answer 1: please delete this Q - u made it by hand and sure u think something about the placement - all ok. thx (but i rework it as a desert map for africa and there are some decorations for me on the wrong place^^) .. Palm (ex Pine or so .. in Water)

@ScorpionariusDK Strange...Active Hotmod mod alongside Contact and try. I did many tests with that mod when i made a map so could be i left a unit on a map...

For some reason i get a crash concerning mp/sov/mid/grd_antitank when loading the map.
No other mod than Contact.

Finally someone makes big maps, I'm tired of small maps. Thank you

@northman007onTwitch You have to go to your steamapps\workshop\content folder and find which number is "Gates of Hell" (400750) is mine (should be yours also) and then a number for my map (the easy way is after you find that gates of hell folder number REDOWNLOAD my map and the last numbered folder within in it will be my map ::) and than just open it and copy paste it into your GoH resource\map folder.

Hello, I dont find your map. It dont appear in the map selection.

@Goldman2 Sure, could be that but also could be your computer not being able to handle it! It is EXTREMELY detailed map. My advice would be lower textures on high and try it again. The game need beast of a computer and mine is not, its very old and i can play it! Use Contact mod only and see if that works as you did not give specific detail of what you use alongside it if anything.Do you get any error or something?

Also i was worried at what you said so did try to make a nice battle and save and all was fine. Was thinking its due to update but nope or contact mod but nope. All was ok on my side.

Every time i try and use F3 to make a mission the game just crashes when I press "save as". It only does it for this map. Is the map just too big? too much stuff?

wow sudden strike 2 was the first ww2 game I played in about 2005! it was impressive!

Definitely missing those Sudden Strike/SSF days on Gamespy. This is an awesome map. Would love to see more of these.

@Sneaky Pete A true classic games still playing them ::) No game comes close to SS to this day in terms "Oh i played 10 hours one mission!" or huge maps! Like all games have some kind of limit so i cant play it my way take my time and enjoy it! Last mission for SS2 German campaign Kharkov took me 12 hours to do ::P I waited for 99 paratrooper call ins ::P it was soo fun!

played SSF on Gamespy for 7 years straight!! best game ever...miss it so much!!

i redownloaded the map and used the last folder in the 400750 list and it worked, thanks man. The map is amazing btw :)

@The Crescent Hawk Yes...i hope at least >.< As with SS1 maps i made for AS2 they do take a huge amount of time to make.Tho tbh for this one i went a little overboard in detail as GEM engine can handle only certain amount of stuff before breaking hard. While i am remaking maps for SS1 and 2 that are set in WW2 i do hope they can be also seen as early Cold War maps that might be used for mods like Hotmod 1968 (awesome mod).

Will you create more maps based off of Sudden Strike 2 maps?
