This sort of works with DBH in 1.6; While it provides heat for things like showers you can't adjust the amount unlike the electric boiler so it'll be stuck providing only 250U of heat. Hoping for an update soon.

I saw August 10, then I saw the year. Regardless looking forward to the update whenever it happens!

UselessGoddess69: It's been a while since I tested this, but it they worked together last I time I checked! I don't think DBH has seen any significant changes since then, so I'd expect it to be fine!

@Ghost of Draupnir: I think that research might be from another mod, because I've never heard of a "Fluid Heat Exchange" research project. This mod only requires "Gas Extraction" (and "Central Heating" if you're using Dubs Central Heating).

Is there a chance that this boiler can be changed so that it's unlocked with the Plumbing tech rather than the Fluid Heat Exchange tech? Most of the rest of Helixien gas tech doesn't require electricity, but this makes it so that the gas boiler does, so, while I'm sitting here with gas extraction but not electricity I'm forced to use log boilers instead of gas.

@bitcnrerdgn: The only time I've heard of something close to that happening is when the user doesn't have either Dubs Bad Hygiene and/or Dubs Central Heating installed. Assuming you have at least one of them, then I'm not sure why that is happening.

@LittleJP: I haven't played around with it much since the Helixien Gas mod got remade, and I don't remember if/how I adjusted the balance. I'll take a look next time I'm working on it.

Okay my numbers were off. Gas Generator needs 600 l/d for 1000 W, this boiler needs 600 l/d for 250 U. Still not as efficeint as merely building more power and running electric boilers.

I love this overall, but the numbers don't seem to add up. This thing eats 2000 units of gas on max power. The electric one needs 2000 W. You can run more gas generators and just run electric boilers to be more efficient. For reference, you produce 2000 W using only 75 L gas using the default generators.

Okay, consider my arm twisted! I've made some adjustments to help with dependency checking. An error log will now be displayed on startup if both DBH and DCH are missing. The game can still be loaded, but the Helixien Gas Boiler will not appear in game. Installing either DBH and/or DCH will enable the def.

The corruption issue is caused by attempting to load this without DBH in the list, which this mod does not have listed as a dependency in it's About file. It's easy to throw it in with VHGE and not realize it, and now you don't know what's crashing your game.

@Insomnolence Elden Clown: Sadly, as this issue seems to only be affecting two people, and I can't reproduce it, with nothing else to go on I unfortunately can't think of what (if anything) in this mod could be causing your issues. If you have any more information, please let me know.

Having a very similar issue that Marcel had. Doesn't matter what mods I use, where I put this mod in the list or really anything. It will cause the game to say my list is corrupted or something like that, turn off all my mods and make me redo my list. Hell, one time it I truly corrupted the mods to the point of having to reinstall my whole list. My list is long enough that I sat here for hours, painstakingly going through my mods and testing different things until I found the exact culprit. Your other Helixien mod, gas production seems to work fine.

can you please ad somehow as an ingame warning that either Dubs Bad Hygiene or Dubs Central Heating are requiered? Because it took me ages to figure out, which mod was causing a big chunk of errors

@MarcelHard: It sounds like it may be an issue with your save file (as you've also noted). It's difficult to tell exactly what that issue is, but whenever mods are added, they store data within your save file, and that data can persists when a mod is removed. If I had to guess, I'd point towards something in that area, that some lingering data is causing issues when you try to load a new mod (and subsequently add more data to your save file). But as you've said in your most recent comment, it looks less like it is an issue with any of my mods, but if you have any further problems, or have any reason to believe mine are causing issues, please do let me know!

So it seems that if I add new mods to said savefile AND load my named savefile makes the game crash. Idk what the reason could be. Maybe said file was became corrupt or something? Because even when I removed them, it still kept crashing.
They work perfectly fine in a new playthrough, though I haven't unlocked helixen yet.

I added this, the brazzier and the production mods and they made my game crash (it was an already existing save). I do have Dubs Bad Hygiene. I would check if it's just the gas boiler one, or the other 2 too, but it takes 15mins to load the game, so... yea.
I checked 3 times: with all 3 twice and with gas boiler only once. Crashes were 5ish seconds after loading a save.

hottt3: Or perhaps you need to learn to keep better track of your mod list. If I didn't update this mod previously to support for Dubs Central Heating (was originally Dubs Bad Hygiene only) at the request of users, you wouldn't have been able to use it in the first place as a DCH user. I can't have optional dependencies. As long as this mod needs to support DBH and/or DCH I can't force a dependency for either of them.

Then make it so, that your game didn't crush the game even without these dependencies! It' a real virus in the present state!

The same as @Eyiss. I decided to uninstall Central Heating mod and then my game simply won't load the initial game menu. I was blaming the Central Heating mod, but it seems that actually it was this one!

OMG, THIS MOD has been soft-locking my game on start-up. I spent multiple days calming through hundreds of mods, trying to find it. If you can't add a dependency, please add a fail-safe for if neither Bad Hygiene nor Dubs Central Heating are installed? It shouldn’t soft-lock the game and reset the mod-list to empty. That takes me HOURS to fix with the amount of mods I use.

@Kosher Pickles: I had to remove the dependency because the mod accepts either Dubs Bad Hygiene or Dubs Central Heating (or both together).

can you mark this as being dependent on dubs bad hygiene? i just spent an hour working out which mod broke after i uninstalled dubs, because it didn't give me a dependency warning. silly me! :^)

does chemfuel boiler works with Vanilla Chemfuel Expanded? if not can you make it compatible?

@BrickWaffle: I just uploaded an update that should help.

If I use the Lite mode in the main DBH mod but not the separate DBH Lite mod , the vanilla boiler is renamed to Chemfuel Boiler but the gas one still doesn't show up.

I don't see the boiler at all as an option and I still see the vanilla gas boiler (that requires chemfuel) instead. I know at one point this worked with DBH Lite but is that not the case anymore?
