so waiting the extra turn would work indeed because this mod doesn't remove the 10 turns cooldown between force vassalizations.

(If that still doesn't work, were you using mods before the workshop went live ? (like mods you would've found on the modding discord for example). Those are movie packs that needed to be removed when the workshop dropped, otherwise it could cause issues. Other than that, I don't see why this mod wouldn't work.

@Mask yeah, I enabled the mod, even tried removing and re-downloading. I'm trying exactly after turn 10 though (my current save file is "1 turn until vassalization is allowed") so maybe that's it? I'm also currently at war with them, but can try and jump to the next turn and see if that helps.

Regardless, I appreciate mod even if ti doesn't work for me. I can't believe they let certain factions be immune to being vassalized without saying that anywhere in the ability.

@CoBr2 That's weird. It definitely works with older saves, it even works for me on an old save from before the new patch.
Did you make sure you enabled the mod on CA's launcher ? Downloading the mod isn't enough by itself.

@SirPancake I don't plan to remove the cooldown on Domination for now as I think this mod already makes it too easy.
I dominated the ice court (who had confederated the great orthodoxy), yet I barely even fought them (and they were stronger than I was). You can really set things up for a domination quite fast if you use the cults (and spawn more cultists) along with the gifts of slaanesh from said cultists.

I'll even release a second mod that increases all the factions' resistance depending on the number of settlements they own (from 1 to 2 per settlement) to make the mod a bit more balanced (Since playable factions are more likely to have a lot of settlements)
I'll still keep this mod in the workshop so people have the choice between the two.

I love the idea of the mod, but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I can't vassalize The Ice Court/Kislev. You said it should work for ongoing campaigns right? Any settings you think might be messing with it? This is my only mod atm.

Thank you very much for this mod, I found it deeply disappointing that playable factions were basically given immunity to Slaaneshi dickery (because let's face it, no matter what you do, you'll never, ever make peace with Kislev). After putting in the work, I Dominated Kislev, and boy is it hilarious (about as much as vassalizing Ku'gath some 10-15 turns prior; imagine my surprise).

Just one small thing: could you also remove the cooldown on Domination? Maxing the meter out takes long enough, an extra 10 turn speedbump feels unnecessary.

oh thank you ! Was hoping someone would make a mod like this. Really hated how that mechanic seem to fall off mid to late game with nothing to gain from it.

@Channa I don't think that would be possible without straight up removing the aversion chaos factions have for order factions, which wouldn't really make sense.
That would be a mod that changes diplomacy, but I have no plan on making one for now. But there should be mods for it eventually, I remember seeing mods removing aversion in the previous games.
