@Banana Fiasco: I actually DO have a repo for this mod! But as mentioned in my previous comment, I'm setting up a new PC so I won't be able to update the mod yet.

Was able to dig through what was going wrong. The way the stone campfire is defined changed in the new version of VFE. The xpath for the patch to the campfire in "1.5/Patches/VanillaFurnitureExpanded.xml" needs to be changed from:
/Defs/ThingDef[defName="Stone_Campfire"]
to:
/Defs/ThingDef[@Name="VFE_FirepitBase"]

I wasn't able to find a git repo for this mod to submit a pr, as realistically there's more that needs to be done there, but that resolves the error for the time being.

Not the modder, but: those red errors should only be an issue if you need the braziers to link to other items as a meditation focus. Otherwise I think everything will work fine with the updated VFE.

@Psyckosama: Take a look at this mod "Onimods - Colored Fire". Somebody asked to add support for theses braziers, and the author said they'd look in to it. That was in April, so maybe you could ask them again?

@Psyckosama: You're absolutely right, and I agree that it would be cool (green is my favourite colour), but my primary objective for my Helixien Gas mods is to adhere to the Vanilla Expanded teams design goals.

I've got a bug when i use the "better pyromania" mod where pyromaniac pawns will go watch the fire and ignore doing anything else. They do it so much that they starve to death.

Well, my thought on the issue is that in chemistry, there are actually compounds that produce green flames. For example, both Copper and Boron fires are bright green while ammonia is said to produce a greenish yellow flame. My thought was just it might produce one as a side effect of basic chemistry.

Psyckosama: This has been discussed in the past. On the one hand, the lamps glow green, but this could be explained by colouring the glass housing of the lamp. On the other hand, objects with open flames like the crematorium and smelter burn with orange flames. This seemed the more "concrete" answer, so it is the one I have stuck with. (This was last discussed ~2 years ago, and I don't play as much as I used to, so if anything has changed since then that I haven't considered, please let me know)

One suggested change... change the fire and light cast from orange to green to fit in with the rest of the Helixien gas objects.

Or at least an option. Maybe a toggle?

Have a problem with helixen gas braziers. They don't count as lit but they are connected to gas network with connected tanks and there is animation of fire on each braiser. I guess it is some mod conflict error or something. If someone had that problem what can i do?

ok, figured it out. just needed a gas tank somewhere in the pipe network for ANY helexian stuff to work, even when that stuff is hooked directly into the gas pump source. i feel kinda dumb now ngl ;-;

@Solx: It looks like the Royalty patch is failing, but it doesn't specify why. Do you have both of this mods requirements (Royalty and VHGE) or use any mods that would make changes to Royalty? In particular it's nobility titles and requriements?

@Noisy Koi: I considered it, green is my favourite colour. But any gas appliances in the base mod with open flames are orange. The gas lamps are green, but it's likely the glass that's tinted. But for not at least orange appears to be the most consistent/realistic option.

@The Observer: I have added the defs required for compatibility, but Aelanna still needs to update the Better Pyromania code to support helixien gas. It's been a few months since it was last discussed by Aelanna, so maybe leave a comment over there to voice your interest.

There seems to be something funky going on between this mod and the Better Pyromania Mod, in that Helixien Gas Braziers do not count as fire towards the 'fire' need. Which is funny, because it conjures up images of Pyromaniacs being like 'well yeah, it's fire, it's just not the RIGHT KIND of fire'.

@Oma@Stricken: I think I've done it! Braziers warm you up outside, melt ice, and gives the mood buff to fire worshippers! I almost thought I wasn't going to be able to manage it, but then I found something wonderful in ProxyHeat's code that saved me!

That is super kind of you! I tried patching it myself. First time looking at Rimworld modding, so I am obviously not getting anywhere and thus am now also super interested how you solve it in the end.

The strange thing is that the ProxyHeat mod already has a patch for the normal Brazier to work, so I would have expected it to just work when I duplicate that patch and switch "Royality" for "Helixien Gas Brazier" in the mod search and "Brazier" for "HelixienGasBrazier" in the defName, but it doesn't. I know to little about modding and Rimworld to really debug it, so I think I just give up and trust that you are smarter than me^^

Hey mate, thank you for your mod! I feel a bit awkward asking, but I am planning out a play-through as an order of fire worshipping monks up in the frozen north. For that to work optimally it would be amazing, if your mod would work with ProxyHeat and count as a fire for the Vanilla Ideology Expanded fire meme. Then I could litter my whole outside area with your braziers and they would actually warm my colonists and make them appreciate all the fire around.

Yeah turns out it got moved somehow and being high on the load order caused it to no longer count as a royalty object, must have got accidentally drag and dropped. put it low towards the bottom and it works fine.

@Draconis: A quick test shows that gas braziers are still working on my end. Have you installed any new mods since they were last satisfying requirements? If so, I would recommend disabling them, confirming that it's working as intended, and then enabling them one by one (or a few at a time) to see if you can isolate the conflicting mod.

These no longer seem to be counting as Braziers for Royalty requirements, have two silver ones in a throne room and it wasn't satisfying title, removed a nutrient paste which counted as a work station and it still wasn't going so I built two steel normal braziers and it immediately counted even after I removed the gas ones, tried to flip it to just gas and no dice.
