Anyone know the names of similar mods to this (like Faces of Attila) that I can use alongside this?? I want to add them to my reskins collections for others to use

Oh right, I forgot the iberian-illyrian tribes issue...they look more civilised now lol. Would you consider finishing your follow up mod? Your solution to it sounds pretty cool
But anyways, thanks for all your work, great mod!

Hi Sanakan - Iberian and Illyrian units also use the Greek skins in Rome II, and I feel the Roman skins don't work as well there...I was working on a follow-up to this that would have similar-but-slightly-different looking skins for Greeks / Iberians / Illyrians, but I never got around to finishing it. Either way, feel free to make any adjustments that you'd like and that you think look good!

Hey D0tDash, I modified your mod just for personal use to make the greeks use the same complexion as the romans in your mod. Do you think the Attila skins fit the hellenic troops as well? I think it kinda fits

compatible with Para Bellum?

I don't know why people freak out over accuracy for mods, these are usually made for specific kinds of people. Some sacrifice the "color" correctness for less ugly models. I like this mod.

the mod said that it bought Attila's head model to Rome 2. And these are the Roman_skins in Attila. It's nothing about the skin color.

(seems to me that they use the same complexion for the Western and the Eastern empire, and since the development revolved around the Eastern empire, either way, just because it's in the game doesn't mean it's correct, you yourself are "correcting" the game with the unrealistic complexions)

(Tell me you've never played Attila without saying you've never played Attila)

So.. What your mode does is that it replaces Italians with northern Germans, Celts and Slavs? I mean sure, it's not a mode for me, so why am I not just ignoring it.. But dude, the HBO TV Show (from which you are I think inspired) is American and the actors are mostly British or American (which is mostly pretty much the same)

Also, Roman soldiers served from 16-17 years old to something between 40-50, and even when their empire stretched across the Mediterranean, the bulk of the army was still Italian, recruited mostly in northern Italy (yes, it's north, but they were still a little brown)

Don't take it negatively, I just think that if you like Rome as much as you seem to, you could find this intel useful. (unless you knew all this and just didn't care, if that's the case, then whatever I guess) :duranceleft::duranceright:

@HuoShan I don't use DEI so I can't promise compatibility with it. I don't know what character models DEI uses or substitutes in for their own units.
HuoShan Mar 20, 2022 @ 11:30am
@D0tDash When play with DEI,some models disappeared.

Thanks.

Thank you! Glad to hear people are liking it. If you have a chance, give the mod a thumbs up so there are enough ratings for the stars to show up in the Steam workshop, which should help more people see it.

Done some nice work here! Kudos!

because they don't look like northern europeans? what? lol
HastatusPrior Mar 6, 2022 @ 1:34pm
Yes, particularly for 3c, reusing on Rome (part of) the Gallo-Roman skins could do the trick. Very good initiative anyway, bravo!
D0tDash  [author] Mar 6, 2022 @ 8:25am
@HastatusPrior haha, true. I have another mod where I use some of the barbarian faces, and they have the same skin tone as the Romans albeit with different facial structure and more of them have light-colored eyes. I've also noticed that the color palette used in character models in Rome II is different from Attila on account of the different lighting styles in each (Attila is more stylized, with warmer tones and higher contrast).

VERY nice. One thing, though: this way legionaries look paler than Germans! In Attila, everyone looks emaciated while in Rome they all look fit, healthy and ... tanned. You may want to adjust that a bit, perhaps ...
the_moon_wolfy Mar 5, 2022 @ 6:59pm
Would be neat if it works with DEI

Great thanks
